Bah, tried all sorts of things, but can't find a saddle texture yet.

The real question is where all the crab mounts at I gotta get crabs!.....oh dear. Mounts I mean! Uh ugh never mind >.<

Maybe from Molten Core though? Or the ones in Mount Hyjal? But if I was to take a real guess then I'd say from Heroic UBRS since I think I remember seeing something about the son of The Beast in there or something.

That was my thought, too. According to Wowhead, Son of the Beast still uses the old corehound model, but I'd be surprised if that didn't change. It would make sense for him to drop it, or at least from a related NPC in the same dungeon.

Didn't see it posted anywhere but the Iron Horde style Elekk, Wolf, and Clefthoof (as well as a rylak) are part of the Beastlord Darmac raid encounter. Of course...he could always drop at least one of em XD

Alterntatively, seems a possible candidate for the dungeon meta achievement reward.

completely forgot about the dungeon meta.
or perhaps the sun hawk is a meta dungeon achieve.

personally I still hope it will be a drop from ubrs in Mop we seriously lacked dungeon drop mounts >_>

Don't know about you guys, but I see a certain mount called the Draenor Chimera. I don't know what it looks like, but I certainly believe my hunter happens to need such a mount. The iron skyreaver, while cool, looks a bit too horde like for me. My hunter is the calmer side of the horde. Obviously a good bit of savagery on the side

I'm going to read 'Take a Guess' as Blizzard being kind of sarcastic like 'come on people what do you THINK will drop the CORE HOUND MOUNT durrrr'. So the Son of Beast is the best candidate.

Raid or dungeon meta mounts are always flyers, so unless the corehound magically sprouts flaming wings (which I admit would be pretty badass), it's a lot more likely to be a dungeon drop.
