Hexapos is still doing it wrong. Tracks still laying backwards (I assume Glimmer and Pat are the same but didnt check)

Official word from GC as of several weeks ago is that hydras won't be happening unless they can fix things with the model that they dislike (and even then, no promises).

At any rate, there are no hydras tameable at all, let alone in Pandaria, so this is not the appropriate thread for this discussion. :)

Completely agree. But! The patch isn't on live yet so there is still time to slip one, or more, in! Someone mentioned another update to the PTR coming, so here's to hoping.

Also, where on Wowhead PTR database do you find the tracks? I tried searching for the old ones to see what they came up under so I could maybe keep an eye on the updates.. but I've no idea where to find them.

I keep checking here to see if an sb has showed yet. :( It's ok though. One things rare hunting does is teach you patience.

Frankly, I hope the new ones do still have tracks. It's not too bad of a system and it keeps non hunters from Smisher's Remorse.

Or from trolling. I don't mind an accidental kill nearly as much, because unless it's something rediculous like trying to shake a certain color of Madexx out of the RNG pre-MoP, it's generally feasible enough to find the beast again.

I'm so slow, I just realized that Bombyx is actually taken from Bombyx Mori, the scientific name for silkworm.

It took me a while too. At first thought it was a derivative of "Bombus", which is the bumblebee and thought it was a weird choice of name!

This is actually something that crossed my mind too! :) The backwards track with the pointy end kinda looks more akin to something his feet might actually leave behind rather than the lizard/bird looking print. Though, I guess the players are already accustomed to seeing this print the other way around and having one print "backwards" is counter-intuitive. Maybe. (Could be part of the challenge to have one print "backwards", who knows.)

Quite sure I don't like the tracks for Bombyx. Sometimes it's hard enough to spot the tracks (Hello Patrannache!), but somewhere like Krasarang is gonna be a nightmare. Especially when his "tracks" are not indicative of direction...

I'm a MASSIVE fan of the rare tracking mechanic in 5.0.X, and have at this point tracked down, claimed and currently have all 9 Pandaren rares stabled. Although quite a few are getting released today, as I have a massive 1 stable spot free now :D
