Re: Ferrets?
Yeah I've heard either bi-weekly or once a month for baths in general as they have sensitive skin. I've also been told by many avid ferret owners that you need to find the right diet for them and that will just help so so so so much.
Re: Ferrets?
Oh yes, diet helps SO much. When I first got my female ferret, Rose, we rescued her from a house where she was a free-roam animal with no cage with 3-4 cats in the house with her. She had no ferret food, and just ate out of the cat's foodbowl and scavenged for food scraps. I'll tell you, she smelled absolutely horrible. Almost an unbearable muskiness. After switching her over to the 8 in 1 ultimate ferret diet, and no longer giving her apple, grapes etc like her old owner was, she hardly smells now. She's still a little more musky than my male is, but each ferret is a lil' different.Meggers wrote:Yeah I've heard either bi-weekly or once a month for baths in general as they have sensitive skin. Re: Ferrets?
Good info on the baths. I wish I'd known that when I had mine. Mine never had skin issues, and as I mentioned, one loved baths so much she'd fall asleep she'd get so relaxed.
