I'm hoping that there'll be another few patches, or at least one more. The griffins on live look a little... weird at the moment, so maybe when they apply a fix to that, they'll apply one for Olm and get him in. Maybe! Possibly! Hopefully! At the moment, though, I went through in another check around and nothing. And looks like no one else has seen him, either.

If he's not back by the end of the PTR he most likely will be back when Sian is replaced ingame, most likely.

Olm is lucky that he's already dead-looking, because otherwise, I would kill him when he spawns for making us all wait like this. -_-

Been over 24 hours since the last patch, and still no Olm. I'm going to say that we're at least going to need to wait for a restart, or a new build, before this guy's going to show up.

I *hope* that it's not going to be 'wait for 4.1'. I'd die a little inside!
EDIT: Oh. Dude. I'm a hunter trainer. When did that happen?

Felwood is full of rares, kinda irritating he is still MIA. If he is as big as some suggest, and with that new skin, I just want to see him. Huge spectral bird lol
i kinda doubt this is the release build on PTR, so yeah im holding out for one final build to fill in these few misising pieces.

Maybe he's going to be coming back as a Spirit Beast, different NPC altogether, name:
Olm the Wiser

And Blizzard would go thru all the effort to change all tamed Olm's why then? Seriously, why? We tamed Olm
Before he was dead.
He's not returning as a Spirit Beast, I'm sorry, but he just isn't. I mean this PTR should have shown you Olm and most likely any missing rare will most likely show up by around the end of the PTR or a bit before that, or next patch probably, or he will show up in the PTR/patch after that.

I think they need to switch it to "Olm the lost" cause he just cant seem to find his way back from the dead. I mean granted hes dead and finding your way back to your corpse is not easy.. maybe his spirit healer decided to take a break so hes sitting at the spirit healer (like in bgs) with a timer that restarts to 30s everytime instead of letting him rez

Since Death Howl and Mongress seem to have been pushed out from their former locations, I'll bet Olm will be somewhere relatively similar.
I only recall finding him in two locations from vanilla through to WotLK -- first, west of the main road at the top of a slope where wolves, bears and regular owls spawned. Used to be a prime herbing spot, now overrun with goblins.
The other was south of the main road, east of where the goblins on that side are now, not far from the corrupted quest plants. Funny thing is, that location is now completely devoid of animal and plant life. No goblins, nothing. Go farther south, cross the waterfall, and you'll find what's left: some wolves, felrot coursers, and a couple of ironbeak owls. Beyond that, Whisperwind Grove and back to the main road.
They may put him back right where he used to be in that second location (over the hills from Talonbranch Glade), or they may put him in the area between the waterfall and Whisperwind Grove. I hope it's the former, since the coursers and a nearby archaeology digsite bring a lot of traffic.

Actually, Mongress and Death Howl are exactly where they were pre-Shattering.

Many *other* rares have been moved, but the rares of Felwood are pretty much exactly where they used to be.

Olm can't possibly be in right now; there's been too many of us looking and combing the zone/surrounding zones. Someone mentioned before that he used to bug out pre-Cata, so we're probably looking at something like that, since every rare other than the Murderous Blisterpaw has returned except him.....and MB used to spawn BELOW THE DESERT sometimes, so he might be having similar issues. Hopefully one or both of them will turn up in the next build, assuming there is a next build. ^_^
This is all speculation, but I hope that putting it in writing will convince me to stop compulsively checking for him.

*mumbles something about Olm the Cheeky*

In terms of general location, perhaps. But for 5 years Mongress was stuck inside a tree and Death Howl pathed along a cliff edge. They no longer do, so they've been given a small push into open ground.
Edit: actually, it was 6 years before the shattering...
