I've always thought they did a good job of dwarven females... although the bearded look is rather scream inducing... but otherwise yeah, I'm a fan. :D

Oh, I don't know, female Night Elves seem to have managed it!

But seriously, I'm going to echo the majority of posters and concur that I want my Pandaren females to be large and in charge!

This is EXACTLY why I appreciate the WoW version of dwarven women, actually. :)

And regarding Night Elf women.....they don't have to pee; they just want to remind you that they have boobs. -_-

wowwiki wrote:Them's some real nice groupers, <name>! Thanks for helping me out! You're at least as good of a fisherman as my cousin, Graun Blump. She also has a beard and she smells kinda funny, but that don't do nothing to stop her fishing. I reckon you have what it takes to use a Blump Family Fishing Pole.

Most female dwarves do not appear to have beards. However, Falstad's grandmother, a wild dwarf is described as having a beard and female hill dwarves are described as having beards. A female dwarf with a beard is referenced in a quest in World of Warcraft as well, during the Blump fishing challenge. Graun Blump is said to have a beard. Beards owned by female dwarves appear to be rare (especially in Ironforge dwarves[22]) however, female dwarves who sported strong beards are considered a sign of beauty among members of the race.[23] Two bearded sisters fought in the battle to retake Grim Batol. It is unknown if other female dwarves grow beards, but then chose to shave.

If by "classic dwarfs" you mean "Tolkien Dwarves", there actually were dwarf women, they were just offscreen (or off-page, in the books)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip5T89jfJoA

This scene in The Two Towers film version is actually based off something Tolkien said about dwarves in one of the apendecies to the Lord of the Rings:

Appendix A: III Durin's folk. Page 326 in The Return of the King - Unwin Paperbacks edition, 1974

"Dis was the daughter of Thrain II. She is the only dwarf-woman named in these histories. It was said by Gimli that there are few dwarf-women, probably no more than a third of the whole people. they seldom walk abroad except at great need. They are in voice and appearence, and in garb if they must go on a journey, so like to the dwarf-men that they eyes and ears of other peoples cannot tell them apart. This has given rise to the foolish opinion among Men that there are no dwarf-women, and that the Dwarves 'grow out of stone'.

So yes, female Tolkien dwarves did, in fact, exist, and not just in Peter Jackson's rendition. I'm simply happy that Blizzard decided to give female dwarves (and females of all the other races), much more prominent roles than in most fantasy fiction.

Dwarves have also been around a LOT longer than LOTR has, and in most of the common myths of them, there were no females, only males.

Speaking of which many if not all of the dwarves (as well as Gandalf and probably others) in The Hobbit were lifted straight from mythology without even a rename...

I do hope Blizzard makes our Female Pandas big and round. It makes absolutely no sense to have a skinny panda. Infact I am still in a bit of shock of what they did with Female Draenei. And people who say "Oh yeah Female Pandarens should be skinny" obviously hasnt seen a real panda. But they cant just be like a dwarf they need to be obviously large like a panda. Personally I have a bad feeling Blizz is gonna make em skinny to make them "Sexy for the Guy Players" which will make no sense and I will have to bash my face into my desk one hundred times. :P
