A neat thing I found today. Pokemon drawn in traditional Japanese style:

OH MY GOD! Those are amazing...
Vulpix/Ninetales look extraordinary, although foxes have always been very predominant in Japanese art. <3 Lickitung, the Eevee evolutions, and the legendary birds are among some of my favourites =D And Typhlosion too! And Gengar/Misdreavus!! They wouldn't look out of place in some of those manga linked a short time ago.
Miltank looks very...vulgar, to say the least. xD I like how it's been incorporated though, I know that's all part of the Edo style.
They all look so deformed and possesed...I absolutely love it. <3
EDIT: Just remembered what period the art style was from. =)

Wow. What a mixture of beauty and... nightmare fuel. Thanks for sharing, Veph. A whole lot different from the regular cutesy, bubbly artwork of pokémon.

Oooh I had forgotten about that, saw a link once and meant to check back so thank you! It's so beautifully done.

I know it's mean to be traditional but it's impossible for me to see that now and not think of Okami...
I like to browse deviantart often and I keep seeing new leaked pokemon for the black and white versions coming up. It feels like pokemon will never die. :p I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of them painted in that style though.

Has anyone else seen the new legendaries? (scroll down to the bottom of the page)
They're very... uh, interesting? I have began to call them Enginebutt 1 and 2. Quite suitable, no?

..They look kind of disturbing. Don't really like them much, in my opinion. The starter pokemon seem ugly looking in my book too. Maybe I'm just biased. I do love my Diamond. x3

after...what, 14/15yrs...I think they are running out of ideas...
So, the white one is on the black version, and the black on is on the white version... ummmwut?
I am wondering how many new pokemon are going to be released, and what they will look like...

I don't think they're running out of ideas. And to me, it makes sense that the black one is in White version and the other way around, since it's pretty obvious they're going with a Yin and Yang theme.
I personally love the new Legendaries, and all the other 5th gen Pokemon we've seen so far!
In other news, I got a Shiny Shedinja from a friend, though it's hacked.. I don't really care. Her name is Munja, with is the French name for Shedinja, and she's the perfect level for what I was planning on using a Shedinja for! Not to mentiom she had PokeRus, so I was able to infect a bunch of my Pokemon, including the Eeveelutions I'm training in Platinum, which is VERY nice indeed.

Update! I was playing Pokemon Blue.....cuz I heard of a version of the mew glitch you can do on your first trip to Cerulean. I pull off the glitch and now I have my first mew EVER since I began playing Pokemon 10-15 years ago.
Here's how I did it: Played thru the game as normal till Route 3. On route 3 I caught a Jigglypuff. I went thru Mount Moon, raising the lil 'puff (never thought I'd actually raise one >_>)....also evolving it with a moon stone.....till its speed stat was 25+. I then went to Cerulean defeated my rival, and cleared Nugget Bridge. I then defeated trainers on the route...saving game between battles till I ran into a guy who uses a single lvl 17 Slowpoke. I reset game and headed into some grass. With Wigglytuff's hightened speed and Sing attack, I caught an abra. I got Abra into my team. Now came the tricky part.....I went across Nugget Bridge to the pile of grass with a trainer in it......I positioned myself so that I was in front of the trainer....but he was off screen. I moved down once...pressing start mid-step.....the game paused while I was in his LoS (Line of Sight). Now things are easy. I use teleport to get back to the center. Start button no longer works cuz game thinks I'm in a battle. I cross the bridge, and step into the Slowpoke guy's LoS....far enough away so that he'd hafta walk over to me (he has to walk over to you...if he doesn't...the game freezes). I trash his Slowpoke and teleported back to the center. I go to try to cross Nugget Bridge but the game pauses itself. I unpause and I am immediately attacked by a lvl 7 Mew!. With the help of Spearow's Peck and Wigglytuff's Sing, I managed to catch the elusive lil' bugger. Mew's only attack is Pound at this level. If you battle other trainers during the "unpauseable" phase, you can fight other pokemon...like evolved forms that can't be caught in the wild (Arcanine, the final form Nido's, Clefable etc)
I wanted to test the trick out first before I posted it here to make sure it works. The Mew is also a legit one by the game's standards...has its own battle cry, pokedex entry, and is tradeable.

Deviantart isn't working for me at the moment. Hrm. But anyway, I don't see how anyone could hate on the new starters. Adorable little things, they are. <3 I'm still a little unsure of the legendaries, though.
Speaking of which, has anyone decided between which starter they'll choose if they get Black/White? I'm leaning more roward the little otter. He's a little funny looking, but a cutie nonetheless. Or the lizard. It just depends on what pokémon is available in the region and what the final evolutions for the starters are.
