Warning for anyone wanting the Armoured Red Raptora. They will grab you, fly up and then drop you. I was dazed so couldn't glider or disengage.

I tamed the red armored raptora already, the only way to tame it is to use turtle then tame

Snagged Vexis and Tahkwitz today. I highly recommend switching to Venthyr and using the door of shadows strategy to get up to it and tame it before people start getting flight.
I'll probably work on Orixal and Sorranos later. (Those are the only other 2 that retain their name I think? I was sad when I tamed the beetle and she didn't)
EDIT: Got Orixal. Sorranos I've never seen, dunno if she's spawning today.

It really irks me that the lizard gecko things aren't tamable. Like why? =/

Blizz didn’t think about it, we have gromits so those at some point should also be added to toads

It might be that Blizz doesn’t actually want them to be tamable. The rare axolotl was originally in a family, and then was changed so that it had no family at all. Some of the axolotl critters, which originally were lvl 60, were lowered down to lvl 1.

That’s possible, but one question, how about a tome to tame the non sentient devourers, since we are in zereth mortis, might as well know how to tame them, same with soul eaters, mawsworn hunters can tame them so should we

But it just doesn't make sense. We have lizards and frogs already, why are these different? They even have the awesome new warp stalker animations. I can tame a dinosaur or a lightning dragon but this gecko that I can have as a battle pet, nah, that's too much lol. the rules behind hunter pet logic are really just baffling to me. I can tame a new progenitor snake without the hood, but if you want the hooded cobra variant, no sir! Doesn't matter that you can tame hooded cobras in Vol'dun. Am I making sense or am I just annoyed and rambling? lol

Im also annoyed, but I have fun with whatever I have, I started thinking of changing up my pets, maybe have a red armored lupine instead of Vexis and tame the armored black raptora

There is also the matter that, in reality, new pets are a rather low priority compared to many other things. There isn’t a reason why we can’t tame a hooded viperid, but it still takes time to make sure that something should be tameable, that making it tameable won’t cause a problem, to flag it as tameable, and then even more work to go in and add unused appearances. If it came to doing this or getting work done on something that affects all classes, generally the latter will be chosen.

I'm a little disappointed at how small all the animals are. The raptora feel like I'm walking around with a chicken.

Yeah, I wish Raptora flew instead of Roadrunnering around lol. Also, I know that the pet pass isn't a top priority, I just want consistency in decisions I guess? Lol

The weird thing is they change from running to flying randomly during combat. It's kinda unnerving. Lol.
Also, I don't think Sorranos is up this week/mid week. I'm assuming they put the rares on a rotation that changes either daily, bi-weekly with the bi-weekly quest reset, or weekly with the weekly reset.

I would like them to walk, when walking. Or Fly when running.
Combat, eh I don't care either way. Something I did think is there Idle flying looks. Weird.
But for something that's on the ground fighting along side you. It looks more like a mini pet than a hunter pet. Especially for an orc like myself.
I miss the days when pets had different sizes. I'd love for some glyphs on call pet slots that let you choose size.

The raptora could be bigger, i actually like the way they stride, but at the same time it’s unrealistically weird, it has the same procedure as the old hippogryphs which received running animations, i think flying pets should have a system to train them to fly up to attack targets, that solves everything

Sorranos seems to be spawning today, at least on EU

Does anyone know if "Maw-Frenzied Lupine" keeps the name when tamed? It's out of curiosity, it will take a while to take my hunter to the new area.

I've finally added the matching mounts and companions/minipets sections to our 9.2 guide. See:
https://www.wow-petopia.com/patch92.php ... gmountsnew
https://www.wow-petopia.com/patch92.php ... panionsnew
I originally intended to have these ready by patch launch, but real life circumstances got in the way.

I've also added a matching companion/minipet section to the Warcraft Mounts 9.2 guide:
https://www.warcraftmounts.com/patch92s ... panionsnew
I don't add a hunter pet section to our mounts guides, just the other way around.
