Yes, it's still currently huge in beta. Also for me (http://cata.wowhead.com/npc=8205) Haarka still has the current beta model for 3D view and "Same model as" listings. You were probably on the "live" WoWhead?
Interesting fact: Even though one of my hunters is not a beast master in beta (due to being level 60 and I obviously now need more talent points!) I can still drag out the new & improved Haarka and Soriid from the stables - however my Tan Silithid Ravager won't as he's 'exotic'!

Strange as they are all classed as Silithids. Does this suggest that each individual beast is marked as exotic or not as opposed to the family?

I doubt it means Blizzard will allow certain "exotic" beasts to be used by marksman/survival hunters - but at the moment, that is the situation (if you have these beasts tamed beforehand).

No please no, I don't want Zavas to turn into a brainbug, I didn't tame her to be turned into a brainbug, it'd be like Blizz going and making Clack black like they did. It makes no sense and makes me sad

Now I'm not opposed to there being a yellow brainbug implimented, but please, not Zavas.

I'm still hunting for the blue one. Sor seems to ALWAYS be up. But I have yet to see my blue/green boy I want to tame instead.

I read up on Rare - Haarka the Ravenous - there's no time limit given' however for Silithid Ravager it lists about 10-12hrs, because Haarka the Ravenous is listed as "rare" would that be about the same too? Asking because I am thinkin Haarka is a lot more colorful than Ravager plus I didn't want to make a new thread ^^

The Old World rares have very different timers - all the way from the 30 minutes or so of the Glutchmother and Mazzranache to King Mosh's whole week.

I scanned the whole area for Haarka for days now, even have my hunter logged at the green hive to scan about, but my rare finder never goes off. Yet if I wonder over to the pink hive, Sor is there each time. It's kinda refreshing that Sor seems always there for me, makes wanting Haarka all the more cause hes hiding from me and I seem to have a better shot at getting Sor if we get the new stable slots before cata.

Heh, I know the feeling. Even though Mazzranache has one of the shortest timers ever, I never seem to find him when I'm looking to tame him. :P

yes there was this bugged bear onc" he was an exotic i thought he was in ashevale :p

Right, so I think I'm caught up on this forum. Lapress doesn't seem to have a skin change yet and no one has confirmed or denied if Zavas or Ravager change skins in Beta?

Off to go find one of them and see. I'll post here. (Don't worry fraps is off so these guys won't make youtube debuts. ^_^)

As much as you guys would like this to be silent and sneak its way into Cata as is, I have to thank you guys for giving me a reason to get off my butt and grab a Silithid now rather than later.

Personally i dont mind you posting it on youtube haha. i understand how some people are concerned that this is now a lesser possibility. but i had to let go of 2 good pets to get haarka and soriid incase. now hhaarka is growing on mye and i would like them to stay but part of me wishes the next patch these bugs are fixed and i can re get my lost companions =/

Well the good news is that they won't be lost forever no matter what. So happy we get all the stable slots so we can get our favorite friends back, even if we have to let them roam free for a while.
