I'm glad someone liked it. I thought it looked fine when I was working on these in Windows (which seems to have mine colour calibration issues, because things never look quite the same when I check them out on other computers). But when I booted to Mac to check them, I actually thought the colour looked, well, kind of, er, pissy But I was determined to leave it in anyway

Firstly, an apology: I'm sorry there are going to be so many pictures in this post. I couldn't prune them as much as I should have. New ravager skins were easy to generate with simple colour channel swaps. Too easy, in fact. Colour-wise pretty much anything goes with ravagers, so everything I generated was a candidate. I removed anything that had colours that are already used too much on the in-game ones, then I got picky with pixellation. Here's what's left.

I chose the elite ravager skin to model these because it looks a little nicer, but the skins work equally well on both models. I turned off the red eye glow before taking the shots.


Blue is a very rare colour on in-game ravagers, so that was one of the first things I tried. Here's a couple I picked out that I liked:



OK, not exactly blue, but teal with pink spikes isn't too far off, right?



Following on from blues and pinks, a few in the lilac to purple to pink range. I really like the first (lilac pink) one:



Since Veph requested ravagers, and specifically asked for black-and-white, I tried for a few different styles. These aren't just greyscale image skins; I generated them by taking basic coloured ones and mixing in complementary colour channels till they went mostly white. First black-and-white, then white-and-black:



Another attempt at black-and-white resulted in this cool metal grey one, with a couple of blue spots:



I also decided to recolour the back and belly of the white-and-black one, to see if there was any promise. Here's a couple of results. One with a pale icy blue, very subtle. The second with a strong maroon, not so subtle:



A couple of colourful ones that just appeared randomly. Burgundy spikes with a bright yellow body, followed by orange/magenta. I'm kinda fond of the first one:



I also tried to generate a proper red one. I wasn't really that happy with them, but here's an odd red with a dark back and belly that I thought looked interesting, and dangerous:



A couple of very creepy dark ones:



And finally... in the course of making these, all manner of bright and colourful mixes showed up. So here's a few harlequin ravagers of different shades and combinations. The faded colouring on the last one reminds me of the colour palette of an old poster from the 40s or something.



Anyway, I hope there's something amongst all of these you like.

.. i want that maroon and white ravager.... ive always loved maroon, my fox hat is maroon, white and maroon are so gorgeous together, that is a hugely epic ravager

I agree with Xakaal though, surprisingly, the white and the maroon is my favourite, although I fully expected to like black and white most. The very dark ones are gorgeous too. Lovely work, as always!

Oh man, they all so awesome! The black and white ones look fantastic, and that one with maroon tips...wow!

I also love the dark creepy colours, and then the psychedelic ones are fantastic.

So... Warpies.
I love warp stalkers but feel like none of the skins match my hunter well. I'd love to see some green variations (especially a forest green) and perhaps a black and white one? And of course any other gorgeousness you can find.

I want these two so bad. ;.;

Oh man Wain you made it so hard for me to just pick a couple of ravager skins. XD You generated so many awesome skins out of these guys: Those grayscale/monochrome ones, definitely the white and maroon one, the super dark ones, the maroon and yellow one, and even the psychedelic bright ones! I would LOVE to see some of these make it in game. *nudges Noah*

Gah. The ravagers and Jormungars all look so awesome! Cannot choose favorite ones!

Just a quick update of a few of the B/W ones I did above. The plain B/W ones came out much more faded than I expected. The problem is I have to do some of the editing in Windows, which I run on a separate Bootcamp drive on my Mac. Unfortunately I've never gotten my monitor calibration quite right in Windows, for some reason, so I always have to go back to Mac to confirm the images before posting. I should have gone back and edited these but it was late and I was too tired to be bothered

Here they are with the contrast and brightness upped a bit to make them look less like old newspaper prints. The second one could probably still do with a bit more. I like them a lot more, anyway:



And the black/white/icy blue one with both more contrast and stronger colour saturation on the blue, so it's more obvious, but still not glaring:
