Wow, so I'm getting to that spore bat now.
...on a different character.
When Fel, my worgen hunter, hit 62, I remembered the old roll I had for Solaira. While I'm not playing her, I definitely am playing Fel and decided to adopt this roll.
For those who don't remember, I had the rather bland brown sporebat. I remembered his skin in the quest mob, Sporewing, and set out to Zangar to go find him. Sporewing wasn't hard to find--and a wyvern shot and a tame later, I had a new sporebat. I wanted a quirky name for the guy--and sticking with my accidental Supernatural naming theme, Sporewing became Chuck. Chuck the Prophet. And/or possibly God, we're not sure yet.
Introducing Chuck. He's a bit camera shy.

Chuck the Hypothetical God but definitely a Prophet is certainly a peculiar creature.

His front is very, very glowy. His eyes are quite brilliant, there's even some sort of spore-fiery substance coming off of them. (assuming those are the eyes. No one is quite sure with sporebats, frankly.) His underside is also very brilliant, bright green in the wings and a deepish orange yellow in the center. He gives off pink and green spores.
His back is mostly brown with pink glowy dangly bits (some people see the 'dark' side of sporebats and claim they are reminiscent of certain appendages, but I don't really see it. I suppose that's a good thing. Fitting, anyways, for a sporebat named Chuck, as any SPN fan can say.) The back of his head is a rippled gold color, leading into a muddy brown sort of color.
Chuck's colors overall are brighter then one expects. He's actually very glowy and he'd be hard to miss in the dark.
His animations are rather fluid. He sort of has a flowing flying animation, he elongates and flaps.

As prior noted by other sporebat users, his idle animation is just sort of flapping and occasionally he curls into a tight sort of 's' shape.

I don't imagine he's a vocal pet, but I was too lazy to find sound and listen to him.
Chuck's abilities Smack, Energizing Spores, and Spore Cloud.
Smack is the basic bite/claw/etc that most pets have, obviously. I've never seen a pet that legit used Smack, mostly because I avoid the moth/sporebat/nether ray sides of life. Energizing Spores is an ability that increases spell haste by 5%. I guess that'd be useful for caster heavy raids/groups. (I know my fire mage would love it to death. Damn you pyroblast.) His other ability, Spore Cloud, is AoE and can and will hit neutral mobs. So be careful of that if you're in a area with heavy mob density. (I'm looking at you, Icecrown). Spore Cloud reduces casting speed of enemies by 50%, (25% in PvP situations), making it a semi-decent PvP pet, I suppose. Again, another situational based pet--if you're in an instance or zone with heavy amount of casters, this could be real helpful.
Chuck and I went out to do some quests, and I found that his ability was distinctly not helpful to me as a Marks hunter. Maybe if it sped up Aimed Shot...
Chuck is fairly sturdy pet, and he can hold and dish damage relatively well. Granted, his ability isn't exactly the most helpful to me--and kind of a disappointment.
While Chuck is a quirky pet, I'm not exactly thrilled with him, and will most definitely be sticking with Cas. He can stay in my stable for now though, I guess.
In the spirit of Rose and Serenity, Chuck thought it funny to try and use Fel as a headrest. She did not approve.
