False; I'm the kind of person who gets ridiculously upset when a pet dies and will—several years later—tear up upon hearing or seeing the name. Having an in-game pet named after an RL pet is a recipe for disaster—assuming I was still playing when it met its eventual end, I'd never be able to play that hunter ever again without feeling grief and that's really not the way to spend your leisure time. Also, none of my cats have looked like any of the in-game cats, so it hasn't really been an issue.

(And yes thanks Magli, I'm alright now. I was very worried about my son just then as he was taken to the hospital by my husband, while I'm working my first night shift from home and could do nothing for him, as he was having troubles breathing. Turns out he has laryngitis, and the bacterial kind, so we get to look forward to the baby getting it now too, possibly. Still, my son is now sleeping soundly, not coughing and his breathing is normal. Thank goodness.)
