That's a shame Guess you'll have to slog it out to level 10. If you have any friends on the server with the rocket mount, just flying around a few zones will get you a few levels easily. Can you use heirloom gear at levels that low? Some of that would more than make up for a missing pet, and the experience bonus would get you there quickly. Good luck

It's an alt server so I really don't know anyone or have *anything*. No biggie, it's not that hard even then with the crazy lowbie health regen.

Go around and /flex at all the other lowbies hunters.

"I'm so pro I don't NEED a pet."

Then when you get level 10, pick THE hardest-to-get and most distant pet and go tame it. And take lots of screenshots and make a post because I want to read it!

I'll have to come up with a good one for that then. I'd had a Barrens maned lion in mind as his main pet back in the day, but of course my options are a lot better now.

Looks great with a blood elf, but will be pretty hard for you to get to (guard dodge gogogo).

What realm? I know it's probably principle at this point, but I'd gladly roll a lowbie warrior or something and keep stuff off of you while you get to level 10

Honestly, with the way hunters are now, you hardly need your guardian (can't even call it a pet) from 1-10 anyway. Spam Arcane Shots, Concussive Shots and Steady Shots and your target's gonna die long before he gets to you and before your guardian would have reached it to do anything.

As said friend with said hunters I am going to say while yes I feel the pain of having to level without a pet, dude, seriously, the pet isn't required really now. Sure it's a bonus but you have Arcane Shot now, don't you?

SPAM MAN. SPAM. I mean even without gear you can spam arcane shot, you don't need heirlooms. Stand at max range, spam arcane. Want more pew for your pew? Get to lv 3, get steady, cast steady first- spam arcane shot second. And what's more is now ALL mobs in the belf starting zone are netrual if I remember right.

So that means you can easily farm to lv 5, start doing quests, it'll be a little tricker once you get to Falcon Wing Square, but by then you should have Concussive shot. If not, just take things slowly and carefully. Besides the pet isn't THAT helpful as you're making it out to be tbh, or anyone else. Why?

You can't control it. Blizzard never made you able to control it. Not even a simple come back or go attack this button. So you can in theory still have just as tough a time with a pet, than without because 3 things are eating your ass and your 'guardian' is to busy chasing after something else.


hell on the ptr? The pets would glitch AGGRESSIVE. And chase after critters instead of focusing on your target.
