You wouldn't know how glad I am with the resurrection of PetEmote. It finally made me -love- RPing on my hunter. First it was a content ''meh''. Now it's a ''FUCK YEAH''. One thing though, with the random emotes. When it seeks a target, it says ''at &t'' except for '''%t'' which makes it so that Horakk does something like;

''Horrakk leaps maniacally around &t'' which looks abit silly. Now I opened the editor but could not find the core-emotes and therefore was unable to adjust them. Now I dunno if it's because I didn't read all about it, or if I'm just blind or an idiot..

Well, I just removed the addon and re-installed it from Jorna's website. All the new emotes now show up under the core emotes in the Editor for me. I didn't download my own emote files from the thread, and they are still there. :D

And, um...I looked at the gorillas...ok, I do see now under the combat tab the "yell" and "snarl" emotes. However...there's nothing there about candles or being doomed.... :?
open up the yell... the doomed is in there as well as the candle. It could be that Jorna corrected this. I was still looking at the custom emotes when I opened up the editor.

I've noticed Wind Serpents dont have a lot of emotes. They need some!
Happy:
"...curls around his/her mistress/master and gives her a gentle squeeze." (Basically a hug!)
"...flicks his/her tongue near his/her mistresses/masters ear, tickling them! Hee hee!" (It does tickle. Had a snake do that constantly, making me squeal.)
"...lays himself/herself along his/her mistresses/masters shoulders protectively."
"...curls around his/her mistress/master to keep warm." (reptiles....they like our body heat. XD)
"...flicks his/her tongue in the direction of <target> curiously."
"...snatches a critter in his/her mouth with lightning speed and brings it back as a gift to his/her mistress/master."

Content:
"...snatches a critter in his/her mouth with lightning speed and swallows it whole."
"...pokes his/her mistresses/masters pack with his/her snout hungrily."
"...snatches a critter with his/her body with lightning speed, constricting it, and swallows it whole."

Combat:
"...hisses at the enemy, warning them to stay back!"
"...moves infront of his/her mistress/master and hisses protectively!"
"...'s wing feathers puff up to look bigger than <target> and hisses!"

Would also like to see input from others!

EDIT: I noticed a typo with the current Wind Serpent emotes.

"Malcho crackles with eletricity."

should be "Malcho crackles with electricity."

For some reason, I now picture wind serpents hissing softly in their master's ear....sorta Sir Hiss-like.

Taluwen, very nice! They definitely need more and those are great. :D And, typo noted. :)
However, since I did have I think two of the wrapping around their owner sort, I might do something a little different with some of those, if that's ok. :)
I dont mind but so far, i've never seen it come up. The only ones I've seen some up is 'darts around curious' and 'swishes tail from side to side'. I've yet to see any others.

Do we need that custom emotes thing now that its part of the core?

There were combat emotes for Gorillas, which sounded like a copy of Imp emotes – that's true. Though I don't know how they got there. Anyway, they were removed with 1.6.5. :)

@Foru21dr: You can't see the emotes, because you can't edit the default emotes with the editor. However, you can create a new configuration and import any emotes from the default families.

Ok, this is what I had written for windserpents. Is this what others are seeing? Jorna, did they make the trip? ;)

Also, to use the Editor to make your own custom emotes:

Provided you have downloaded the necessary microsoft program, open the Editor.
You will see the option to "Add Configuration" Click that. Select the family you want to work on from the menu. The family name will then appear in the area on the left where it says "hunter" at the top and a box saying "new emote" will appear in the editing frame. Remove that, unless you are going to write something in there right away. To remove it, highlight it and click icon with the talk bubble and the red X. Then, click "import" and select the same family again. You will now see all the emotes for that family in the editing window. This will allow you to work on the core emotes. If you need more detail after that, let me know. :) Remember gender agreement and continuation! Important things!

Um, this is a bit small, but I'm noticing some typos with cat emotes, at least. ^.^'

I've seen this so far: purssh, staresh, nudgesh, mistress'sh.

Seems to be a small pattern with the sh's. xD

Oh, and another quirk, (since it's brewfest) Wisp's currently drunk, but some of her cat's (Echovine) emotes ends with the drunk player emote ending: ...hic!

Maybe you're just drunk? :P It IS brewfest, after all...

Yeah, just realized that, and edited my last post.

It just struck me as odd though. ^.^'

..or maybe not. Wisp could be so drunk that her pet is getting affected by being nearby. xD Poor Echovine (my tiger, current pet out).

Yes, the pet gets drunk with the owner, since the emotes actually come from the owner.

I've never noticed that emotes are affected by drunkenness. That's messed up since emotes are narrative and not dialog...
