There is no way to get Photoshop free unless you get a cracked version or use someone else's. You can get a free trial but the program itself is several hundred dollars.

As for free programs of a similar nature, Gimp is certainly well known: http://www.gimp.org/

It was created by Linux programmers, though, so I wouldn't say it had a very intuitive or pretty interface. But it's pretty functional once you get used to it.

OhgodGimp... Ive tried it before, i got so burned out and had so many headaches from staring at the screen and trying to make sense of it i dropped it all together.. its a nightmare to figure out @_@ But thank you for sharing another free program option for me ^-^ *flips back a page and continues to start at the gorgeousness* I absolutely cannot get over the style they're done in, just so amazing~

Same here Xakaal watching other people draw always give me the itch to start drawing again XD *goes back at staring at the art work *

@lupisDarkmoon thank you for the brush I knew I oversaw something :3 gonna try it out soon.

@wain I tried gimp as well but I could not get used to it so I stuck with CS4

Btw a lot of people also use Paintool SAI you can get a free trial for 30 days after that you can purchase a license for aprox 50/60 euros or something its less bulky then CS but it has pretty much the same features.

As a GIMP user myself, I'll admit I haven't gone too far in on it (If I want to figure something out, that's what dA tutorials are for.) My biggest issue so far is there are several features in PS that look incredibly useful that don't translate well into GIMP or don't work. (Clipping masks and scattering are two really big ones I've found so far.) That said, GIMP isn't a bad program, certainly an upgrade from what I was using prior.

Heh, I've never really had issues trying to figure it out, once I knew what the various tools meant. xD

Expression challenge: Drunk

Faron is a weepy Drunk. Okay, dogs can't cry, but he's still sad. It's not his fault that he's got Old God voices in his head (oh wait yes it is) or that he joined a Cult (Crap no wait that's also his fault) or that he hasn't actually faced his fears of the past (Haaah it's all your fault Faron) or that he has no friends (that's because you tried to kill everyone you know Faron).

Ah Faron, with all the Titan propaganda, no one understands those of us who follow the old ways anymore.

Here, hair of the dog that--uh...cheers!

Kozri is totally Faron's friend.

...He just refuses to admit it. 8D

They can be insane drinking buddies together, what with them Old Gods.

Not real ones, at least not yet. I plan to start taking them soon. At the moment, I'm chicken so I'm just taking "commissions" on Magistream for old Doni pets. xD

I love how sooty he looks. Very appropriate for a fire breathing beast :) Lovely textures.

Your stuff is so awesome. I think my favorites are the dragons, though. You draw them so well!

Lupis, has….

More art.

The wings dominate the whole picture and I hate it. I mean, I *love* the wings but they're supposed to mingle with the picture, not stick out.

They do stick out a bit. What if they where a lighter colour? Would that work?

Wait this was a commission right? Hmmmmmm.

Only way i could think to lessen the impact of the wings is to make the wolf pop a bit more, i dont know the story behind the wolf and if its at all ethereal but i do feel like he's blending in too much with the background if he's supposed to be solid. But great pic all around :D
