I've said this many times before and I'll say it again. Blizz should make ALL the rare pets drop NOTHING! A friend who isn't a hunter but has had to sit and camp with me to watch as my prized pets get kill or stolen from me. He suggested Blizz make it to where if you tag a pet only you and whoever is in your party should be allowed to target it. He suggested this after we had spent a week of little to no sleep camping for Deth and just to keep losing him to that horrible DK. ;>> Blizz really should do something like that, it would save us from having to bitch and QQ to them about this problem. And in the long run, would save us so many headaches and hours of lost time while camping for these pets. =/

As a wise person on these forums once told me, that could lead to really mean hunters kiting them around and laughing at everyone else, including other hunters. It could lead to a whole new form of griefing people. While I do agree that SOMETHING needs to be done, I don't think this is the solution. Make them all unkillable and neutral, like Ghostcrawler. IMO, that would solve all problems, except for the problem of idiots thinking they drop epics and trying to kill them and failing horribly only to have us hunters lol at them.

I don't hear anyone complaining they ever had Ghostcrawler killed while they were taming it, after all.

Ban'thalos was up, a hunter in my channel wanted him REALLY bad, ran over, almost had him, when a fellow horde mage comes up and starts wailing on Ban. Ban dies. It wasn't even a DIGINIFIED DEATH. He didn't even take the mage with him. Asshat iceblocked out of moonfire. /grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Banny once got killed by a rogue. and a DK on the alliance server /lol'd at the hunters surrounding the corpse....even the ones who HAD banny. Made me wanna punch someone...

The hunters in Hyjal general tore that mage a new one if that was any consoling. It didn't bring poor Banny back though, and the mage didn't even apologize or say he thought he dropped stuff. He just said "LOL HUNTER TEARS". Like a MAGE is the one to talk. They've been crying on forums for years. Geez.

In happier news, my mage got the 100 minipets achievement and got his Nuts. Not that he didn't have nuts before.

Another double post...but I just saw Skitterflame get killed! It was accidental (the hunter dropped three traps instead of two, lessening his energy too much) but it still made me sad to see this lovely red spider die.

Deth got killed cause the pally started to kite instead of letting the hunter kite.. the hunter was straight up kiting no pets.. so me and guildies helped with that but the pally and his lock friend kept attacking deth, then at 10% a warrior ran in to attack... and deth died.

Apparently solix got killed on my hunter friend while he was trying to tame it. A dk, and a hunter.. I think I know that hunter to..

then I was trying to tame skitterflame and he got killed on me cause the hunter "thought" he needed to be low health in order to tame it.. I.. dont even know if I can believe it, as I had 2 seconds left off the tame before he pulled agro off me.. (apparently karkin got killed infront of him.. he says hes not like that but... idk) a dwarf hunter was trying first and he had no clue how to tame it. When I asked him he said he didnt read the strats cause he didnt think hed find them. Even so, you should always read the strats just incase and when you do so, know what one goes to which strat.. if in doubt look at the name tag and see this little buff thingy that tells you HOW to tame it ^.^

*sigh*

oh and solix prolly died from loss of energy he'll continue to lose energy for a bit then hell reset

were only ones (hunters/ huntress) who seem to understand, other classes seem to have a stupid stop in there heads

Well I've seen Anthriss die multiple times and whenever he dies you see the tear linked in general chat along with an lol
But my worst experiences would probably be trying to tame Solix. First time I saw him I had a pally from my guild grouoed with me. So I saw the rare through eagle eye while questing with a guildie so I ran to him and my guildie decided to come along to. I told him I have to kite it around to tame it. So I die on my first attempt and he figure he'll try to kite it so once I get back I could tame it. I didn't know he was doing it until I got back (graveyards in Molten Front really need to be fixed) and by then it was to late. He was upset about it and I told him it wasn't his fault. But i was still pretty sad.

I must agree, though. Blizz needs to make them ALL LIKE GHOSTCRAWLER! Neutral and unkillable. It would literally solve all problems surrounding these rares. People wouldn't kill them for "the lulz" and people wouldn't aggro them on accident while questing. It they aoe'd and aggro'd them...yeahh....the rares could go ahead and eat face then. As a person with two lvl 85 mages (I swear I'm not crazy), I know you don't do quests with arcane explosion. Really now. BUT as a person with a DK, I know that its possible to use that cone of cold-like ability they have and accidentally aggro something you didn't mean to. Still, I'd get my face eaten if it meant a hunter got a new pet!

My DK did that on Skitterflame last night. She cast her freezing blast or whatever and Skitter was caught in the crossfire! I was killing an elemental and suddenly wondered why my health was dropping so fast. Then I saw. And knew I was dead. I let Skitter eat me, rezzed, pulled the ele far away, and went back to killing.
