I didnt call it difficult, I said it took to long. first you have to find a pokemon with the right nature, then you have to breed it and hope that an egg will be produced fast enough, then you have to hatch it and hope it has the right nature...and repeat until you get what you are looking for. Not only that but if your breeding for a specific move, you get a higher chance of that move if one of the parents knows that move already... Its just much quicker for me to use a random pokemon modifier and catch 30 of the same pokemon and check them all for nature, and personality. Since I can easily catch 30 pokemon in only a few minutes, my chances of getting what I am looking for are much higher/faster then breeding.
I'll switch Kyurems moves around for ice beam, and check its Hidden power type.
is return a Atk or s.atk? Megahorns atk, ice beams s.atk, and so depending on if I want to use my atk or my S.atk Samurott, waterfall vs surf.

It hardly takes any time if you actually, you know.. WORK AT IT. Like I said, just get a fricken Pokemon with the right nature (You even SAID you can do that! Just use a friggen code to get something with the right nature), give it an Everstone and breed it with whatever you need for an egg move (Which you can AGAIN just use a code to get!) and thanks to that Everstone, chances are the first egg you hatch (Which hardly takes ANY time at all if you have something with Flame Body or Magma Armour) will have both the egg move and the right nature! Quick and simple.

Hey, uh, Senna?
No need to be so vicious.

What? Can't I be allowed to get frustrated once and a while? I'm frustrated because the argument of "It takes too long!" is stupid and completely untrue, and all I'm doing is trying to explain that.

...I was just pointing out you were being a bit harsh, that's all. I'm sorry I said anything. I'll make sure to keep that in mind. *backs away.*

.. *Hits head against a wall* I.. I'm sorry. I'm just kind of.. Volatile today. Blame hormones. The second I get frustrated, things just go to hell in a handbasket.

I think I can tell.
Either way, I'm just going to drop it and move on with my life. It really isn't too important.

Ok, then I'll nab my atk Samurott, and use waterfall, return (based on happiness, so I'll need to get it to like me), Megahorn...wait, poor accuracy move...X-scizzor? (that and I'd have to breed for megahorn), and Ice beam.
*
Havent found a move modifier code yet, or atleast the time it would take to indivitually enter the values for each attack for later use.
(the code I use for pokemon modifier has a huge warning not to breed these pokemon, not sure if it only freezes the game if I try to breed them while the codes on or if it happens while the code is off as well) Also, there isnt a code yet for making a hatched pokemon have the desired nature...I looked.
I dont make my own codes, I just use the ones off of codejunkies or supercheats, and only those codes that have higher scores since I dont want to screw my game up.
As for "working at it", for the past 10+yrs, I have been (and in ernest in platinum, I did breeding egg moves)...now I just want my damn cookies.
In essence. I am looking for advice for what moves to give my pokemon that fall within the limits of Level up moves and tm/hm's, and items for them to hold.
Am I being lazy using codes? Damn right I am! Am I also keeping what cheating I am doing withing the limits of "legal" pokemon? yes!
Arceus knows I could make an all maxed stat shiny pokemon with illegal move pool and ability if I so wished, but thats not fun.

*Hits head against wall* Megahorn isn't an egg move. It's a base move that you need a Heart Scale for. I should know, my starter has it.

Hatching the right pogeymon does take an incredibly long time. Granted, it's nowhere near as bad now as it was in the previous generations, it's still pretty bad though. Legitimately obtaining the exact pokemon you're after would normally take a number of days, and 2/3rds of that time is usually spent hatching clusters of eggs while multitasking (left, right, left right, left, right for SEVERAL HOURS - while watching a movie.. or ten.) The more you cheat, the easier it becomes. (But any small form of cheating is still considered cheating!)
If you're using AR and have the USB cord that comes along with it, i'd highly recommend learning to use
PokeGen. The UI for that one is the simplest and most easiest to understandout of all the various generators, I don't have much experience using it myself but everyone else seems to like it. (It's still in Beta3.0 testing, I believe.)
Anyway, if you make a lot of teams and waste a lot of time breeding, then it's worth learning imo; this is all trial and error, and most of that "learning" is spent trying to figure out how to make the pokemon look 100% legit. I actually have a lot more fun making my teams this way, and I can't explain it but these pokemon in my teams feel more special to me than any of the ones that I ever hatched/bred in the daycare. If they were based on rp characters then they're made /exactly/ the way they should be, down to every little detail; no looking around blindly for something that "matches the profile," this is the real deal. x3

As a retarded 14-15 year old I spent a number of months playing Emerald, trying to legitimately obtain a shiny (f) eevee with an appropriate nature. After about... 1,000.. 1,500 hatched eggs? (every PC box full of female eevees, released all the males) and not a single shiny (not even a male shiny with an incorrect nature) I gave up. So yeah, we've worked out asses off; from here on out it's all shortcuts for me! <3

Thx Feli, I'll definitly take a look at that tomorrow on my laptop (havent done the driver update hassel on my pc yet) but I have on my laptop so I use that one for my AR work.
"legit" that was the word I was looking for, not legal.
I keep finding unerve Galvantula's with the right nature...I dont think compound eyes likes me

hehehe
So I managed to get the Galvantula with compound eyes, Modest nature with a S.atk+ personality to boot, and I've given it Thunder, Bug buzz, thunderwave, volt switch.
Tested out thunder and 9/10 of them hit

yay!
Now I am working on Samurott, have to check out Kyurems H.P. type, and finish its move set, Valcarona, I traded Fire blast for flamethrower and kept Fiery dance...I like that move.
Bisharp still hast torment, but I will be changing that to something else after I am done with Samurott. And I still have Cofagrigus to level up.
oh right, I also have to use the PP Max on thier moves as well, and give them thier items. Then when thats all done i'll have to see about testing them out.

Picked up Heart Gold this week. It's the first pokemon game I've thought about playing in oh...six or seven years. It's been a LONG time. Grabbed it to goof off, for the pedometer-thingie and it's a time-killer while feeding the baby.
This game has changed a lot from what I remember. Keep in mind I don't remember a whole lot. Pretty much just a basic idea of which pokemon is which and of what type trumps what. What the heck are natures? Do they even matter? You can BREED these things now?! I see abilities are like a little boost. I was not expecting to have to do third-party research for a pokemon game, I do enough of that with WoW. -_-;
