I'll note that the rare ogre that spawns around Deathmaw's cave area hasn't been turning up on live for me either, only on the PTR.

I don't believe I've seen any of the Redridge rares on live either, only on the PTR. I'll check again in a few.

Yeah. My comments on which rares I found were from the PTR. On Live, I hadn't yet done a lot of rare-hunting and couldn't tell you who was where. I'm pretty sure you're right about none in Redridge (I sure know Snarlflame wasn't there! He's a dramatic little devil). Not as positive about Burning Steppes; I *thought* I remember seeing Volchan (he's hard to miss) but I can't recall for certain.

Yeah, Seeker Aqualon, who I had previously seen on the first post-Cata PTR, is not up on live. Snarlflame has definitely not been around at ALL, cause I would have seen him before. I passed his spot many many many times while looking (in vain) for Chatter. Gonna make another pass over Burning Steppes to be sure, but I'm fairly certain there are none on live.

Oh! Is Aqualon that water elemental? I saw him last week on an alt, on the live server.

well i certainly hope they restore rares, add new ones as well. One of these days im gonna make me a big ol list of ALL the old world rares and go a'hunting.

Yes! Okay, so he's the only one. (And that would explain my seeing him on the PTR before, so I'm not crazy, yay!) BUT he's also the only one whose area wasn't changed drastically.

In Redridge, at least, it seems that the omission was intended. Not so sure about other zones.

looks like the new PTR patch added some more MIA pets, a new thread popped up and had confirmations of Timber, Barnabas, Brokentooth, and Zaricotl in the wild.

Hopefully the next PTR build will add more!

It's now using the spiky black and red spider. A model that only existed on a couple of mobs before this one!

I know. It saddens me greatly. Such a wonderful, detailed model, yet it doesn't come anywhere near the size of the other spider models.

updated with OOX-17 Tanaris Scorpid Duneburrower confirmation

If anyone cares, the Scorpid Duneburrower is still spawned by the OOX-17/TN quest. The screenshot below is shown from PTR but i tested it on live, exact same thing. Its still spawned and still tameable.

This mob is on the Petopia MIA page, and likewise doesnt show up under the Pink Scoprid list.
