Hee, just thought I'd point out GupPet has that option as well. :) You can specify exactly which situations that the addon will summon a pet in, and it has a drag bar so you can choose the time delay if you want one.

Ah, forgot Xperl. Not sure what advantages it has over Shadowed Unit Frames, though. But, with enough customization, I've become very comfortable with Xperl.

Another addon to, well, add :P
Thanks!

Uuh, depends on the character and server.

Image

Always running in the background:
DBM (I raid a lot so it's a must)
Dominos
Clique (for healing)
Grid (raid/group frames)

NPCscan

For roleplaying:
Flagrsp2 and Myroleplay
GHI

If I ever end up tanking:
Omen

I used to have Pitbull and Mik's, but haven't had them in my arsenal in a long while.

It does?? SWEET. Thanks Veph!
I just looked at it... Sure enough, big huge draggy-bar and big huge letters. HurrDURRR >_< So I bolded that thanks.

Quick question regarding DBM; I'd like to get it, but last time I had it...

Upon loading WoW it would spam
my chat box til it was full and I
hated it and there was no way
to turn off that huge wall of text
that would crit me for over 9000. << my chat box looked like that, just from DBM.

Did DBM get rid of all that crap, or is it still there?

I have tried a couple of "raremob" finder addons,
Actuall addons i currently have are
1. Silverdragon
2. NPC Scan/NPC Scan Overlay
I also have used some "bloodyrare" addon, an out-of-game "addon" called
Quick Track 4.0.3, im still not yet too familiarized with this quicktrack but im still trying to completely understand how it works. Hope someone in here can give some help on it that has heard of it. i mainly got it cause i was lookin for somethin to ease the search for the camel figurine and in some website i stumbled accross quicktrack.

may seem kinda exaggerated to have bout 4 rare finder addons at once lol
but who knows, one may be just a pinch more updated or accurate, but good to have 2 of those addons atleast , i think.

Haha, I'm just so freaking fond of that addon I can't help but recommend it to others. ^^ I've yet to find one I like as much, nor one that has such a comprehensive amount of features and details while remaining completely user friendly.

What can I say, it's a favourite of mine. :D

Huh - never heard of something like that happening. Give it another shot; it's a very valuable resource.

All it ever did for me was fill my chat box upon logging in with all kinds of "blahblah patch blablah Cata blahblah I like egss..." I even requested a way to turn that off, the author went off about how useful it is for people who may be having trouble etc etc... I love the addon, but hate logging in and missing who says hi and what the GMotD is (it's usually something regarding raids/heroics).

Thats why the letter J is for your guild stuff. :) You just look there. No one usually says hi that fast. XD It will post before anyone says anything.

Cozzene, I may have an addon for that: !StopTheSpam. It gets rid of a lot of the login chat spam.

As for my UI... It's not the most recent one, there's been some minor changes after, but the main stuff is the same.

Some points to make...
- The empty area to the left of my cast bar is reserved for my pet. the bars above said pet show my short buffs and all debuffs. Any long buffs I may have go to the top left corner of the screen. There's also supposed to be a warning bar for times when I don't have an aspect on etc. between my and my pet's frames, but it doesn't work 80% of the time. :P

- The bars above my cast bar show my target's buffs/debuffs - I'm still trying to get it to show everything that would interest me, but it's proving to be rather hard. At the moment it shows anything I've cast.

- My resource bar becomes invisible when out of combat and full - when out of combat and not full, it'll be half-visible. In combat it's always visible.

- In SCT positive effects go to the left, while negative go to the right.

- Any tooltips that come from a part of my UI are positioned to the right of my skillbars. All tooltips coming from the actual world stick to my cursor.

- TidyPlates and TidyPlates_ThreatPlates have taken the place of Omen.

Oh god, so many addons... >.<

_NPCScan + Overlay and SilverDragon - for those rares.

Altoholic - I have severa Altitis, this helps a lot, especially with keeping track what stuff are where, how much JP/VP, stuff like that. And manages my mail, as well.

AtlasLoot - Obviously. I need to know where I get my shinies.

Atramedes - gives percentage of sound on Atramedes and Corruption on Cho'Gall. Extremely useful for raiding.

Clique - Bind your clicks. I use it together with Grid to substitute Healbot, which I don't like, but it's useful for all other click-bindings.

CombustionHelper - The best thing that happened to Fire Mages since... Ever, really. Monitors time on our dots as well as critical mass and flashes if all three are present and Combustion is up.

DBM - I raid therefore I use it.

Decursive - Nececairy addition.

Explorer Coords - adds a dot on your map to show you where to go exactly to discover that portion of a map. I did The Explorer on 2 charachers thanks to this.

Grid - Compact, informative, helpful... Perfect.

GTFO - Helpful.

LivingBomber - monitors Living Bomb on targets.

Mage Nuggets - Now with Moonkin option! All-round mage addon, with many useful features like spellsteal monitors, AB counter, LB watcher (but I prefer Living Bomber for that), proc alerts, DoT counter and all sorts of other stuff... Works for Moonkins as well. And if you use Mirror Images (or Treants), it plays the theme from The A-Team!

Mapster - I'm frequently lost. It helps :)

MikScrollingBattleText - Best scrolling battle text addon I found. FYI, you CAN change the font, its size and opacity.

Multishot - that's actually a screenshot addon not a Hunter thing. :)

Necrosis - on my lock only. I can't imagine playing a lock without it anymore.

Omen - obviously.

oRA3 - I raid, I need it!

Outfitter - I prefer it to the stantard one.

Ovale - only on some characters. It's a rotation helper. I don't actually need it that much, but it monitors cooldowns as well, so yea. Helpful.

PetEmote!

Prat - Chat addon.

Quartz - Cast bar addon. Very nice.

RatingBooster - I'm mathematically impaired, this counts for me.

Recount - everyone likes to boost their ego with those colourful bars, I'm no different.

TinyPad - Notebook in WoW. For writing Star Trek fanfics while waiting for something. In case you wonder WHAT I do when I camp rares.

Truth in LFGing - this just changes the text on random dungeon queue signup. If you're a tank or a healer, the button now reads "Conjure Instant Group", and if DPS, "Languish In Queue". It also says "Bail Out" instead of "Leave Queue". I think it's funny.

TweakWOW - can change file settings for screenshots and base UI's colour and other stuff like that.

URMapCoords - very lightweight coords displaying addon.

XPerl - popular unit frame addon.

Zug Zug Airwolf - another pure fun addon. All it does is play the theme from Airwolf when you mount the Engineering helicopter. I have 2 charachers with Engineering. It's a lot of fun. But there's an option to enable it for all mounts, too.

I also used to use LunarSphere, but it wasn't updated for so long after The Shattering I get by without it now.

EDIT:
Here's a screenshot of my various addons at work when fighting a losing battle against Raider's Training Dummy:

So, after going through this thread, you all finally convinced me to give Dominos a try, and this time I think I like it! ^^

I've always been apprehensive about UI changes since, well, I like things the way they are. I tried Bartender in the past and didn't like it, but I found Dominos less intimidating. After a lot of fiddling around I finally got a layout I'm happy with. :)

NPCScan, NPCScan Overlay, SexyMap, Recount, Omen and Gatherer are the only ones that I run right now.

I've thought about Bartender, and will reinstall DBM when I start going through the newer instances more. Right now I tend to be leveling my little hunter, so I don't really need it for her.

For the Rendering my addons all messed me up and I had a glitch where I was permanently on a Netherwing Drake every time I went to the Outlands-this got old really, really fast. I made a ticket and was told to remove all addons-and Macros-then delete some files and what not. The problem returned once I reinstalled add ons-and so I didn't run with them for a long time. Waited a bit after Cata to reinstall the ones I considered crucial to my play style.

Looks nice, Vephriel! I can relate to the intimidation factor - took me forever to work up the courage to set up my UI with Bartender 4 (ack! My actionbars have been condensed into a shapeless blob in the middle of my screen!). But, I am very much glad that I did so.
Setanta wrote:ahh I see someone else here has ditched omen and recount for the duality of skada.
Yes! Overweight addon is overweight. Never did like any of the backgrounds for Omen, either. The fact that it has a Swedish name just sweetens the deal.
