That's standard training for any waiter/waitress didn't you know that? That way if you got a problem you can't speak about it becuase your mouth is full.
They told me 8 hours, but last time they told me 8 hours I got sick as a dog. A sick dog. So I went for 12 instead. It's good it all went well. I know how you feel wanting to be up enough to sit at the computer I just blob out in front of the tv. Computer chairs are not the most supportive of chairs. Surgery went well. I feel *way* better than I did after my tubal ligation. But then this was just a small incision on my lower thigh. My big rant now is that I want to be up - at least up enough to sit at my computer! - but even with the vicodin my leg can't take that position for very long. I'm on the laptop in a recliner in the living room right now, which is a little better, but I'm going to need another pill shortly and that will knock me out again. I should be mobile in a day or two, but in the meantime I am going to be very bored. And damn it, I want a silk worm!
And then! And then! While typing this up we lost the server that runs Petopia and all my other sites! We're back up now obviously, but the one thing I didn't want to be doing while in agony last night was trying to figure out what happened to the server.

Really. Firehawks. When I first saw the model... I thought it was a joke. Months later and they're everywhere. Everywhere. Not only are they disgustingly bright (especially the orange one) but they're *horribly* modelled and textured. Besides the Guardian Cub I have yet to see worse textures in Cataclysm content. As some who has been studying and learning 3D modelling and texturing for the past few years and I'm continuing to do so in my Games Art course in uni, these models annoy the piss out of me. They would probably annoy me less if A) I didn't have to see them all the time and B) If they didn't use the proto-drake skeleton which couldn't fit their animations less. Their wings are stiff and their 'flames' look dodgy as heck. Not to mention how broken their wings look when they land. They are FAR too bright for someone with eyes as sensitive as mine. If anyone flies straight in front of me with one of those, I have to turn the camera away to avoid being temporarily blinded. And because everyone and their mum insists on using one, it's almost impossible to avoid. I set my hearthstone to Dalaran a few months back. The primary reason being that it was less crowded therefore less chance of bumping into one of those mounts. The purple ones don't bother me as much since they're not blindingly-bright, but the anatomy and general look still bothers me whenever I see one.
What's worse? I know so many people to claim that this mount is better than Ashes of Al'ar. No... Just... No. I know in the end it's all down to opinion but, for a TBC model, I think it looks better made. The movements are smooth and fluid, it's bright but not too bright, it stands out perfectly and who doesn't love the strands it leaves behind? And the size. It's not too small and it's not too big... Unlike those bloody firehawks. They're HUGE. If someone flies in front of your camera, whether it blinds you or not, you have to move it around anyway since you can't see a damned thing. That was my primary problem with the Heart of the Aspects too, which is a huge shame, since everything about it I adore apart from that it's way too big.
I cannot stand these mounts anymore. They look *so* out of place it's unreal. And yes, before anyone asks, I do hate that one place in the Molten Front where there's five million firehawks. And I'm dreading the day I decide to do Firelands. At least in there I'll get to kill one of them. *Evil smirk*
God damn. I bet loads of people are going to think I'm just jelleh cause I don't have one. Lol, believe me, I'd rather continue using a Celestial Steed forever than one of them. Sure, perhaps one day I might get one and fly about on it for a bit, see if anything about it changes for me, but I doubt it. I thought, when they were released, I might eventually come to like them. But my opinion went nowhere but downhill. Which is odd, coming from the person who made a mount thread to display every single mount I own and I will continue to update as I get more. I love pretty much every mount, with a few exceptions. (There are normally various things I dislike about some mounts, for example the camel's bad walk cycle which is completely inaccurate.)

I know just how you feel and it really, really sucks. As if breaking up wasn't bad enough, when the other person doesn't even care, it's just a huge kick to the gut. I know it's cliche and when you're upset it's hard to believe, but things really do get better, in one way or another.
