Sounds interesting, and when I found out the ebook is just $0.99, I couldn't resist buying it.

Don't resist reading it either. You won't want it to end. Oh, and you'll HATE ODIN PASSIONATELY by the end. -.-

As for Discworld, I tend to skip the Rincewind novels, preferring the Night Watch novels or the Granny Weatherwax novels. Granny is the best Discworld character ever.
Idk, I have a love for Death and Mort. They're my favourites.

Death appears in EVERY novel! Even the Granny and Night Watch books! I love Death too, but I just can't stop thinking about Supernatural's Death every time I read a passage with him in it. It makes it so less funny. Supernatural's Death is a "I can kill you if I blink" guy and totally NOT FUNNY, so it lessens the amusement for me. I dunno. I just like Supernatural more than Discworld, so I prefer their version of Death. For humor though, Discworld's Death is great.
As for staying on topic, I'm re-reading The Shattering, which is the best WoW novel ever, besides Lord of the Clans, imo. I just adore Thrall, really.

Oh, YES! Death had THE most badass opening scene of any TV show character ever. He wins in so many ways.
Reading now: Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone (for the 29374832th time or something). You can never have enough Harry Potter.

I've started it, and I'll be reading it alongside my book club selection (a Vernor Vinge this month). (I'm very, very bad about juggling multiple books at once.)
Wanted to make sure you'd heard about AS Byatt's latest, Sarantha.
Ragnarok: the End of the Gods is currently released in Britain, with a US publication date early next year. I haven't read a full review, but the main character's favorite god is Loki! Not sure where you live, but bookdepository.com sells British publications and offers free shipping worldwide, if you didn't want to wait until next year.
I'm also reading Robert Sawyer's
Factoring Humanity. Not really a big Sawyer fan, but I borrowed it from a friend.

Oooh, I'll have to look into that. I buy British novels from Amazon.co.uk with ease quite often, so I'll prolly buy the British version instead of waiting for the American version if Loki plays a huge part.
Reading: A Game of Thrones, by George RR Martin, the GOD OF FANTASY!

Currently A Game of Thrones, George R.R Martin, and Prince of the Blood, Raymond E. Feist. Seems like I will start on Mistborn when I am done with either.

Just dug up this thread and scanned over it.
I'm constantly reading stuff, usually with 5-10 books on the go at any one time. Having staff borrowing access to several libraries is very useful too.
Currently in the reading pile:
"a Hat full of Sky" and "The Amazing Maurice and his educated Rodents", both Pratchett. barely started either but good so far.
A couple of warhamer 40,000 novels by Dan Abnett. Reading "First & Only", and have the next two waiting. I read "Traitor General about a year back and liked it; this new set hasnt grabbed me yet.
Just finished Scott Westerfeld's "Leviathan" and "Behemoth". Both great reads. The third is due out in about a month. I've read and enjoyed nearly all he's written.
Recently I re-read all 8 of Julian May's "saga of the exiles" and the follow on books. Theres at least one other fan of the series on my main wow server, named a toon after one of the characters and was surprised I recognised it! I really enjoyed the first 4 books. The second 4 are good, but not quite as awesome.
{edit}
Forgot to add the two books I was going to post about!
"The Hunger Games" - Suzanne Collins. This is the first book in a very long time that I've read through in a single sitting. I havent yet read the sequals but they'd have to be pretty special to top this first one. I pointed it out to the librarian where I got it from, and she's also read it and loved it.
An oldie but a goodie:
The Dosadi Experiment - Frank Herbert (author of the Dune novels). I must have re-read this one about 20 times and still find something new each time.

I can't wait til Alloy of Law comes out! The fourth Mistborn book taking place some years after the trilogy, which makes it sound VERY interesting.

I know! I just wish I could afford to pre-order signed/numbered copies again

I'll probably just gett he e-book, then order a signed hardcover when he has the left overs shipped to him again (I LOVE how he does that

)

I have... Mistborn, Hero of Ages, Elantris, and The Gathering Storm signed.. 2 or 3 of those are signed and numbered too <.< I love how he sells them personally signed from his website. He seems like an awesome guy.

Patrick Rothfuss is awesome too. If you send him something unique (not necessarily expensive, just odd and unique. One person sent something made out of cheerio boxes and he loved it and sent them a signed book), he'll sign your book for you or send you a signed book. Speaking of whom...

Haha, that's awesome.. I'll have to read his first book and try my hand at some fanart

Yeah, Sanderson does something similar if you can get rare MAGIC cards for him, heh. Or sometimes he'll have a special request and offer bundles.. or advanced reading copies... heh

Just bought a deeply-discounted (store going out of business) hardcover copy of Stephen Hunt's The Rise of the Iron Moon, third book in the series that starts with Court of the Air. I loved the first two books. The series is steam-punk adventure and is just fun! Highly recommended.
