bah that coatl hype did not last long... alrdy down under 100k...
they just HAVE to do something about the economy soon....most ppl cant afford to spend treasure on lairexpansion and thus dragons drop in price like dead flies....
I cant go on the ah without wanting to buy sooo many imps... there are SO many pretties out there --- but running out of room

Honestly, I don't think that's the economy. That's just people being a bunch of *****s and undercutting prices because their dragons don't sell after awhile and they get the idea that "well if they won't sell for -insert price here- then I might as well lower it till they do because I'll get more out of it than exalting" :/

The Coatl hype actually lasted a little over a month which is really long compared to everything else (Skydancers and Crackle dropped within a few weeks)

heh true.... still crazy that they are so "cheap" now...
and this actually makes me alittle... sad.. This is not a good achivement.. i would rather have those 68.0000 dragons have a kind and loveing home... ughn.. i never wil get to accept that exhalt is a good thing...

True, but there's not enough room for those 68,000 dragons on-site. And even if there was, people would need room in the future still and they'd end up as exalts anyways. There's really no way around it, exalting is the only reason the site isn't totally stagnant and dead, because if there was no way to exalt dragons and you were stuck trying to sell them, I can see people just up and leaving entirely because of it.

Actually I felt the Coatls lasted pretty long at 'high' prices and it impressed me.
But that's just me-

I would love it if people stopped exploiting so the site wouldn't have to disconnect.

This too. I know they're rebooting services on the hour, but I'm getting d/cs all the time from the whole mess.

While I don't mind getting 10k for exalt bait...
I don't understand paying that much and then naming them something stupid. Now my lair is -full- of offspring lists containing dragons named 'HotIntern' and 'CraziestIntern' because apparently someone is an idiot that doesn't know how to use the randomize button.

My problem with this 'ban' on Snaplinks is because while Snaplinks has (I'm referring to the discussion in the Flight Rising thread) supposedly been confirmed to create some sort of lag or memory loss or whatever, there's a few things that make this ban moot.
1) People can click faster than snaplinks can open things (which is probably what many of these people are being banned for because apparently their 'normal' way of clicking is considered some sort of 'botting'. This is all my personal assumption of course based on their reasons for banning us from using snaplinks).
2) The site has an unnecessary amount of functions that require needless and overly excessive refreshing. Marketplace, Gathering, Search because you have to open up the tabs of all the dragons your interested in to see all the variables (genes, colors, apparel, breed, etc. etc. on that particular individual, if they're for sale due to the lack of a color search on AH which pretty much is like Familiar's 2.0 except there's no second refresh like how you do when you bond), Familiar bonding (you need to open the dragons page which is one page load, then after you bond the page reloads so you have two page loads when you should only need one and it is possible to whittle it down to just the one load).
3) They're still sending money/gems you acquire from selling things in the Auction House in your mail which forces you to go through your mail one by one to gather up all that currency which can easily be avoided by just dumping it into the appropriate places. They already give us familiars and items directly into our hoards instead of through mail when they compensate for downtime. IIRC when you buy gems, it's directly added to your amount and NOT mailed to you. Items and familiars being bought off the AH getting sent directly to the hoard and replace mail messages with notifications can further avoid unnecessary loading of extra pages.
4) Magistream, a site more advanced than Dragon Cave in my wholly personal opinion can handle in a day one person, a dozen people, a few hundred people opening THOUSANDS of links leading directly to creatures pages at ANY given time. There are four different sites PLUS 3 actual threads dedicated to clicking peoples creatures right on MS itself for the sole purpose of goldmining.
Flight Rising for all the money they acquired over their kickstarter minimum, and with the assistance of LightSky (which may I add they have apparently not implemented a single thing LightSky has tried to teach, aid, or fix-- though this is NOT first hand information, but they've revealed multiple not-yet-released things in the past so I do have trust in their words. Nothing they've said yet has proven false to my knowledge), should be more than capable of, with LightSky's help, work the system so snaplinks can be accommodated.
It's not that hard, like honestly to make something snaplink friendly. The proof is in a ridiculous amount of places around the web and on many pet sites. They're truly just shooting themselves in the foot and throwing all their money out the window. Especially since they're paying the artists instead of hiring different coders or making use of LightSky's help.
Undel is not exactly inexpensive and they're not making any progression through the masses of problems on the site. Just because the artists can't do anything code related doesn't mean they should be guzzling down all the money that could be used on professional coders to get the site running properly. The artists have jobs too, it's not like their art has to revolve around Flight Rising only. I'm tired of getting pretty art and watching as they find more reasons to ban people.
I'd rather have a pause in the art side of things and updates with actual proof that said updates are actually working and the eventual release of a permanent player registration window that is sooner rather than later. I use snaplinks all the time for everything in my day to day life on the internet on every site (except Dragon Cave which has managed to actually have it redirect to an error page) but on sites where you cannot use snaplinks, I can still click faster than snaplinks can open and I've not dabbled whatsoever with the timer on the extension/plugin/whatever it is (I read somewhere someone has a 2second timer in place so I'm guessing snaplinks has a timer you can adjust to help ease load on servers).

Compleeeeeeetely agree, 100%.
Also...most people getting banned aren't even SnapLink users.

Curse my blind enthusiasm. I've been looking for my WoW dragons and had Malygos planned out. Knew what I wanted and my only decision I couldn't decide on was whether or not to gembond. I found the perfect (or so I thought) little male and snatched him up. Raced and grabbed a guardian scroll, applied it then ............... immediate let down /facepalm.
He has the right primary and secondary.
But. Wrong tert and wrong eye color. I could sell him but doubt I'll make even the AH price on him. Frick.

Gathering for the hopes of getting a familiar from it.
See an empty spot where a picture hasn't loaded and has a 1 beneath it and get excited.
Picture loads as food.
Disappointment.
Also, wanting to replace a dragon purely for the tert even though I have no plans to gene him. VARE WHY MUST YOUR TERT BE STONEWASH
