I got the BC collectors edition from eBay during Wrath. It was... either a Christmas gift or a birthday gift. Back they you couldn't upgrade your BC to a CE BC if you had already downloaded Wrath, so it was a super long time before I finally contacted a GM and... either the GM fixed it or Blizzard soon after added the ability to upgrade expansions separately.

Got three words for you:

'Account. Wide. Mounts.'

HOT DAMN. Although I STILL don't know what means 'Account-wide' and no one's answered me when I ask.

I have two 'screen names' under one bnet account. So I don't know if that means:
Everyone, everywhere has the same 'mount pool'.
Everyone on each screen name has a separate mount pool.
Everyone on both screen names on one server shares a mount pool.
Only the characters per screen name AND server share a mount pool.

Obviously I'd like it to be #1 because there's mounts on servers I don't play on much anymore that I'd like to have access to, but I really have no idea how this is going to work.

Tho I think it will be only for toons on the same server.

'only on that server' isn't 'account wide' though. Bleh, I don't know. I wish they'd come out and say exactly what they mean.

But other BOA items you can't send to other servers I don't think. But really no one knows till blizz says so.

Send, no. But they can already connect servers since if you buy a store mount or pet, it's on more than one server. (But only one account name).

BoA items are 'all accounts, one server'.

Yeah there shouldn't. Right now though, there's historically three things meant by 'Account Wide'.

1) One license, one server. This is how heirlooms were originally.

2) One license, all servers. This is how store pets and mounts function.

3) All licenses, one server. This is the model for mailing heirlooms back and forth.

Personally, I think 'account wide' should bloody well mean account wide, and mean all licenses on all servers. I suppose mostly because I have two licenses and feel like SOME consideration should be given to those of us who play the game so much we needed two accounts to hold everything.

They've addressed the BoA heirloom thing in the past and said from memory that they'd like to make it truly account-wide at some stage. The problem is there's no mechanism for mailing stuff to your toons on other servers. In the case of mounts this isn't an issue so I'm expecting it's going to be all-accounts, all-servers.

MMO-Champ has info on the Angler factions and one of their rewards in the Water Strider Mount:



Its tool tip says it can walk on water which will probably be helpful if you use rivers instead of the roads to avoid enemies.

I love the blue, dislike the reddish muddy color. Here's hoping there is a blue/green one we can grab. (That doesn't have the ever present red/pink/magenta eyes/highlights)

So. Umm... they better give us Siberian tiger mounts.

Im dying to know more about the possible 3person yak mount...
