So I settle down for another long day of camping when to my surprise my friend logs on. We run ony and tk together but he usually cant make it until later in the week but tonight he had some free time so I leave deepholm to go do our weekly mount runs. Tk was ok, pet bugged again but we managed to down him. No mount.
Then we hit ony and things go fairly smooth. I’m passing through the loot and notice that Ony’s head (quest item) looks kind of funny this time.
Then Cory says: “Oh hay look at that.”
I do a double take and realize it’s the mount!
“So you get this one and I get the next one right?”
“Well we could do that but you should go ahead and roll if-” too late, he passed and I won the mount. I have such awesome friends! >.<
we have kind of been arguing over who gets what….and by arguing I mean “No you get the first one.” “No you get to have the first one!”
so obviously he won this round- but I finally convinced him that he gets the first ashes to drop. ;P hope his ashes and drake will drop soon ^.^

So I’m chilling at my camping spot….watching full metal alchemist: brotherhood… got like 15 min left before parent controls kick in when suddenly npc scan goes off.
Ooo first bloodseeker? =o

Ohmygoditsaeonaxx!

Where is he? Quarry spawn? Nope! Near the entrance to the temple? Nope! Behind me? Nope! Oh gawd he’s on the other side of the map!
I can see him on the map but not on screen. Where is he? I’m flying way too high!
I do a nosedive for him, the arrow turns green and I spam click that sucker like there is no tomorrow!
“Defeat Aeonaxx before his whelps overwhelm you!”
YES! Now I just have to…..have to….hay where is he going? ._.
Oh…theres someone on his back already. Damn. =/
You didn’t even have the courtesy to spawn in the middle of the day so I knew I had a few hours of free time- you had to spawn just before I had to go so that I am doomed to spend tomorrow camping again! >.< curse you sneaky gnome! Curse you!
Ah well back to the grind.

Check Ponderance's website, there should be videos showing rough elevations for each spawn point somewhere. Cuts out a lot of the flailing time if you know you need to look up at this, down at this, should fill my screen with dragon right where I'm sitting...you get the idea.

I have checked the website and I have overlay so I know where he can spawn and I had a pretty good idea of what spawn points I was covering. He just ended up spawning as far away from me as possible…plus I have this bad habit of slowly drifting up higher and higher the longer I’m camping >.< I think the real nail in my coffin was seeing him on the map and mistaking him for a player and looking the other way. In my moment of surprise I forgot he starts off friendly and got thrown off for a second by the green dot.

Camping makes me go so brain-dead.

At least you have the ony drake to keep you company! She's rarer than Aeo is.

Yep! to be honest I like her more then Aeonaxx. (just don’t tell him that ) the only other ‘old world’ drake that can compete with her is the azure one. I’m mostly just upset that I have to keep living in deepholm.

Grats on the onyxian drake. I was happy to get it on Keenar and Zorikune on my solos. Took 8 runs on Keenar and Zorikune 58 runs. Still running my buddies through Onyxia's Lair, and so far 176 (Through all 3 of my 85s) runs and still going lol. The worst part is I'm still farming it on my EU toon. xD

Dang that a lot of ony kills. O.o good luck to your and your friends on the hunt.

Well a few more days of nothing for me. Zone was full of campers last night but all I found was another jadefang. (Gave me a heart attack) summoned my guildy so he could get the pet. +1 karma

EDIT :
Logged in this afternoon and npc scan went off and nearly gave me another heart attack. A massive dragon is flying right above me! unfortunately she happened to be somewhat more purple then I had hoped.
No one in the guild was interested in coming so I downed her alone. Kind of tricky since standing too close gets you killed and standing too far away means you cant heal your pet. Had to find that perfect half-a-step sweet spot. Pet took a ton of damage and it took forever but it was a clean fight with free epics at the end.

After that I did a few arenas with my friend but stayed in the zone. Nothing else spawned. Maybe tomorrow.

Dang o.o Just read over this. I'm tempted to solo the world boss now, but I doubt I'll ever live up to the solo hunter extraordinaire that you are. Major grats on your conquests, and I hope you get your Aeonaxx soon!

Aw why thank you. =) That boss is just a tank and spank to be honest though.


Week three of camping in progress. Didn’t camp last night since npcscan/overlay was all messed up and I didn’t feel like spending six hours spaming a macro. Missed him again today. Someone was kind enough to let me know another camper got him an hour before I logged on so I spent most of the day just fixing macros and trying to figure out how all my toons work now. Tk was a nightmare without a bow, I miss the guild summons and I’m still not sure how to play a feral druid but besides that I have enjoyed this patch quite a bit. ^.^
Will be gone a good part of tomorrow but my lil sis has agreed to keep an eye out for Aeonaxx for me since our computers are side by side. I hope he likes her more then he seems to like me. >.<

I hope third week is the charm- I’m out of Fullmetal alchemist episodes to watch! >.<

Missed Aeonaxx again today. Had trouble finding him again and lost him to a pally who had just started camping him 15 min before the spawn. >.< Aeonaxx hates me. I really hope I have better luck next time I would love to get this guy before mop hits.

This is the issue I am running into. I have barely missed him three times now. It is infuriating.

Yeah I keep beating myself over the head because of this. I can cover four, possibly five spawns from where I camp and that’s great but man trying to pin down where he is sucks >.< if I had had a clearer head I would have pinpointed him much faster. I hope I learned my lesson and will be able to snag the next one. It looks like everyone is coming for a shot at aeonaxx before the next expansion now. There are tons of campers to compete with but so far they have all be very polite and helpful. Hope the next one will be mine!

P.S grats to Coody on Time-Lost. He left the Aeonaxx camp to try his luck on another sever and it paid off.

I would like the Onixian Drake but i lack the will to farm it weekly A personal failing i guess, One day i will do it.

I actually had a dream last night that me and my fiance went to two-man Onyxia for the mount and it was easy as piss. Which is odd, I haven't considered Onyxia for a while now. o.O
