This is a really awesome, brain picking question. :3 As for me, my pets would be-

Pantalaimon (Loque) ~ He's the whole reason I made my Hunter and started camping rares. She wouldn't even exist without him!

Toothless (Gezz) ~ I really loved the model for Warpies, but it just broke my heart that I didn't even roll my Hunter until after she was hotfixed. It totally made my day when I found out she was tamable again!

Boombox (Green Silithid) ~ I NEVER thought I'd grow to love a Starship Troopers-esque bug, not after being scared of the movie as a kid. But the way this bug jumps around so playfully makes it hard not to love him.

Bowser (Terrorpene) ~ This is mostly because, to me, this guy symbolizes my unity with the guild I'm in. The GL and his girlfriend both came out to help me get him, and I'm pretty certain that because of that I have my server's first Terrorpene tame.

Grimmjow (Magehunter) ~ Blue is my FAVORITE color and I really love the details the Runed Demon Dogs have.

This guy is just special to me. I spent to long hunting him and went though a lot of crap doing so. I can't imagine him not being at my side any more. Nothing more needs be said.


Balaur
I love this guy. And at first, I wasn't too sure if I wanted him at all. I was going mostly for the challenge that taming King Krush had at the time; to see if I could solo tame the great green dinosaur. When I did find and tame him I wasn't sure if he looked right by my side, then I wasn't sure if I liked his name. But a different name felt strange and another Devilsaur colour felt out of place. Balaur will always be Balaur, I won't have him any other way.


Om
I have two turtles at the moment, the old and wise Om and the young and firey Balrók. It's a VERY hard choice between the two of them... But Om has seen everything, had calmy rushed head first to face any foe. Although he's currently taking a well deserved break inside my stables, he'll always be my number one tank.


Khopesh
I can't believe how quickly I fell in love with the new brainbugs. Khopesh is just so full of life, I love his little movement animations.


Domino
This last slot is so hard to fill, jsut because I lvoe so many of my pets. But this girl just manages to scrape it. Ever since BC, I loved the look of the white outlands windserpets. I always hoped it would become a tamable model. Imagine my surprise when they were confirmed as such in Zul'Drak. For some reason, I never got around to taming her before The Shattering. No clue why, she's lovely and I'm proud to have her by my side.



On Slumlost, it's a different matter. As much as I love my little goblin guy, he has yet to level up much. Still, he'll get there eventually. And he already has one pet who he'll never abandon.


Trip
Slumlost has quite a rich backstory, which I need to write up one of these days. Trip has been Slumlost's companion for as long as he can remember, and the brown fox will remain that way. He just fits perfectly standing next to Slum. That and foxes are just so fun to have as pets.

There are pets I would hate to lose, though. My 3 other spirit beasts (Skoll, Gondria, Arcturis), my Judge Dred (soloed reg Drak'Tharon at 80 for the hell of it and ended up taming King Dred <3), Pitch (oil worg), and many more.

uggg, this is so hard! I don't knwo what 5 I would keep, but I know 3 that would not be moved!


Deadbone: He has been with me since WoW first started! I could never leave him! (yes there was a time when my bro abandonded him for a nether ray, but we got past that!)


BangaGong: My first BM tame! He's my raid pet and epic looking!


Sloth: I became attached, what can I say?

The others, I don't know 100%, but I'd have to maybe say:


Liberace: He's good with that sunder armor and a fine looking pet!


Some Comic relief after this devistating 5 stable slot switch

My five would have to be...


1. Rhino. I have more than one beetle, because I think they are cute and pretty, but Rhino is my fav. I think it's his color combination - blues and purples are so great together. I just love the beetle family. Great tanks.


2. Hooligan. He's.... so... POOFY. And he matches my hunter's hair and eye color. Didn't even camp him, just ran into him the same night I dinged 85.


3. Guinness. I felt so smart for figuring out to use the core hound haste ability before taming her - usually I have to look these sort of things up. She leveled through half of Northrend and all of Cata content with me. She was so cute swimming in Vashj'ir.


4. Brouha. I had the hardest time settling on a wolf model. I couldn't get my number one fav, Old Cliff Jumper, and so I spent the longest time "trying on" all the other models and colors. On a whim I tamed Bjomolf, since I hadn't really run around with a saber worg before, and he just sort of clicked... even though he's pretty funny looking. I've grown quite fond of him.


5. Doofus. It's a giant pink chicken. What's not to love?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Even the THOUGHT makes me shudder >.> I mean, I would need five slots JUST for my wolves o.o Or more!! I am a wolf person at heart, I wish I could get an Old-World color changer Worg covering all colors lol. I'm gonna want the brown, I already have white & gray (OCJ), and I wish I could have a pale gray too... I have a Snarler skin, and Ramparts wolf... >.>

But interesting exercize... and although I love MANY of my pets, I'll take the five I use the most, I spose.

1. Shiver
(Karoma)


I power-levelled to 85 to get this wolf first on realm (just to avoid competition, not for LOL FIRST). Pretty sure I was Horde's first 85 hunter, and probably 2nd on realm overall, JUST to get her. Not to mention realm-first tame, too (it wouldn't be the first spirit beast I did that for, but I made a hunter to get this skin originally, and deleted that hunter & remade orc when I found out it'd been made untameable the first time!!). I love this beasty, pixels or not, and well, she's amazing in PvP too. And PvE.

2. Talisman
(Lord Lakmaeran)


This is Lord Lakmaeran. The first time I found & fought him, he was a raid boss in Feralas, on an island full of elite chimaeras that is now sunk beneath the sea He was extremely powerful, very hard to kill and I died twice in the tame attempts. He is my oldest pet, and I still have respect for the boss he once was. He is also my favorite PvP pet, with a constant snare, constant speed increase, massive flappy wings... He's also gorgeous, with my favorite color (that rich royal blue) over his neck, and a beautiful blue plume of fire that he learned (last patch ) to spout on command!

3. Ochre
(Shango)


I find it hard to justify keeping a cat if I'm keeping a Spirit Beast, but by God I love this kitty. Always wanted this skin on this model, and I love his personality and his looks. He's just drop-dead gorgeous, and the overall personality comes across as solid and strong. I love it to death

4. Banshee
(Gezzarak the Huntress)


She's my tank, and a solid one at that. I'd prefer the "racial" of a beetle or turtle for tanking, but I don't love 'em as much, so I'll keep this girl. I love the personality and looks both, and I'm often trying to find excuses to bring her out ;D

Used him maybe once since I got Shiver (Karoma) and that was for a screenshot--but I still love him!

Azzam - Part of me is shocked that Azzy would make my final 5 list, when he's a pet I never would have liked in the past, but the other part isn't surprised at all. That's just how much this kitty has become important to me.

I had to edit to say, that is SOOO sweet. >.< I remember reading about you taming him, he was the one that kept hitting you in Sholazar on the rock, right?

"Try", I think, is the word. If I remember right, Veph was evading or dodging or something like that, but he just wouldn't give up. I loved that story.
