I just finished The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. Now *that* was a fun read. (Sarcasm. Dripping.)

-A small collection of Lovecraft short stories

So, uh, hopefully that'll last me for the semester.
Haha, gotta love it when you're ambushed with great sales :/ I'm determined not to buy more physical books.. ebooks all the way for me, unless it's something really special.. like ordering Sanderson books signed or something.. I don't have room for any more physical books... <.<

I'm currently re-immersing myself in the fantastical, metaphysical world of Shoujo Kakumei Utena, or Revolutionary Girl Utena. Aside from Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, Utena was one of the most influential stories on me growing up, showing that even though society has preconcieved notions of certain types of people, you CAN rise above it if you stay true to your goal, no matter what might come in the way. The anime series is fabulous, too.

Well, Mine is deep enough to double up some books too (the standard paperbacks)... But, there's other reasons I like my e-reader. The ebooks are cheaper. The ereader itself can hold an estimated thousand books. And you can remove books off of it, and re-add them later, and it has an SD card slot too...

Also.. all the paper/processing that goes into making paper books... Getting a few for my collectables isn't that bad.. but let's say I fill my ereader with all thousand books (I can see it happening.. I read a LOT..). Now.. Imagine all of the trees that would have been killed if I had bought all thousand of those books as hardcopies instead... Even if they were a large percentage recycled, there's still all the processing, the ink, the running of the printing press... Then of course the cost and resources for the shelving to hold the books... heh. I never really thought about it until I bought an e-reader and could ACTUALLY start buying new books almost as fast as I need them (budget holds me back, heh, I can read REALLY fast depending on the book, heh). It might be a little more enviro friendly to make 1 book, or maybe even 10 books, rather than an e-reader.. but eventually, you'll get to a point where you just gotta think about the poor trees!

Just finished reading one of Darren Shan's books. Not really impressed with the movie, heh. :S

Not sure what I'm gonna read next to be honest. Maybe Wuthering Heights.

Wolfheart, by Richard Knaak (yes, I know, awful writer, but its a Warcraft lore book and I can't pass any of those up, no matter how awful the author)

It is actually a mediocre book for a Knaak novel, and really explores a lot of Varian's character and resolves some of the conflict he has with Genn Greymane and Garrosh. Worth a look, but not thrilling so far. If you're really into Alliance lore and like these characters, I'm sure you'll love this book. It is by no means Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects, but it has its okay parts.

Just picked up Richard K Morgan's "Market Forces". The guy at the counter in the store heartily recommended it and I'm a fan of Morgan's Altered Carbon/Broken Angels/Woken Furies trilogy, so I'm looking forward to reading this one over the weekend!

Finished Wolfheart. Won't give away anything, but don't waste $25 on it unless you really HAVE to have every WoW book (like me...) or like Knaak's writing.

Anyway, now...

Waterdeep, part three of the Avatar trilogy by James Lowder (Forgotten Realms book).

Have finally started Guy Gavriel Kay's Under Heaven, a fantasy based on the Tang Dynasty.

Edit: Now I've finished it, and have started The Lions of Al-Rassan, which is based on historical Al-Andalus. This inspired me to name my worgen's Humar "Gavriel".

Just finished Ender's Game. While I have some problems with it, I can understand it getting awards. I've bought the ebook of the sequel, Speaker for the Dead.

Read the Once and Future King. An even mix of Awesome and Boring as All Get-out, that book. On the other hand, it means I don't need to listen at all while we study the Arthurian period.

Ironically, I'm also reading that series and finished Ender's Game a few days ago. I've sort of half-heartedly started Speaker for the Dead.

Ender's Game was enjoyable enough. I couldn't get myself to read much of Speaker for the Dead though. Or Ender's Shadow for that matter.

See, I've heard that you either liked SftD, or you didn't. My dad really enjoys it. My mom can't stand it. Thus far, I'm not too impressed, but I figure I'll give it a bit and have serious reading time before I make too much of an opinion.

We'll have to see how I like SftD, then!

I enjoy reading different interpretations of the Arthurian legend. I just bought a omnibus edition of Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy, so hopefully I'll get around to finishing it now. Loved MZB's Mists of Avalon, and also Godwin's Beloved Exile, which actually has a strong Guenevere! Ironically, I've never read the TH White version.

Right now, I am reading the Hunger Games, book 1 on my kindle. Friend recommended it to me, and I must say, it is a mighty good read so far.
