I hate to keep jumping back to this thread but I have another question.
So if I go Worgen will she be able to use he sparkley pony and mounts that she already owned or will she lose those???
By what I'm reading she'll still be able to use them. But looking for a bit more conformation.
I don't care for the "running wild" animation from what I've seen on TB's videos. Looks really awkward.
I honestly should just spend time on my level 6 first and see how it's going to be really. I cannot believe I'm so undecided on this.

You can't lose BoA mounts (Sparkle Pony) just for a race change, the only thing that affects mounts with a race change is your reputations. You won't lose mounts, but your mounts will change around based on which reps you gain and lose according to the race you change to.
For example, when I changed my tauren druid to a troll druid, all of her kodos were turned into raptors.

I really enjoyed my worgen, I only wish they had tails! x_x Their rears look so... empty without them hahaha. I'm considering changing my druid once I get the funds.
You dont lose any mounts.
Then out of interest, if I had a Nelf with all reputations apart from Gilneas at Exalted (and the mounts), and xferred her to a Worgen, she would theoretically lose the Nelf mounts because her old Darnassus rep becomes Gilneas rep and Gilneas doesn't have the mount equivalent. Or does the keep the mounts anyway? Or do the reps not transfer for Worgen?
That's what I'm trying to get at. What actually happens?

I believe that you would lose the mounts if you went from a night elf to a worgen seeing as the worgen don't have mounts (I believe this was stated by a blue somewhere as well, but I could be wrong), unless, when you race change, you maintain exalted reputation with Darnassus and it lets you keep your mounts. It might take them away anyway, not real sure how that would work. =/
In the most simplistic terms without worrying about other reps, I believe you lose your mounts upon race changing to a worgen--unless Blizzard changed it and I missed the blue post about it, then I apologize.

You do NOT lose mounts by switching races to a worgen, and can use all of your previous factions mounts, whether or not you are exalted with them. I believe this is also the same as Goblin race changes.

Hm, I thought Blizz had said you lose the mounts, but I must have misread/misunderstood or something. That's nice of them if they let you keep your mounts.

Part of it was it taking me like 30 minutes just to create my worgen character. I had an image set in my mind that I, unfortunately, wasn't able to recreate in game, mostly due to lack of customization within the human male model.
I despise the running wild animation. I read somewhere from someone (I believe it was here) that they look like they're getting ready for doggy style, and now I can't unsee that; plus, I hate the animation itself unless I need a really good laugh. My worgen will be using mounts from now on. >_>
The males have a nasty, gorilla-like run as well that makes me grind my teeth, however, I love the females. I like that the females aren't hunched over and that they stand up straight. I've really grown to love my female worgen. I plan to keep my male as well because I like the story I'm working up for him. One other annoying thing about my worgen DK is how everytime he idles on his mount, his little howling emote triggers the neigh of the horse. Makes me go O_o.
My biggest pet peeve with my female worgen is the god awful sniffing noise that they do way to frequently, otherwise I love my females more than I thought I would. ^_^
It's funny but nice how we all have our own opinions of what we do and don't like. I don't like too many aspects of the female worgen to perma roll one for myself. A lot of it has to do with the animations rather than the model. The "Air Guitar" casting animation is a little off for me, the running wild is also on the nose compared to the the male version (maybe it's because they have larger shoulders or something) The very minimal face customizational options are also something that compared to the male counterpart is rather lacking.
But the one that does my head in the most if their idle animation on a mount. For me the constant shoulder rolling, head tossing and jaw snappy thing is too much. If it just happened every now and then, it would be tolerable, but I've seen it next to me loop over and over to the point I had to move away >.<
Don't get me wrong, there are other things about them that are very nice, however I also find allot of that in the male version without the things that grind me too much from the female counterpart. But hey, that just my option, take what you will

Nope. If Gilneas actually had mounts, then yes, they'd be switched to the faction mounts. But since they dont, you keep whatever mounts you bought.
For example: I switched my night elf hunter to draenei. She had all the first stage sabers. Well draenei lack in first stage elekks by 1 mount. So I was able to keep my Dawnsaber. It was so awesome. x3 The rest did get changed to Elekks, however.
As for Goblins, I would think they do take 2 mounts from you because of the Trikes but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I'm leaning really closely to doing the race change. It will happen tomorrow if it happens at all.
So I'll report back the mounts situation if I perform the change. She willing be going from Nelf to worgen so she has all the saber mounts and the sparkle pony. So we'll see what happens with those once the change is made. I'll let everyone know.

What that was reguarding is that before CATA, some horde players had already grinded up rep to get the Turbo Trikes. After Cata launched, if those players xfered to alliance, they got to keep the Turbo Trikes (since there wasnt a equivelant). It was fixed a couple days later and those players ended up losing the Turbo Trikes (they were alliance after all).
I personally say Zed ~ Instead of Worgen...
GOBLIN!

Character Race Change Ready!
Your payment was processed succesfully, and your race change is now ready. The next time you log into World of Warcraft, the character you selected should be able to enter the race change customization menu by clicking on an icon near the character's name on the character selection screen.
When you are satisfied with the changes, you can enter the game immediately as your new character race. If you wish, you can put off the changes for a later time and just play the game as before.
Enjoy your new character race!
Sweet! Lets do this.

Last update for this thread. I really enjoyed her. The sniffing got old quick but I kept busy to where I didn't hear it hardly at all.
I kept ALL my mounts. Every Saber and sparkle pony. So I thought that was just the awesomesauce.
I haven't played this toon in SO LONG! She was actually a pretty fresh level 74 and had just tamed Arc when I last played her. Her gear is extremely crappy. She only had six pets and oddly enough I'd forgot how to play ally and (no offense) forgot how snobby they were.
But I jumped her up almost two levels. She's now 90-something-er-odd% really close to 76. May work her tomorrow.
Here she is.

I love my female worgen rogue to pieces. The only thing I find annoying about the sniffing is how quickly she'll do it once I lift my fingers off the buttons. 'Okay, I'm done moving two feet... LET'S SNIFF!' If she'd only wait a few seconds I'd be absolutely okay with it.
