And if you read, I already apologized for coming off abrasive.

No need to be nit picky about it. And I accept the apology Tyger.
Originally Trion had it set for you (not anyone directly) had to purchase the game and have a subscription and then your first month was free month. They also gave out 3 day, over a weekend only from what I saw, trial but each one of those I had seen was for only the weekend and only a specific faction, usually the Guardians. I hadn't check the website or seen on FB (not on there a lot) in a couple weeks so I was completely unaware that they had released the 7 day free trial. So by my understanding the information I was providing and /or had stated was not false it was just out of date. I accept I no longer had the correct information on it. I am only human and have a busy life most days and yes miss new posts pretty often on several active topics. It happens.
But see my take on the game above if you've not already.
I will post a little more later after I've played once or twice more.

Yeah, I saw your later post.
I didn't mean to come off aggressive. I'm glad they changed it to a proper free trial as forcing you to buy the game to play for "free" is absurd and well, the total opposite.
I'm finding the game to be a nice change of pace from WoW while I wait for SWTOR. =3

:O What is that!? I have never seen one of those!
Oh wait, are you Defiant?

Might be why I haven't seen that before.

Yeah, I pretty much only play Defiant. He's a Vaiyuu. ^_^
Edit: Also, I love the way female Eth hold their weapons.

<3 CLAWED SQUISHY-FACE ANTELOPE!!!! Also Guardian/Defiant can get a Yarnosaur/Vaiyuu respectively. It is an armored one from a neutral faction I BELIEVE. Really cool though.

The unarmored ones are a little odd looking, but overall I like them, especially the armored ones.
I really want one of the mechano ponies, and the ascend a friend pony is very tempting.

Thanks to Tyger, I now know where to buy rare and epic gear from rift events. :D Bought pants, and then a robe, which looks AWESOME with my hood. Dyed the gear black, and now I have a decent Necromancer set, imo. ^^ Also, that's my Kelari mage. Pretteh.

Finally completed the patch and tried it out, it's actually not that bad. I still think WoW blows it out of the water, but if WoW were to suddenly disappear I think I could make the transition across to that game rather seamlessly. Good programming, the controls are responsive, some of the animations leave something to be desired but otherwise it's all good. There's also something a little off about the camera that makes me uncomfortable, can't quite put my finger on it - it may just be one of those things that takes some getting used to.
Here's a good question though.. I love tanking but I hate "shields" and "paladins." I chose a Warrior and for the three souls I went with Beastmaster, Void Knight, and Reaver. Is it even possible to tank properly on that game without using a shield & block value? (Because I was worried that the end result may resemble an 85 Warrior on WoW, "tanking" with mail armor and a 2H.) This is the sole factor that will decide just how much of an interest I take in that game.
While i'm here I might as well ask, which server(s) do the majority of us play on?

If you want to tank without a sword and board, then a warrior tank is not for you I don't think.
You can however, tank as a rogue if you're looking for a sort of off-beat tank. Clerics have a tank spec as well, but I'm pretty sure it's sword and board oriented.
Rogue Tank Builds:

Warrior Tank Builds:
http://rift.zam.com/en/buildlist.html?c ... &type=Tank
Cleric Tank Builds:

As for play styles and such, I'm lost there. I spend most of my time out soloing and questing so I don't really know if there's like a two handed warrior tanking build or something.
