Meh, I personally like Druids better than hunters. I just love hunters cause they have so many pets to choose from and every pet have a different kind of ability. It's like having two characters in one lol

I have a boomkin right now and until I can get my gear up to the same lvl as my hunter it's hard for me to say which is easier to play in pvp/pve (Daily questing). The one thing I miss for any class is the ablity to round up a few monsters and just AOE them down.. Can't do that anymore. Just 2 on me is to much and I need to get them off me. The one thing I love about a hunter is I have a pet that can pull the aggro off me. I can freeze trap them and deal with them later and if all else fails I have the pet heal me and I Fake death till I recover enough health. Sometime I just have to let the pet die to save myself.

Just for the sake of things my list for WoW/just about any RPG (including D&D back when I played a bit):

1. Hunters (or any class that can use beast guardians/pets)
2. Druids (b/c of the pet thing from DnD 3.5, and pets in Diablo two)
3. Shaman
4. Death Knight and Pally are tied (They are close to the same thing, just different move names! xP, besides, have you ever played a level 20 Dragon Born Paladin in 4.0? It's insane... )
5. Warlock/Mage are also tied.

I always liked the feral aspects in a Druid. The highest level Druid I had was a 44 and the highest level Hunter I had was like 25 so I never did much PvP with him but he was great with PvE. I did do a lot of PvP in the battlegrounds with my Druid but always ended up dying most of the time lol I usually stayed on D or just ran for it to get the flag XD

There getting nerfed though. The classes in general are out of balance right now.

It's not a big nerf, really. It's more of a balance.

They're lowering Bleeds but upping the first initial hit, so to speak.

Hunter is a good class but my favorite is rogue and I doubt this will change soon

Well the 50 make sense if you are a frequent reader of his blog posts. The "hunters arent warlocks, hunters arent death knights" is not because he ran out of ideas, it's because he likes to pick on those classes. Just like he picks on elves as his hunter is a dwarf. It's almost an RP thing.

If you look at it from an extreme soloing point the classes that are OP are:
Pallies, DK and Hunters. They are the ones doing the "world first solo this and that boss" thing.
Druid is nice and versatile but not so much OP in that area i think.

Yeah. really they're just doing that because of pvp, which usually is the basis of nerfs/buffs of any kind.

The guy who writes Arcane Brilliance (Mage blog) has a similar schtick going about hating on warlocks. It's funny.

Then again, I can't tolerate playing a mage or pally. I've tried, really. Got both classes to tenish. Then I just kinda bashed my head into my desk. To be fair, it was pre-Cata. They may be better.

My first WoW toon was a Draenei ice mage. I liked her a lot but I also died a LOT and got tired of it. With the Cata changes, ice mages get a pet now and I'd expect them to be somewhat less squishy. Perhaps once I've gotten Rae to 85 I'll take another look at the mages but I'm trying to keep my alt-aholism in check for now.
