If the Well of Eternity instance was bigger, I would say it is a possibility. But, sadly, the portion accessible to players is rather small.

Well, for the corrupted hippogryph I've been wondering if it's in an instance as well. If it is her pet, and it didn't fly off into some other part of Suramar or the broken isles (which I did consider, checked even highmountain, but not stormheim so much), she'd obviously want to keep it close. And what's closer than the heart of the Nighthold? She even has the secret room there, only accessible when a WQ is up or if you jump off the side and drop down to it after Gul'dan.
But most instances I try to enter I get transfer aborted, and there's no way to get a raid group going for NH. There's also Tomb of sargeras and the new dungeon... Tomb & the broken shore is technically part of Suramar after all, and close enough to the city for it to still make sense for her pet to have been wandering around... but I don't want to do the Broken shore quests to get into the dungeon and spoil it for live tbh. Already flew around the entire outside zone. I thought maybe Gon was in ZA or ZG as well, or any of the other troll dungeons/raids, but like I said transfer aborted. :/
It would be really odd to throw them in an instance though, but at this point I'll try anything. I think I checked literally every tunnel, cave, building and cranny in Suramar and the city. But didn't see any items, at least none I could get to. All the elites on the right side of the city are a pain. But I'm surprised if I didn't find the corrupted, I didnt' somehow run into Netherbeak or the owl kitten if they were in Suramar as well.

I too have thoroughly searched Suramar and Suramar City. Have found a few caves that are very well hidden, but nothing in them. I've searched every building in the city, including the rooftops.
I doubt it would be inside the new raid or dungeon. If Blizz is going to put a pet into an instance, it'll be something soloable.
I really have no idea where any of them could be. I will probably do a bit more searching, but I'm not going to go all out again until we get confirmation that what we're searching for can actually be found.

Broken Shore? Plus, if it's part of a WQ or something (which would suck but would also not be out of Blizzard's wheelhouse to do) it might not be up/phased in all the time as the WQ wouldn't be active.
Broken Shore sounds a lot more likely to me than Suramar proper.

I'm probably very wrong (what else is new? *snerk*) but my gut is telling me Gon is definitely going to have something to do with the Zandalar. Well of Eternity yes is tiny but the dark trolls and the Zandalar had so much to do with it my gut is almost telling me they may be involved somehow. Like Gon is a reborn loa.
It's also unknown what happened to the last vials of WofE water that Illidan had. He's a good guy now! But I digress.
The other place I was thinking. Again. Outside the box is the Sunken Temple, Swamp of Sorrows. He was called Hakkar the Soulflayer for a reason. When he was destroyed his remains were brought to the Zandalar to be destroyed. However the majority of his body was sent to Zul'Gurub to be resurrected by the priests. What if Gon is a quest like Gara and it started in Swamp of sorrows and finished in ZG??? There are some crazy ass trolls in the sunken temple. And no there are no raptors but it would kind of make for a cool story /quest line. Right? *makes crazy eyes*
The hippogryph is tougher to noodle out though for me. I know it's her pet but Blizz could be jerks and go off story and put it just about anywhere something corrupted could fit.
What about under water? in the canals? Dumb idea but if it did stay in the city is there a change it's someplace underneath? Any nearby caves that actually go under the city it'self or extremely close?
Edit: Also what if he wasn't corrupted until the barrier came down? In the cinematic you see fel flame balls hitting the city. What if one of those hit him, corrupted him and that's why he's so hard to find in or out of the city. He very well could be on the Broken Shore.

Between the finding of the Well of Eternity by the Dark Trolls and its destruction, thousands of years had passed. Further, the Zandalari had nothing to do with the Dark Trolls or the Well.
As for the Vials, we do know what happened to them. Rather, the final one. It was revealed during the Green Fire questline that Illidan most likely used it to empower the font of arcane energy with the Black Temple.
something that many don't realize is that not all Trolls utilize/revere Raptors. For example, Forest Trolls hate Raptors, which is why Zul'aman is a very unlikely place. Same goes for Sand Trolls.
Actually, his body was never destroyed. The one in the Sunken Temple is his Avatar, not actually him. Similar to how the Avatar of Sargeras isn't actually Sargeras, just a small portion of his power. Back in the old ZG, the player would just take a surviving kernel of Hakkar's power to the Zandalari in hopes they would destroy it. We learned in the new ZG that they utilized it to bind Hakkar, whom still lingers in another realm until he inevitably returns.
I highly, highly doubt Blizz would just call it Elisande's Pet just to be jerks to us. It is relevant to its location. If they are just going to put it anywhere fel-corrupted, then there is absolutely no reason for it to be called her pet. If you can think of a good reason, please share.
The only caves that go under the city is the Arcway, which we cannot access due to them being locked to us most of the time. Even then, a Hippogryph would want access to the sky. The Arcway is a deep, deep labyrinth with few entrances and exits.

I think that's the part that needles at me the most. Him (?) being Elisande's Pet.
My only thought is ................ maybe having to kill her outside the raid to make him tamable? Or some item in Suramar itself that renders him tamable. I think someone mentioned this before but his being like the fel wolf and needing something like the Vial of Fel Cleansing.
In a way this is kind of unprecedented in WoW. Being able to tame a NPC's pet /companion? Am I the only one tripping off that? Probably. Gaw my ADHD is bad tonight.
I wonder if it is an object in Suramar city that is the key.

If my pet ran away to another town, I'd still call it my pet and want to find it. Just saying! Maybe this Elisande (or w/e) lady just hasn't put up the "Missing Pet" posters yet?

I am a bit surprised you two don't know who Elisande is. She is the Magistrix (Queen, more or less) of the Nightborne. She is the second-to-last boss of the Nighthold raid. She has already been killed. There is no Hippogryph in the Nighthold, aside from those spawned from a very rare WQ that spawns once every several months (doesn't spawn Fel Hippogryphs).

I'm keeping an eye on almost the same things. I'm not concerned about Charfeather, Suramar Hippogryph, or the Unbound Hippogryph. Those three were added in 7.0, which was Alpha/Beta. Charfeather isn't even anything special atm.

I don't play the game enough to know every morsel of lore. I don't even raid. I was just trying to lighten the mood and offer another perspective, yeesh.

Forgive me but it's very frustrating when someone ASSumes something without asking.
I may not have ran Nighthold yet but I very much know who she is. I do read.
I asked several questions to which were replied snarkly and not even truly answered.
In the past Blizzard has not allowed an already controlled beast, like an NPC's pet, alive or dead to be tamed by a hunter. So there is possibly a game mechanic being set in place to allow this to happen with the hippogryph being her "pet". Which very well could be and item in Suramar since she is in the raid. My whole post was about the possibility that a item changes the whole <Elisande's Pet> tag.

I don't see how your questions were not truly answered or answered snarky. If there is a question that I haven't answered, then please ask it again.
That is true, in most cases they haven't (there are a couple here and there, I believe). At this time, we don't know if this is the case. During the boss fight, there are no adds, let alone a Hippogryph. I'm sure they could've added something, but then you would have to take into account the fact that it is in a current-content raid. I don't think Blizz has ever put a new pet into a raid that you can't solo.

Well, it seems that a certain Feathermane Kitten has been lost for quite a while!

Oh you found it! I spent ages looking for it. If you can post details soon I can get it added before I leave for a few days. (I'll have Petopia access but not the tools required to add new pets).

I actually wasn't looking for it at the time. I was searching for Lalathin, but doing so on the ground. I have searched via the air countless times, so I thought maybe I could be more thorough on the ground. Whilst passing through the area east of Irongrove Retreat, I got attacked by Gloomfang. Whilst I was killing him, I was suddenly attacked by the Very Lost Feathermane Kitten...lol. I killed Gloomfang and almost killed the kitten by accident. Fortunately, I was able to tame him
After ~30 mins, I found him again in the same area. He is constantly in stealth, and vanishes after ~10 yards. Doesn't leave any tracks.

Hm, that explains why we haven't found him before then. Stealthed beasts are such a pain ><
Makes me question what the other ones might need. A certain dropped item, stealthed somewhere, talk to an npc while dead... who knows.
