its quite nice with another mount that isent a dragon. However as an alliance another cat isent way exiting XD ive been hopeing for a new wolf mount for years.

I would spend a veritable TON of money on a mount like that. DO WANT!

I wish there was more footage of him running around on the ground, since he's what I would probably use on my alts if I bought him. Also having trouble determining how he's holding his front paws when he flies. Are they just curled up and under him? The firey-ness is throwing me off, I guess lol.

It uses the gryphon skeleton so I imagine he holds his feet the way the gryphons do.

Idle flying has his foreleg pulled to him, his elbow crooked so his paws come closer to his body (just like the grypons) but paws sitting limply, when he roars it appears he has no claws to flex and he keeps his forelegs close to him still, he seems to be very touchy about his legs lol.. kinda put me off slightly.

It looks too much like a stuffed animal (in my mind) in that moment and when he flies, his forelegs STILL are close to his body, there isnt much difference between the idle and the flying for his forelegs :/ All in all it looks like hes keeping them pulled towards his body since it appears he has pretty much no claws.. no fingers, like someone chopped them all off :/

But seeing as im gonna be facing his butt end half the time, i dont think its too much of a concern for me xD Theres bugs on so many things and if i looked at them all and decided not to play or use it because of that bug, i would of quit a long time ago

Yea id love to see horde side get some KILLER CATS and alliance get some freaky savage wolves XDD

I'm guessing it will be released the 15th, one year exactly after the Celestial Steed. Yes I know, it lands on a Friday, but the Steed was released on a Thursday so hmmm we'll see But that also assumes that the patch will be released on April 12th. Here's hoping.

I'm totally the opposite. I feel bad for the Horde getting a Scorpion (cause I still don't see how Horde = Scorpion) when Alliance got a sweet lookin' lion... cause yeah, Alliance Lion does make sense. But Horde Scorpion? Doesn't make sense at all to me.

But back on topic, I really love the fact that the new winged stone lion is purchasable from the store (even though I hate spending extra money like that) I was fearful that it would be an achivement mount, which so far I've only gotten the two-albino drake, war bear. Glad that this awsome mount is easily obtainable.

I apologize for going off topic, but I wanted to indulge my reason for why the Horde mount is a scorpion. When you actually think about it, it's a suiting choice. Like the scorpion, the Horde are tough and thick skinned and they don't take crap from anybody.

The lion is suiting to the Alliance not only because it's the symbol of the Alliance, but because many of the Alliance races are Light-faith based races who seek to uphold justice and tend to come off as being majestic--qualities typically associated with lions.

That's really basic reasoning, but I think the scorpion looks awesome for the Horde and makes sense to me.

Come to think of it, Orgrimmar's emblem does look a lot like a scorpion!

Ever notice that before Pitch and Sambas were released, every maned lion in the game lived in Kalimdor? It makes you wonder where the Alliance got their inspiration from (since Kalimdor wasn't "discovered" until Warcraft III), or where all the Eastern Kingdom lions went.
