Augh, hope I'm not needed for anything too exciting. Out for most of the day with friends.

In other news, just rewatched How to Train Your Dragon. Love that movie. xD

I'm out too, for a couple hours. Going to a weird store, pretty far away.

I would like to know what makes this store weird?

It has hundreds of piñatas hanging from the ceiling, for starters. xD It's just got an odd atmosphere. But no, it's not an adult store or anything like that, I don't believe I'm old enough to even go to those places. It mostly cells produce and candy.

piñatas, produce and Candy....very interesting. I like stores like that though XD I usually come home with a crapton of food that's not good for me.

Yeeeaaahh... We did that too. >.> In our defense, we got some vegetables, too, but mostly it was candy and lots of pasta.

How to Train Your Dragon was an awesome movie. But then again, I'm into goofy animated films like that. WTB my own Toothless.

So WoW Insider released this whole thing about RPing a Draenei (They also have some other interesting articles on other races as well). Maybe Myri is older than I first assumed. But seriously, this makes some really good reading.

It is a very interesting read, kudos to the author for trying to puzzle out Draenei lore. It certainly gives me a headache.
But I still strongly disagree with the whole "Long lifespan = Long time until maturity" thing. I've mentioned it before, but the time it takes to reach maturity is reliant upon the complexity of that lifeform. With the Naga example, sure, I could see them taking a while to grow, but that's because naga are have such weird and complex physiology, brought about by old god hoodoo.
I still say 40-50 years for draenei, 100 years being my very upper limit on what I'll believe. I dunno, maybe it's just the idea of someone being a young child for longer than I will live. Yes, in the terms of the immortal, 500 years isn't that long. But just because they experience a different lifespan, doesn't mean the longer-living races perceive time differently as well. Just have a different outlook on the whole concept of time and waiting.

Regardless, it's all speculation until we get official word. Believe what you want I say. :) Thanks for sharing.

Agreeing with Moon on the maturing thing. It varies from species to species - tauren are usually considered "adult" in their late thirties - but for the longer living races, like elves and draenei, I'd say about 50 as well.
Trolls are interesting, though, with their crazy metabolism. Very short, intense lives compared to other races.

Aye, I agree with you Moon. They might live way long, but I definitely don't intend for any of my characters to think of time differently. To each his own, I say.

Last I checked it was around 100 for nelves and belves, and I always kind of imagine draenei as mature at about 150-200. Elves are pretty much the best comparison, is my reasoning.

It's definitely all speculation, but I had Myri pegged around 75-100. Could be wrong but it seems to work for me XD I still found it to be a very interesting read though.

Feeling a little light-headed and flu-ish. Heading to lay down for a bit. Hopefully will be back after a few hours or so.
