Ghost Girl - Burned Tower

"Yeah, it was PRETTY obvious that.. It was different from the Spiritomb you two knew. The thing I had to deal with in Unova was nothing but a monster." Ghost growled, her fur bristling. She couldn't help but glare at the two Pokemon in front of her, though she paused when she saw Foresight's ears droop, her own ears mimicking the movement. "I.." She started, looking away, "Look, I'm sorry if I sound.. Angry. It's just... It's kind of hard to hear that that.. Thing I had to deal with back then used to be a.. Normal Pokemon, that actually had.. Friends." The Wraitheon winced a little, digging her claws into the floor. "Especially considering that I wasn't the only one who died fighting it... I was, however, the only one lucky enough to come back afterwards..."

Catharsis - Burned Tower

As for the all too familiar cry that had set her on edge, perhaps... she'd just been imagining it? Then again, everyone else here appeared to react as well. Had it been him... no... she didn't want to think about that right now. Catharsis shook her head hard, her eyes squeezed shut for a few seconds before she reopened them.

"Thank you," she said quietly, her fur beginning to lie flat as she looked to Solara, and Catharsis allowed herself to smile at the Wraitheon's words, before she dipped her head in a show of respect. "I am managing, but it will be a while before I can fully piece myself back together again. It's just... strange... being able to feel so many emotions again, after knowing nothing but calmness for so long... Being stressed like this is refreshing."

Vethrfolnir - Outside the tower

"I see..." the Yveltal trailed off, brow furrowing in thought. Still, this was rather odd, but then again, Pokemon could be just as bad as humans when it came to wigging-out over something as trivial as stepping on a twig.

"Indeed. Don't the rest of you find it a little odd that you took the word if this single Stantler, especially if none of you saw the ravaged camp or spoke with the witness for yourselves?" With that, Vethrfolnir turned his head towards the Tower, before he called out: "I have heard their side of the story, now I wish to hear the other. Please, if it is not much trouble, I wish to speak with one of the residents who dwell here."

Solara
The Burned Tower

"Yeah, okay. I sort of know how you feel. After I was brought back by Forrest, readjusting to the whole living thing was a bit of a bumpy road. You should have seen me try to learn how to fly. That was an adventure in its own right." She cracked a grin at that, before growing a bit more serious. "I'll be a second. If you need anything, shout." With that, the wraitheon turned towards the entrance. She blinked at the sight of the yvetal that had appeared. That had definitely not been there earlier. The crowd turned to see her, frowning slightly at the sight of her, although they didn't immediately burst out screaming. There was still an undercurrent of anger rippling, however.

Solara figured that yvetal, who they all seemed to have been talking to, was as good a start as any. She flared her wings, kicking into the sky. The crowd seemed aggravated at the sight of that, but Solara easily glided over towards where Veth was, and the crowd moved a bit to give her room to land. The fact they didn't immediately rush her was a good sign as well. Probably because that yvetal was huge. Man, that dragon-bird thing looked like it could eat Forrest for breakfast and her for a snack.

"So, uh. You seem to have the crowd's attention. Can someone explain to me why there's an angry mob outside of my Tower?" That got the crowd going again, and Solara's ears pressed against her skull at the screams of murderer--more because it was loud than her being offended.

Peter, Gliscor
Blessing Headquarters

The Gliscor hopped onto the table and looked down at the Reshiram-blessed Grovyle. Peter seemed genuinely worried to him which made him laugh. "If she is only a Ranger then there is nothing to fear, my dear boy! She knows nothing compared to the vast knowledge you have. War will be upon us soon enough, my Assassin, but if you wish to delay the inevitable then please, by all means, do so. It will give us more time to prepare. In fact, I would like you to come out from hiding. Join the masses and spread your story, the story of a boy who lost his family to those wretched mutants!"

Peter flinched at the mention of his past but nodded, "If it will aid in our preparations, sir, then I shall do as you command." He bowed to the Gliscor and the six Pokemon surrounding him, then turned towards the doors and strode out with a look of purpose in his eyes.

When he finally exited the facility, the Assassin climbed up the nearest tree and onto one of it highest branches. He then glided from branch to branch until he reached the first town. This is where he would start. He jumped down from a tree and walked into the town and sat on the ground near the center of it. Some of the townsfolk looked at him questionitively. "I am a storyteller," he simply said. "I am here to tell my tale." It was then that the townsfolk started to gather around and he told them his story, the story of a small, orphaned boy who was taken in by a Reshiram and how that Reshiram, who was like a father to him, was killed by a mutant. After he comforted the children of the town, he left for the next town or city and so on and so forth. His story was a powerful one that struck the hearts of many Pokemon, surely they would all understand that The Blessing was only trying to protect them from a fate such as Peter's.

Foresight, Shadess- Burned tower

"Then maybe it would be best if we went silent on the matter." Foresight said quietly. Shadess paused, then gave a little nod. "Yes." The cries from outside caused the Darkrai to wince. "Mobs never change, do they? Do you have any clue what this one is about? It looked like it may be directed at.. well. Here." She added. Foresight flattened his ears again. "I'm not sure what has them worked up."

Blood sleep- Outside the tower

Blood sleep felt that for the moment, her job in the actual mob was finished, and now that it was getting loud, she could... sneak out of it for a minute. While remaining faded, she went up to get a better look at the legend and..... what was that? She tried to stay quiet, but she took interest in Sol, waiting for more information.

((*tries to imagine Veth dinning on a Ho-Oh and fails miserably* I am dying here, Azu! XD))

Vethrfolnir - Outside the Tower

Veth's eyes widened slightly as what appeared to be a winged Espeon emerged from the Tower before flying over to land near him, and upon closer inspection, he noticed the influences of a Ho-Oh. This one... honestly didn't look like the sort who would murder others in cold blood? Still, he would weigh both sides of the story before coming to a decision. He'd just opened his beak to begin answering her... when the crowd started up again.

"Oh, for the love of... BE QUIET!!" He snapped, eyes narrowing in the direction of the gathered Pokemon. This crowd was beginning to wear on his nerves. "By Arceus's long, flowing mane, all of you need to learn some self control!"

He returned his attention to this newcomer, before he narrowed his eyes slightly in his version of a smile and dipped his head in greeting.

"First off, I wish to apologize for having to do that, second, I thank you for your time. I am Vethrfolnir, and I was passing through when I happened to notice this..." He gestured towards the mob with a wing, though he inwardly winced at his lie, but he had a feeling that bringing Catharsis's name up at a time like this probably wasn't the best idea. "Gathering. They believe that you, or one of your companions, was responsible for the ravaging of a camp belonging to a group known as 'The Blessing'."

Catharsis - The Burned Tower

Catharsis's smile widened a little as she listened to Solara, before she nodded, remaining silent. When the wraitheon began to pad to the entrance, the kitsune allowed herself to frown, worried about how the crowd would react. She heard Solara speak, before she was answered by a second voice that...

Catharsis froze, eyes wide at the familiarity of the voice that she'd failed to notice till now. It... It sounded like...!

'But that's impossible! Loki... slew him...' She clenched her teeth, eyes squeezing shut before she shook her head. It had to be a trick, but then, there was no way that Solara could take on both the mob and that sadistic Yveltal by herself, could she? 'No, damn it. I... i have to stand up for myself for once... I'm free, and I want to stay free! So if that means having to die now, then so be it!'

The Ninetales drew a deep breath before she rose to her paws, her tails still dragging limply behind her as she slowly padded towards the entrance of the Tower. There, the Yveltal-Blessed steeled herself before she slowly moved to peer outside.

What she saw made her breath catch in her throat.

Scars marred his red and black hide, and his eyes were a gentle shade of blue rather than the icy cold stare she was all too familiar with. Unless Loki was using a Zoroark for an illusion, then the Dark/Flying Legendary standing there speaking with Solara somehow had to be...

"V-Vethrfolnir..?"

Venin - Burned Tower

The vaporeon vaguely listened along to the green jolteon, ghost and the new darkrai fellow who popped up, but when it became apparent that they were talking about something other than the mob outside she quickly tuned out. Wasn't important, she didn't care.
"I'm gonna go peek and see what's going on with the rabble." She told Phantom, before padding towards the entrance.
As soon as she emerged, Venin laid down on her belly, ears pricked to listen to what was happening. The mob was distracted by the big... bird-dragon thing, so hopefully they wouldn't see her, rush over and attack her. Not that she blamed them, the beast certainly had a... presence about it.
Sol was there too, she noticed. Or what she assumed was Sol, considering the tall espeon was now coated in feathers and had a set of wins not unlike Ghost. So did she die and become a feather zombie too?

Any ponderings were interrupted as the bird-thing started to talk, addressing the matter of why the mob was there. She listened along carefully, the very tips of her tail fin twitching a little.

Ghost Girl, Phantom - Burned Tower

The Wraitheon let out a sigh, trying to calm herself. "Y..Yeah... That's probably a good idea." She paused at the amount of noise outside, "I.. Actually have no idea what that mob is about." She admitted, before turning towards the entrance of the tower. Well, it seemed like as good a time as any to go figure out said mystery, if only to.. Distract herself from the previous topic. Tails swishing, she padded outside. "Hey Sol, what's--WHAT IN ARCEUS' NAME?" She yelped at the sight of the Yveltal, fur bristling. At least she had an idea of what had made that horrible roar now...

Phantom watched as Venin padded outside, nodding. He had calmed down quite a bit since earlier, his fur finally lying flat. The exchange between Ghost, the Jolteon-thingy and the Darkrai was.. Vaguely interesting, honestly. Maybe he'd ask his sister about it all later. As she padded outside the tower as well, though, he figured he'd follow. Just as he stepped outside the tower, Ghost's yelp caught him off-guard, and the sight of a giant red and black bird-creature caused the Smoldereon to jump, his pelt fluffing up yet again.

Foresight, Shadess -Burned tower

Shadess floated up to Ghost, one eyebrow raised. "Is he not with you? You always seemed like you had a way with getting involved with legends, for better or for worse." She was actually rather surprised that there was a legendary Ghost DIDN'T seem to know. Foresight tried to come up to listen better to what was going on, but ran into Phantom's fuzzy leg. "oof... pardon me..."

Vethrfolnir - Outside the Tower

Vethrfolnir blinked when a second Eeveelution soon emerged from the Tower, this time an Umbreon that held influences of a Ho-Oh, and Veth closed his eyes for a few seconds when she proceeded to scream at the sight of him. Then, a Vaporeon emerged, only to lie down close to the entrance. Feeling rather amused, the Yveltal began mentally counting off Eeveelutions (starting with Solara) to an old song about potatoes that he once heard a human sing as yet another Eeveelution, this time what appeared to be a large Flareon, appeared.

'One-Eeveelution, two-Eeveelution, three-Eeveelution, four,' he was beginning to wish that he didn't possess a beak so he could physically smile when what looked like a Jolteon (also with influences of a Ho-Oh) appeared... Only to bump into the Flareon-looking one. 'Five-Eeveelution...' He trailed off, waiting, but when nobody emerged after the Jolteon, Veth couldn't help his next thought: 'Oh, no more?'

"I wish to apologize for dropping by rather unexpectedly," he said finally, though he had to turn his head and clear his throat in order to disguise a chuckle from when the Flareon had literally jumped at the sight of him. "I assure you that it is not my intention to cause any of you fine folks any grief."

((I'm so sorry for that, but with so many Eeveelution characters, it was inevitable. XD))

Catharsis - The Burned Tower

The Ninetales kept herself to the shadows, not wanting anyone to see her yet as she slowly crept a little closer, while keeping herself lowered to the ground. She sniffed, trying to catch the yveltal's scent, and when she finally did, she went completely rigid from a mix of pure disbelief and a sudden onslaught of emotions she could barely remember the names for.

Yes, it was Veth, but... how?!

Drawing a quiet, though shaky breath, Catharsis decided against revealing herself for now, wanting to do her best to recollect herself so she (hopefully) wouldn't end up breaking down into a sorry pile of emotions when she finally got the courage to say hello.

also yeah Forrest wouldn't make a good meal. He's tiny and bony and he'd probably get stuck in Veth's throat

Solara
Outside the Tower

Solara flinched at the shouting, but she nodded at Veth. "S'okay. Hopefully they'll start being quiet though. This screeching is wearing thin on one of the folks in my Tower. And I'm Solara, Champion of Forr---hey, whoa, what? Wait? Sorry, they said we killed an entire Blessing camp?" She fluffed up her feathers indignantly, narrowing her eyes at the crowd. "We didn't do that at all! We had a bunch of scared pokemon in our Tower and we decided to investigate the Camp. We figured that the pokemon weren't safe, so my boss has lead 'em somewhere safer. Looks like we were right if something tore through the Camp. We saved a bunch of lives!" She paused, scowling. "What do you mean it's destroyed, anyways?"

She looked over at the Tower as the procession began walking out and snorted. "Took 'em long enough," She remarked to Veth. "I'm sure they're fine, just never seen a pokemon like you before....granted, neither have I really. Unless your species is supposed to have four wings and two heads? Thought not." She said with a shrug.

((I'm sorry for being part of the lack of activity as well. It's been a very slow day all over the boards. And I'm going to hold off on posting for Catharsis for now, since she's just waiting and listening in the shadows.))

Vethrfolnir - Outside the Tower

"It was never my intention to upset anyone," Veth replied, casting a quick glance at the Tower to see if anyone else had emerged, before once again returning his attention to Solara. "But given current circumstances," he turned his attention to the crowd for added emphasis as he spoke. "It could not be avoided."

His gaze drifted over to where the Gogoat and his small group, and for a moment, he was puzzled when there were three new faces amongst them, before he realized that such a reunion must've happened while he'd been busy trying to keep the crowd quiet and somewhat organized. When Solara began yelling, the Yveltal's attention was once again pulled back to her, his head tilting slightly to one side. And when she spoke of saving lives, the crowd started to protest, only to fall to angry murmuring when Vethrfolnir turned his head to narrow his eyes at them in warning.

"Search me," he said after a moment, before he turned his head slightly, his blue eyes focusing intently upon a certain Stantler. "This gentleman says that he spoke to someone who personally witnessed the destruction of said camp; however, when I asked if the witness was here in attendance, he said that they were under a lot of stress and were currently resting. That is understandable, yet, I find it odd that he didn't bother to give me your description or the description of any of your companions alongside his accusations. Which makes me wonder..."

The red and black bird-like Legendary trailed off then, his gaze returning to rest upon Solara when she spoke again -- this time a rather... odd... question about himself.

"...No, we do not," he replied after some hesitation, brow furrowing in slight puzzlement over her comment before he realized that it was just a silly question. "I am from the Kalos region, that may explain why you know so little about my kind. I warn you, though, not every Yveltal will be willing to settle down and parley. Most members of my species are known to be rather... violent, and associated with death and destruction. To be frank, it is not a subject I enjoy discussing; however, I will answer any questions you wish to ask."

((Bwahaha, poking fun at the stupid amount of Eeveelutions is perfectly acceptable! XD I couldn't help but even sing along with Veth in my head. It's a rather catchy alternative to the original song. XP))

Ghost Girl, Phantom - Outside the Burned Tower

Ghost had since paused to listen to the conversation between Solara and the large bird, her tails twitching. Finally she spoke up, but only after shooting a glare towards the mob. "Honestly, this sounds like a bunch of nonsense." She began, rolling her eyes as more cries came from the crowd. "Dear Arceus above... But seriously, what the hell kind of claim is that, anyway? We would never do that. From what we could tell, there was no immediate REASON to even harm the Blessing!" Sure they had been suspicious, and were still convinced something was.. Off, even after visiting the camp, but there had been nothing so blatantly wrong it would warrant an immediate attack. She jumped into the air, gliding over to land beside Solara. Looking around at the crowd of Pokemon, she called, "Hey, mind at least giving us one actual reason why we'd wipe out their camp or something? Because unless you have a single freaking reason, your claim of us being murderers sounds even MORE absurd than it already does! And trust me, it already sounds beyond stupid."

"Oh, brilliant, a frigging death bird, that's just what we need..." Phantom grumbled, moving closer to Venin. The shouts from the crowd and their apparent claims were a little worrying, he had to admit. What in the hell had his sister gotten herself into this time?

Solara
Outside the Tower

The crowd was murmuring, having lost a lot of their steam in the face of logic. Already numerous pokemon were beginning to slink off in shame. A few tried shouting answers back, but thinking about it they began to realize they felt very stupid. As the crowd more or less began to disperse, Solara turned her attention back to Veth. "A Yvetal, huh? Yeah, I'll admit first time I've actually met one proper. Well, a proper one, anyways. Death and destruction?" She paused, frowning slightly in sympathy. "Alright, I won't press you on it."

She looked over as Ghost joined her, nodding. "We should go check out that camp ourselves, anyways. If something really did happen, we'd better find out. Not sure I like people accusing me of crimes I didn't commit on a good day, but if people are actually hurt because of it?" She fluffed up her wings, a determined look on her face.

Vethrfolnir and Catharsis - Outside the Burned Tower

Veth fell silent, listening to the Umbreon Champion's words after she had landed near him. She definitely had a point about none of the crowd members having given any true reasons for why this 'Blessing' would provoke such an attack. All in all, it was just becoming more and more strange the more the Yveltal learned bits and pieces. When a good part of the mob finally turned to go their separate ways, the avian allowed himself to relax a little, even when Solara once again addressed him, his eyes narrowing a tiny bit in amusement at her choice of words.

"It is appreciated. However," the Yveltal turned to rest his attention upon the Burned Tower before he spoke again, addressing both Solara and Phantom's words. "Most tend to forget that death and destruction are very much a part of life. Unlike most of my kin, I only take a life if it is out of mercy or necessity, and never for petty reasons. Most are thankful that there are not very many of us in the world."

'Veth isn't like others of his kind, you giant walking fuzzball!' The Ninetales narrowed her eyes at Phantom's words in regards to Vethrfolnir's species, but she managed to keep herself quiet. 'He's different, and I love him for it.'

The avian paused when the Espeon Champion spoke about investigating the camp, and he promptly turned his gaze to her.
"If it would be no trouble, I would like to accompany you," he said quietly. "I wish to see this evidence for myself, but if you would prefer that I remain here to address what's left of the crowd, that is perfectly fine with me as well."

Blood sleep, Foresight, Shadess- burned tower

"I hope you don't mind that I would like to come as well." Blood sleep said, appearing before the Legend and two champions. "I've been listening for a while, you see, and you seem trustworthy enough. Aside from the fact that I can make you sleep at any time." She looked virtually identical to her mother, at first glance. but dark shapes usually do, especially when it's darker out. Her red eyes quickly distinguished her, however. As did the necklace. "Please don't be alarmed." The Umbreon looked familiar... She just couldn't put her finger on it.

Shadess blinked when her daughter unfaded. She could be so rash, throwing caution to the wind. She frowned. "Blood sleep.." She muttered. "I will never understand you." Foresight flicked an ear to Shadess. "Who is Blood sleep? Or is this some kind of newer Darkrai swear?" He asked, which caused the Old Darkrai to look down at the shiny. "She's my daughter." Foresight gave a little smile at these words.

((Great job, Phantom. Maybe keep your mouth shut around the big intimidating Legendaries next time, dork. XD))

Ghost Girl, Phantom - Outside the Burned Tower

Phantom's fur fluffed out a little as Veth seemed to respond to his comment, ears flattening back. Maybe making dumb comments on giant death-birds where they could hear you wasn't such a great idea. But then, Phantom had never really been known for having smart ideas.

The Wraitheon nodded at her companion, flaring her wings. "We should." She glanced up at Veth, giving him a smile, "I don't have any issue with it. You, Sol?" She turned her gaze back to the other Wraitheon, then paused as a Darkrai appeared. It took Ghost a moment to realize it was a second Darkrai, and Shadess' daughter from the older Dark type's words, too. "Don't really have any issue with that, either." She replied.

Solara
Outside the Tower

"Nope, the more the merrier. Especially if something did attack that camp and if they're still lurking around...?" She shuddered a bit. "What can I say. Not a fan of the da--" She jumped slightly at the sight of Blood Sleep unfading, quickly grinning to try and regain her cool. "Sure, why not. Although if you try putting me down to sleep I'll have you know I probably drool. And when I wake up..." The wraitheon's smile grew wider at that, and she shoved off into the air, hovering. "Probably wouldn't be pretty. So maybe we should avoid the whole sleep thing."

((He had it coming. XD))

Vethrfolnir - Outside the Burned Tower

"Thank you both," he replied, dipping his head in a show of gratitude, his eyes resting upon Ghost for a moment. When Blood Sleep faded in, the Yveltal didn't even bat an eye. Being a Dark-type himself, there really wasn't much that could faze him when it came to other 'mon who shared his element.

"And I highly doubt any of you would want me suddenly toppling over in a deep sleep, either. I tend to snore. Loudly. And I doubt any of you wish to hear that anytime soon," Veth added, a hint of amusement to his voice as his gaze fell upon the Darkrai, before darting over to focus upon Solara when she spoke, a barely audible snort of laughter leaving him.

"It's settled, then," he said after a few moments, waiting until the others were airborne before he joined them, the draft from his large wings causing the nearby trees to stir.

(I think it's taking all of us awhile to respond today XD)

Random Pokemon among the crowd

"Hey, did you hear?" A Sandshrew turned to the Pokemon around him. "Some mutant killed a Grovyle's only family member. Between that, and the destruction of this camp…"

"Yeah, I heard that too," a Slowbro responded. "Maybe mutant Pokemon really are a threat, so even if The Blessing are prejudice against them…"

"They're just trying to protect us," a Scyther agreed.
