Oh yeah, that's the problem- I know she's right. Sure, at the moment I'm not using my stash of money for anything, but whether or not I have spare money isn't important. I have a very addiction-driven personality and I really need to watch myself around things like gem purchases, because it's so easy to click the button and you don't really feel the money disappear, but you do see the shiny scroll...

Mostly I'm just frustrated that they're so dang expensive, heh. Not treasure wise but dollar wise. $20 for a scroll? I can buy a new hoodie for that much!

$5 or $10 more and you could buy a high quality action figure for that much O.o

I uh am like you on the money front. Just with expensive toys XD My bookcase has hardly any books on it

Well, today will be my first Imp exaltation. I am trying to tell myself that it's like exalting any other breed. I think it would be easier if she wasn't so pretty. But, like Lorelei, I feel a little (a lot) enraged right now.

Here she is, the random name generator decided that her name is Lukorra. At least I'll get an extra 1250t for her stripes secondary. Yay?

Imps suffered from being the special breed because everyone (including myself!) wanted to get tons of them because they're special and pretty. Now there are so many, they can't possibly all get homes- there just aren't that many players.

Now there are so many, they can't possibly all get homes- there just aren't that many players.

Yup that's a perfect example of "high demand for something" there is always a point where the thing that's in such high demand stops being in such a high level of demand because there are so many of those things on the market.

See that how Wildclaws are so few on the AH now? I'm sure they'lll become the next "high demand dragon" (unless a new breed comes out) and they'll go up in demand and then stop when there are so many on the market.

It's how things roll yo.

I happen to LIKE Clown and Tiger. Iri/shim is more valuable because they're gem genes, that's the only reason. Some colors are, indeed, super extra pretty as shiny (ivory springs to mind) and not so great as other types, but like... I think Obsidian is best completely ungened. Just that pure, inky black. If you make it iridescent it goes kind of a strange green color. Stone is also prettier, I think, as a non-shiny because it turns kind of weirdly pink when iridescent.

I've noticed a LOT of weirdly particular buying trends on FR.

No one likes black winged dragons.
No one likes gray (prim or sec either one, even if it's iri/shim)
No one likes green-and-purple (I LURVES me some goosebumps dragons, I don't know what their problem is here)
No one likes Lavender.
White is the new Obsidian.

I like black wings too, personally. I'm just going by what's always on the exalt bait levels of the AH, and what tends to languish eternally in my lair until I exalt it in frustration.

Case in point: My unsold wildclaw boy.
Heh, mebbe you should buy him! He's gray AND black winged. XD (well, stone/black.)

Why do all the dragons I want to buy end up being Ice? Ice eyes are lovely, don't get me wrong, and they wouldn't be a problem at all except that I'm a roleplayer at heart and I already have more Ice dragons than anything else in my clan, Wind dragons included. I cannot bring myself to buy more Ice dragons until I balance that out. Which means I'm having to pass dragons over, because Ice eyes conveniently match everything, so of course people end up wanting to use those nests. Ughhh. *weeps*
