Mana Ray uncertainties

Already reported:
Venomtail Skyfin (formerly named Voracious Umbralfin)
- need to check level, tameability and colour now. Was magenta but Wowhead now shows as blue-orange (checked)

Colours that seem to be unused
- Black and white

I'll check out the Shadow Stalkers when I get home.

The Venomtail uses the blue-orange variant. Is untamable. Lvl 112 rare elite.

I believe the Dazed Mana Ray is found at the Shadowguard Incursion. He cannot be aggrod in anyway, since it is in a stasis bubble. Unsure whether there is a WQ that can free it. Can't do anything with them during the main questline

The Skyfins, I believe, are both living and dead versions that can be found in Mac'Aree. There are the ones flying overhead, which you can attack and tame. Then there are the ones that are already dead and untargetable. Can only tell what they are via Tracking.

I don't recall ever seeing the grey with fel belly variant, nor any of the others listed.

No worries! I can take a look at it when I get home. You should be able to unlock Mac'Aree just by doing all of the quests on Krokuun, unless Blizz changed something.

FInally got Mac'aree. Some of the quests in Krokuun just weren't showing up for me for some reason :/

That is odd. Hopefully that bug won't be in Live :/

Silentfoot Panthara are like the Dazed Manarays.. they're inside the same bubbles. I won't bother including them unless someone finds a way of opening the bubble, i.e. I'll treat them the same way I do corpses.

It's highly unlikely they can be unfrozen, since they can't even be interacted with. But even if they were unfrozen they're friendly.

As an aside is if just me or are your pets occasionally turning textureless during combat? Like stark white or brown. I've noticed a few things in Mac'aree (like Darklost Krokul) that are pure white to me too.

The Panthara Shadowfangs are flagged tameable but of course I can't test if the ones that look dark blue stay that colour when tamed. I suspect not as they also revert to purple-yellow when dead. But that's ok because what's most important is that they're a tameable source of purple-yellow

Glad you found the Silentfoots! Yeah, I don't think we cam get them out. They're just there for scenery.

That's great!! They must've flagged them as tamable in the most recent build, since they were flagged untamable prior. If they are anything like the ones by the Conservatory, then they will just revert back. But yeah, glad the purple-yellow variant was made tamable

Those seem to be all "Skyfin Mana Ray"s, not "Skyfin"s. Unless the latter appear in a later phase, I couldn't see any of them. I guess they could appear in a dungeon.

Ah, right. Then they probably are in the dungeon. There are mana rays in there.

Hmm, it's also possible that the violet panthara with pink lights isn't available. The only beast with that appearance seems to be the Manafeeder, but that appearance is only due to an Engorged buff, so it's likely it'll be lost (and revert to dark blue) with taming

Its so frustrating we can't test this stuff until we crack the taming thing.

Ikr? I wish that they were either just tamable from the get go, or that the means to taming them were implemented in the ptr. It just makes it harder for us to catalogue it all otherwise :/

It looks like two colours of panthara and four colours of mana ray are unvailable on a tameable beast.

All colours of marsuul are available.

All colours of talbuk are available with at least one horn shape, except for the "dark purple" one (more like a dark magenta or slightly drab purple), which doesn't seem to be used. 5 of the colours are available with both horn options.

The void warpstalker isn't tameable, but it's intended to be an aberration.

I agree! I was looking forward to that one being in. Ah well, I've reported the missing colours to Jeremy. They aren't necesarily missing by design but rather by accident, so they may make it in as rares or other colours, yet.
