Man, the beta just refuses to give me Havenswood islands, which in turn makes it impossible to find Colossal Spadefoot and Bogbelcher. They're confirmed tameable on the database, and we know WHERE they spawn. It's just that the darn things are being belligerent. I say this not only out of frustration with islands ('ate em), but also because the new TWW pets page is missing a few things we essentially know as tameable. T'zala from King's Rest was confirmed a while ago when Rezan was found, and all the loa toads found on island expeditions are flagged as tameable, but most toads have been left out and T'zala forgotten. Just a fun little hint hint nudge nudge for Wain.
Also, pre-patch is so close.

Sorry, I'm doing more updates later today
I was just working on the TWW page. It's now linked from the Petopia main page. I have a proper patch logo up for it (though not yet set on the Dorn background. Hmmmm), and the unused looks are now hidden inside expandable sections, which reduces the amount of space use considerably.
I still need to (a) add some comments above various models to give context, especially older and more unusual things like Grong, and (b) sort the models so that ones without any tameable looks at all (like the bouquet sheep) are at the very end.

As for the pre-patch, I'll create a different page and logo for that one, and then separate out the models that are going to be tameable in it. That ultimately won't take too long, so I was leaving it till the end.
I guess the pre-patch tames are just the BfA instance and Island Expeditions ones?
There aren't any new families this time (first time ever), so no flood of newly-tameable old creatures. And the tameable looks from Dragonflight are things that are still too high to tame until we get some levels.

Yep, just BfA and Islands. A little on the weak side, but they're still massive new options. I mean, GORILLAS GOT SOMETHING FOR ONCE. That's a fairly huge win, even if we still don't have a way to get the opposite Grong for our faction (live for Alliance, dead for Horde). I'm a little sad that the one thing I wanted from Uldir was overlooked, but Fetid and its silly wrong family type is a huge win regardless. And who knows; maybe on live, I won't keep being denied Havenswood when it's up lol.

I think the database is updated for the latest finds, now.
I haven't added any of the other IE loa toads since we haven't been able to confirm them yet. That includes the yellow one, sadly. Hopefully we'll find it soon.

I’m more excited for this prepatch than the dragonflight one, is because we actually got new models, DF prepatch had none, only the cloud serpent change, but I’m happy I main horde since I prefer the living grong, I’m still waiting for a undead grong to have alongside living grong. I have to point out on the war within model page, the loa toads are considered an old model, but they are actually a new tameable model, they are like dire toads, but extra features. For me Personally fetid devourer family doesn’t matter, since it’s not ferocity and we can tame it. I’m looking forward to taming all these new prepatch looks and to finally skyride the other mounts I farmed and obtained over the years

As always thanks so much to Wain and everyone else who scowered the beta to find new pets and verify the tameablity of old ones. You all rock!!

Oh gosh, I hope those slugs and electric eels are intended, or at the very least get the porcupine/silkworm treatment.

I'm of a mind that the sea slugs and electric eels are definitely intended. I mean, we had eels in Dragonflight for a short time before they were unceremoniously replaced by the infinitely worse model change into BfA eels. There's no real excuse to change them anyway, since we have creatures that can fly without wings. The electric eels are aquatic creatures in every way, but that can easily be hand waved by saying they perform levitation through electromagnetism. It's not like we don't have flying eels already; the mana wyrms and the Nazjatar eels seen with the Naga are flying, with the former being magical and the latter just being big eels with a serious underbite. If anything, the BfA eels are the odd ones out because they're the only eels that DON'T fly.
For the slugs, it's something that's been a long time coming; we can tame snails, which are just slugs with portable houses, so slugs not being tameable never made sense. Granted, the snail selection is lacking in far too many ways, considering we've had numerous colorful snails through many expansions since at least MoP. Slugs only started showing up in Dragonflight, but that shouldn't matter. If we can tame zombies, mutant amalgamations of desecrated and violated gods, dragons, and literal figments of one's imagination, a big slug (and all the old snails) are very much within reason. Slugs being in worms makes perfect sense as well, since gardeners and farmers have reported slugs digging into their crops and plants. I said it before, and I'll say it again; we need to kidnap a dev and make them flip the switches! Or just leave salt packets around until they cave and make the other slugs (and snails) tameable.

I've been running IE a lot, and get Havenswood maybe once in 3-4 tries, but I've only once seen toads, and the only loa toad was that green non-rare that we already know about. Still trying.

The pre-patch tames page:
https://www.wow-petopia.com/twwpre.php
I still need to add a custom logo.
Anything missing from it, though?

I'm kinda wondering if the Loa Frogs are tied to specific invasions. Or maybe even only available halfway through when other invasions occur.
EDIT: Found one of the blood serpents, not tameable.

Some small notes;
- Grong the Revenant is listed as the second boss of Dazar'alor, but it's actually the third.
- Rezan's description has a typo. "Renamimanted". Saw a tweet that pointed it out.
- While we know them to be tameable due to the database, I feel like the loa toads Whiptongue, Colossal Spadefoot, Man-Eater, Bogbelcher, and Yaz'za the Devourer should still be listed as upcoming with a "bounty" note like "Please let us know if you find this and verify its taming status!" or something.
Otherwise, looking good. The number of tames may be small, but there are some substantial ones.

The toads are static spawns the moment the island is generated. They are unrelated to the random invasions, as those are "factions" that attack. The toads are like the many oxen, wind serpents, and other animals in that regard. You'll find them from the start if (a) you spawn near their spawn points, or (b) you tag them with a /tar macro on the boat. When I found Thundercroak on the beta, it was right next to the boat as I spawned on the dock next to it.

Fixed the typos, thanks!
The loa toads we haven't found are now set to Uncertain, which means they appear as possible but untested tames on their looks page.

Neat. Now let's just hope nobody croaks while we wait for the absurd maintenance time. Imma cry if we don't see any of the valid islands this week, because I'm impatient and want a loa toad asap.

Same, I want Ripshread and toxinbelly croaker soon enough. Grong and Fetid will be EZ lfr tames. I’m also happy I’ll skyride 31 mounts instead of 11-12 mounts, so flying to the tame locations will be more interesting

Servers FINALLY came up, late into the night (around 8:30 PDT, 11:30 EST). Fetid Devourer is NOT a beast on live, at least on mythic. I don't remember how lockouts work in BfA, but I'm gonna try other difficulties.
EDIT: Yeah no, nothing was flagged tameable. No Grong (undead), no Fetid, likely none of the IE stuff or T'zala either. Time to go to sleep and hope they finish updating the patch to actually have everything pre-patchy that should've been here :')

I’ll also try taming everything when they are fixed, I wasted 5 minutes trying to tame fetid and grong before reading your text

Yeah, it was pretty disappointing. I just went to all the islands, and the rotation can have quite a few of the possible tames, but alas, they were not tameable. Ran into two of the wolves (forgot their names, half awake), and the disappointment only grew.
Islands for NA: Skittering Hollow, The Dread Chain, Molten Cay.

Oh fuck, that's a mess. It seems the tames didn't make it into today's release patch.
I'll take down my guide for now and try to find out what's going on.
