Wow, I want... most of those. o_o I love the elite model, but the current colors don't do much for me.

5 and 8 look wonderful on the elite model! Wow, I would morph Naraku to one of those in a heartbeat if they existed.

Wow, those are beautiful. I like the spiky-er model for the Ravagers myself.

I might have to add them to the untameable skins list, then, since they're just variants of the same beast. No different from the saber and regular cats.

I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I was wondering if the condor skins are swappable with other bird skins (vulture, hawk, owl, etc.)?

Y'know. I got to thinking about it, and it -is- maybe possible that they could throw more elite ravager skins in the mix...there are a few mobs out there that appear to have more than one skin, but don't actually color change. Madexx. Wasps from Zul'Gurub...

They could just toss them in areas where we already have elite ravagers, so it wouldn't necessarily require them to add new ravagers somewhere else. Razorthorn Shelf is also a possibility. It's not really -used- for anything anymore. Why not fill it up with a crazy menagerie of differently colored Ravagers?

The ones that don't colour change all have separate NPC ids. So to add more they have to have new ids allocated for each variant. There are five Madexx ids on Wowhead, for example. That's why it was usually easier for Noah to assign a missing colour to an NPC type that was already in the game but was either a colour-changer or shared the same colour as another NPC. Unfortunately there currently aren't enough ravager ids in the game to accommodate all the colours (one is missing), let alone new ones. Actually, not quite true.. there are ravagers that share a colour, but one type is untameable as it's a pet of the Mag'har.

Having said that, there are a bunch of rare NPC ids that Noah had assigned to ravagers (people dug them up on MMO-Champ) that to my knowledge still aren't in. They could easily accommodate elite ravagers with non-elite skins.

Hey Wain; it may have been some time ago, but could you try pasting some hordescorpion textures on the old scorpion model and vice versa?

I know the eyes won't match but it'd be intriguing to see.

Opps, sorry, I missed your post till now!

Unfortunately those two models use entirely different skin formats. They couldn't be swapped at all.

Spiritbinder asked me if I could try lynx skins on the frost sabre cub model. And they actually worked quite beautifully. Up close I think they actually look nicer than many of the tiger skins the model was designed for. I think the red works the nicest.



So that got me interested to try out the new Druid cat forms on the cub model. The results, I think, are really cute. Baby Druids!
