I *THINK* I've finally come up with a team for Pokemon White:

Zekrom as my Lightning type
Samurott as my Water type
Emboar as one of my Fire types, and my Fighting type
Serperior as my Grass type
Victini as another of my Fires, as well as my Psychic
Braviary as my Flying type.

As far as my Black, I'm not sure, but it'll likely include Chandelure, The Pseudo-Legendary, Sawsbuck, Samurott or Swanna or Frillish(I may prevent it from evolving...), Gigalith, and either Ferrothorn or Scolipede or Unfezant.

Edit: Also, does Sawsbuck change with the seasons, or does he stay the same, based on when I caught him?

2nd Edit: Where in Black/White must I get to in order to trade pokemon, and do I need a Wi-Fi connection similar to the one I needed for my Mystery Gift?

Picked up my copy of Black over the weekend and I'm having a lot of fun so far. Just in the level 30 range currently with 4 gym badges.

I went with Tepig as my starter pet, and named him Ryoga as I knew I would. Though I'm admittedly not as fond of his evolutions as his original form, he's still a really badass starter pet and I love the duality of fire/fighting.

I'm not entirely certain what my final team of 6 will consist of, but currently I'm probably sticking with my plan of:

Emboar (fire/fighting)
Zebstrika (electric)
Gigalith (rock)
Leavanny (grass)
Krookodile (ground/dark)
Carracosta (water/rock)

It's not the best balance, but I really like all of them and it's working well for me so far. Obviously they're not all at their final forms at this point in time, but they're working great.
The others that I still want or may swap with are:

Chandelure (ghost/fire)
Hydreigon (dark/dragon)
Mienshao (fighting)

Sawsbuck and its pre-evo change with the seasons, even after you've caught them.

You need the wi-fi to trade with people far far away. And to trade you just go to the top floor of the pokemon center. To send pokemon over from your d/p/pt versions, you need to beat the game. The transfer lab on route 15 is the 1-way transfer from previouse gen games to B&W.

Had a total brain fail moment.. lol.

I was planning out a team of my "current" favourites. I had Umbreon, Espeon, Vaporeon, and Ninetales typed out on the list. Then I started thinking about how I needed some tanks to make up for the overall-flimsy-sweepyness of my current setup, umbreon being a good one, but weak against the hard-hitting bug/fighting types. So i'm sitting there, thinking of favourites which are bulky enough to use as switch-in counters.. and my Frost DK springs to mind, because: "he's my favourite, wears plate and obliterate hits like a truck.. Yeah... yeah, I can slip him.. no wait, I can't use him..." xD

(I watched the episode "Just waiting on a friend" and now I like ninetales quite a bit.. I'm such an empathy-whore.) >.>;

Pokemon white update:

Just beat the 2nd gym, and did th pinwheel forest stuff, now I am fresh into the big city.
My team so far:
Dewott lv 27 (tsunami)
Pignite lv 27 (Pchan)
Tranquial lv 25 (Cityo)
Blitzle lv 25 (Slephner)
Watchog lv 25 (Scoutz)
SHINY Boldore lv 28 (Harcu) (I finally have my blue stoned rock XD )

I've been playing White pretty leisurely over the past couple of days. I've just passed the 5th gym and my team is around level 30 (Although I'm planning on doing a little level grinding soon) And really, I've been having a lot amount of fun just exploring this new world and taking as much of it in as possible.
If there's one problem I'm having with this game though, it's that there's way too many pokemon I like and want on my team. It's been hard trying to find that sweet spot between pokemon I like with pokemon that balance. I think I've got it right for the moment... although I'll soon be mixing it up again I suspect.

Anyway, my current team is;
Ezala the Servine, level 35
Thex the Scolopede, level 32 (Squshy centipede! *hugs*)
Kharash the Zoroark, level 31
Logger the Tirtouga, level 31 (Yeah, actual Loggerheads are brownish, but hush, I love the name)
Victini, level 31 (I'm often hesitant to rename legendaries. And hell, I like the name Victini)
Lyre the Tranquill, level 26 (Was stuck in my PC for a bit, need to level her up!)

Also worth noting are: Ernie the Throh, Umber the Excadrill and Atem the Yamask, currently waiting patiently in my PC box.

Update time!

After much training, my team hit lvl 40. Gorebite, my Krokorok, evolved into the fearsome Krookodile upon reaching lvl 40.
With her evolved, Specter, my Pansage, was my only unevolved pokemon.

I took my freshly lvled team to the Driftveil Gym. This gym was Specter's time in the sun. He murder every single pokemon in that gym except Clay's Excadrill. I took that out with my own Excadrill, Dagger.

With that done and a new badge in my possession, I went to route 6. Nuttin special...caught a few new pokemon (Karrablast, Foongus, Deerling). My trip took me into Chargestone Cave.

I caught all pokemon in the cave (Klink, Joltik, Boldore, Ferroseed, Tynamo) except the Drillburs which I had already (tho mine's evolved XD)

During my battles, Specter learned Crunch...which was the reason I held off on evolving him for so long (Pansage learns Crunch at lvl 43). With Crunch in his movelist, I happily used my Leaf Stone on Specter, evolving him into a Simisage! Now my entire team is fully evolved!

In Mistralton, I found the Move Relearner and got her to teach my Emboar Hammer Arm and my Scolipede Megahorn.

Getting rdy to go to Celestial Tower now.

Team so far:

Grunter: lvl 40 male Emboar: Flame Charge, Hammer Arm, Smog, Rollout

Specter: lvl 45 male Simisage: Acrobatics, Seed Bomb, Crunch, Return

Dagger: lvl 40 female Excadrill: Rock Slide, Metal Claw, Earthquake, Slash

Raleigh: lvl 40 male Seismitoad: Mud Shot, Acid, Uproar, Muddy Water

Fankriss: lvl 40 female Scolipede: Poison Tail, Venoshock, Return, Megahorn

Gorebite: lvl 40 female Krookodile: Sand-Attack, Embargo, Dig, Crunch

In some ways I think I can relate. I almost died myself. I would have died if not for my cat Angel (rip my friend) Who kept patting me and meowing and nipping me to keep getting up to feed or play with him, who never left me alone, and never gave up on me. Its not something in my life I like to remember.

Back to pokemon stuff

Tsunami is lv 30, Water pulse, Razor shell, tackel, revenge
Cityo is lv 31, Gust, quick attack, Air cutter, roost
Slephner (zebstriker now) is lv 32, stomp, spark, thunder wave, flame charge
Scoutz is lv 30, Super Fang, cut, Crunch, Confuse Ray
Pchan is lv 31, Arm thrust, Tackle, Heat Crash, Flame charge
Harcu is lv 29, Smack down, power gem, headbutt, Rock Blast

I really love my Harcu, he's just such an awsome looking pokemon, and can take hits like a champ. he'll be even mre awsome when I get him evolved to his final form. I think I need to trade him to evolve him, just cant remember if he stops learning moves, I'll have to look it up.

Really bugs me about the walkthrough for B&W is that unlike EVERY other walkthrough for the previouse generations, this one does NOT have a pokedex in the back...which is why I usually get the walkthrough, so I dont have to look up on the computer when my pokemon learn thier lv up moves. sucks...

Let me clarify. I plan on trading over the B/W starters from Black, to White, for my Team on White. Where in the game must I get to to be able to perform such a task? Like, can i do it once I get to the first Pokecenter? Or, even just after the 1st gym, so I can get all the monkeys on white as well? And, if I happen to have two DS's, (my Sister's DSi, and my Original DS), will I be able to perform these with out local Wi-Fi, or will I need unlocked Wi-Fi?

ok, from B<->W versions, you can do that in the first pokemon center after you beat the first gym. so not only can you trade the starters over, but also the elemental monkeys Very handy. And if you have 2 DS's then it just uses the systems localized built in wireless adapters.

Okay, so... UPDAAAAATE XD

After a little thinking.. I decided to replace my poor little Emonga D: As much as I loved her.. I hated seeing her get owned by just about everything. Soo.. Yeah. I ended up getting an Altaria instead. And amg she is amazing. She has no name yet.. But agh I love her <3


ANYWHO. NEWS. BIG NEWS. .... I BEAT THE CHAMPION XD It was surprisingly easy... Though not as easy as the Elite Four. ... Well, kinda. Most of the Elite Four were annoying to beat, but the Fighting type guy? Well.. His Breloom got one-shotted by Maya's Flamethrower, and.. Then.. Altaria, after spamming Cotten Guard and Dragon Dance, one-shotted EVERYTHING ELSE. OMG. XD

As for the Champion..? Well, Altaria, after once again spamming Dragon Dance took out Accelgor, Vanilluxe AND Druddigon. And Terrakion took out Bouffalant. ... Then ALMOST killed Escavalier. ... And got mauled by Iron Head. The stupid bug went down to Maya though. .. Though not before I went "NUUU TERRAKION!! *Flails*" and revived Terrakion XD Aaaand speaking of who.. Terrakion then proceeded to one-shot Volcarona. ... Yep XD

Wee, just caught Cobalion and Verizion. ^.^
