Regardless of what exactly happened, I'm certain it wasn't your fault. I hope you're not too down about losing your pet. :(

I am kinda, it's like there's a fish hook lodged in my heart. It hurts, but it's scabbed over at least until someone pulls on the string. T^T I pulled my own string today, talking about him. My mom keeps blaming me openly though. She said he must have eaten a clump of grass in my yard from when I cut it.

BUT, what also grinds my gears is when you're chewing gum and BITE THE SIDE OF YOUR CHEEK. Then you cheek swells and bleeds you can't chew your gum anymore cause you'll keep biting it! But it's a fresh piece of gum, and your favorite flavor and you hate to waste it AAAAAAAAUUUUUGHH----!

Headache's that won't go away for three days straight. Mind you, it's not a migraine so I can work through it without a problem, but it's annoying.

Oh, and getting weepy.

I nope, the old drivers are not supported for Windows 7...it just means that the maintenance for them is over. They are way over five year old even, scanner might be even ten years they just are not supported for the new system.

We had the same problem when we upgraded. We ended up buying a new scanner because we weren't about to give up the benefits of Windows 7. But it was an unexpected expense and really didn't make us happy.

It happens at some point. The maintenance for Windows XP is (roughly) around for about two or three years still then they stop giving upgrades to it, after that you almost have to change to Vista or something.
I think the Windows 2k upgrades stop next year. I didn't mind it myself I know it's bound to happen at some point...I mean our second computer lived for about over 7 years! First computer was broken....

Ah, that way. I have a twelve year old printer, works just fine with the driverset that comes with Ubuntu. :D Things are simpler with Linux, I s'pose.

I like derailing. This thread has been on topic for too long.

Why don't you just learn German? Iss nein zu hard! Yeah, I'm better at German than to think that's legible.

Hmm? I would've thought you knew how to operate Linux. It's simpler than you think once you grasp the basics. Plus, my shellscripts aren't usable in any other operating system. :D

I do. All our outward facing servers are Linux. Doesn't mean I like it or find it simpler than a Windows box.

It's largely in what you are used to anyway. I've been developing on Windows for .. err .. twelve years now.

Oh here we go...next we will see our Mac users start to rile up. I doens't matter what operating system you have. I haven't tried Linux (saw a classmate using Ubuntu, looked nice) myself...Mac just a little.
Just use what you feel comfortable with.
