Ooooh. I see.
WAIT. So if someone ELSE killed your pet :U They'd get stats?
As far as I know, they had taken stats away from pets and they only get a percent of your main stats now, yes? I think this is what happened, I didn't play in Cata so I'm not 100% sure.
No, no, no. The mobs get a buff called Seek and Destroy that gives the person killing it a stat boost. This person must 1) be in Dread Wastes and 2) also have a buff called Seek and Destroy with an entirely different spell ID.
This won't work ANYWHERE else, and the stat boost doesn't ever, ever affect the pet/mob. The pet itself is perfectly harmless, with no extra stats. It never had extra stats, and it won't get any extra stats if it kills something itself.
Seek and Destroy
A target of high priority. Grants exceptional strength, agility and stamina upon being slain. Must be under the effects of Seek and Destroy in order to gain this buff
<Applied by Scorpid>
The above DOES indicate that the scorpid DOES get a strength, agility and stamina buff upon slaying a mob while under the effect of Seek and Destroy. Which would also mean it would probably maintain the buff for a certain amount of time and could be considered an exploit buff since it does increase stats. I would be VERY cautious about that.
You're reading it wrong. This is similar to the beast hunting buff given in the Jade Forest. YOU, the hunter, would get a buff from killing this mob in the wild. The MOB or PET does not get anything stat bonuses from being 'sought to be destroyed'. But since it's basically impossible to kill your own pet (as in shooting your own pet), you the hunter does not gain anything from it. Plus, this only is applicable in the Dread Wastes, I believe.
Since the Klaxxi augmentation is only available as a buff in Dread Wastes, I imagine so... but the person I tamed this for didn't have it out in another zone so I can't tell you for sure.
Upon further investigation of the Infested Bear mob in Hillsbrad this is what I noticed. The debuff they have, [Feeding the Brood], does not appear to do any damage to the mob at all. They just sit at about 1/3 health. There are corpses that spawn in the same area as the mobs that have the graphical skulls effect on them. However when you kill them they do not keep the skull effect. I'm unsure that it would be permanent at all.
Hey, if anyone is willing to help me with Kung Din or the Sha Scorpions today, I would love you forever. I'll literally be on all day today, so if you have time to help me, I'd be willing to help you get one too.
My battletag is Eckels#1793
Bears have been mentioned earlier in the thread or in the other thread -- the eggs are separate and do not stay with the tame. This was practiced back when the abandon macro worked.
Weren't there some white bears that had glowing blue claws in ZD or something? I seem to remember there being a big fuss about them last time there was a tame glitch.
Bowno, if they ARE inside Zul drak, then that means no dueling and hence could not do this trick.
Qinni, I posted about those bears because I wanted them to keep their spitting skulls [Like being poisoned] effect. They are called "Infested Bears", and no you cannot keep their eggs or the effect.

Oh darn :c Those were cool bears too. Hmmm~ Thanks for the info though!
You mean the ones with a blue glow on the paws? The, I think they were called iceclaw bears or something, are in the zone, not the instance. You could do duels.

Icepaw Bears are the white bears with blue feet, they are in Zul'Drak, a zone not an instance, and The Storm Peaks. Not sure what you guys are talking about not being able to duel.
