If I stick with a red organic one, he'll be Damu, 'blood' in Swahili. Was going to go with Ifrit, but it looks funny. I'll worry about names for amethyst/adorned jasper skins if they become available, and if I like them better like I think I will.

Still going with Kumatora (MOTHER 3). BEAR TIGER! (doubles as a goofy reference to the poor thing's model journey as a cat-worg-cat-gryphon-lion-man-bear-pig)

And still kind of hoping the cobalt with red mane stone model exists and is tameable, but if not the gray organic (whatever color is what I have in beta right now) will do.

Other than the three from before? Not yet.

Nope...just the three organic colors. *sadfaces* They're exotics, so I'm not sure why we couldn't have a few of the stone colors--shale spiders are, well, stone creatures that /look/ like spiders, after all.

Wouldn't be too concerned about color choices atm; all the goats are still brown.

Are the only grey stone quilen in the panda starting area? I'm thinking I want to change Guzou back to that skin.

this icon shows there are plans to have a flying version of quilen as a mount (if there is i hope a non mount version is made into a spirit beast of some sort)

That may be a good reasoning behind using the Winged Guardian as a base--that would give the least issues with adding wings, since they could just adapt Winged Guardian/JC wings onto it.

Yeah, can't imagine which wings....more curious will be what texture said wings will have.

I'unno...the braidy-beard works for me on a mount, but I think I'd be going into gigglefits daily with it on a hunter pet. XD

The flying mount icon is a really interesting find, and really probably does explain where they're going with the model skeleton But I still hope this current form is just the test version and there are further refinements to the skeleton. To me it just looks a bit more cartoony and, well, "goofier" than the proud form it had with the worg skeleton. Not surprising since the mount it was taken from was deliberately cartoony. But maybe that's just me.

It would be cool if there were tamable flying versions as well. If so I think it'd be the first tamable to have flying and non-flying versions in the same family (unless I'm forgetting something). While the winged version would be fancier I think the non-winged would ultimately get more use as it seems a lot of people seem to get sick of the flapping thing.
