Oh, what I meant in the green bolded text saying "Does anybody read this?" was not the thread (though it is nice to know you guys still come back and read it) but the actual green text itself. I used to put "Rolls:" in the green text as a title but I thought it got a bit boring so I started to write random stuff or what I was doing. And I was wondering if anyne had paid attention to it hahaha.

Spiritbeests: Next time I will need your hunter's level, for this time I'm going to assume your character is level 69, since you said you can tame exotics. And I don't need to know your server :)

Xakaal: awwww the poor little Moth! I don't mind the "flesh" colouring since it's not the same colour as Kormai's flesh (she has that model). But do tell if you find the other moths appealing. Also, as a Canadian I must ask, wth is a starfish bat and why is it on our $10 bill???

When I say 'hunched tiger', I really mean 'hunched tiger', not 'hunched cat'! :P Hunched cats would be a category (no pun intended) that includes the hunched puma (Pogeyan), hunched panther (Swarming Guardian), hunched nightstalker (Cursed Offspring of Har'koa), as well as the hunched tiger (Tamed Tol'vir Prowler).

Hahahaha! Naw I'm not old, just hadn't quite accomplished what I'd wanted to by this point. But I have time :)

Starfish Bat is something i did when i was in early highschool lol. My friends had a huge kick out of it so i drew more and more of em, eventually bordem hit me so hard i replaced faces with his head and i decided to (cause he was so popular) make him "president" and slap him on a dollar bill haha :D

Oooooooh two-headed vultures <3 I love those guys-- mostly Trachelea but red one will seem a more fitting color to Blood :D

Happy birthday! Remember, you dont get older, you only get more awesome :)

Sorry this is so late! And pictureless.. >.> Uploading pics is a pain.

My report on Spiteflayer!

I had a bit of a tough time finding him, actually. I fully expect all lower level rares to be there and waiting for me when I look, so I was a bit surprised to have him not there!
Logged out for a bit, logged in, logged out, logged in. Blah blah.
Didn't find him.
I spent some time looking for Olm, and had no luck with him either. Spent a few days logging in and out randomly.
Finally hopped back to the Blasted Lands and he was up!

Model: I've always been partial to the two-headed vulture. The one-headed one is perfectly nice and quite natural, but the two-headed one just seems full of personality. They have funny ridges on their tail feathers, nice wings, and really nice heads. The only problems are the obviously segmented wings (visible all the time, as they're always flapping) and the segmented ridges of feathers on their bodies. It looks very 2d.

Skin: My favorite of the two-headed vultures by far. I actually thought he was going to be a brighter yellow, but it turns out he's a fairly dark, nearly orange color. I thought I would prefer brighter, but the darker yellow really brings out his bright, electric blue eyes. It's because of that coloration that I named him Covalent. Overall he's a beautiful color, with many different variations on his wings and back.

Animations: I know some people don't like flappy pets because they have segmented, broken wings. This is true. However, I found him graceful enough, and his attack animations are awesome. As for swimming, it's also fairly nice, using his wings to push himself along.

Sounds: Not too loud, although he does have a loud, high-pitched screech attack. Also, well, he flaps. Flapflapflapflap. Overall he's a fairly loud pet. However, again, I'm used to it.

DPS: He's a very nice little DPS pet. As a ferocity pet, his dps is high, and he seemed pretty tough. A nice pet, although I still need to test his dps vs. my cat.

Tanking: As a Ferocity pet, he's a little less enduring, and he has no AoE aggro. Grrr. However, I found that he kills stuff fast enough that it doesn't tend to matter. Still, a bit squishy. Not a Tenacity pet, that's for sure.

Special Skill: While I see Demoralizing Screech being useful in a situation where you have a squishy tank, I found it more or less a pain in solo. Many a time he ran off to kill an aggro'd critter while I was bashed on by mobs. The same problem foxes have, in fact. Urgh, I hate it. I ended up turning off that skill.

Overall: I love him, really. Covalent is definitely staying. I was actually looking for inspiration to tame him before this. :-)

Another? :-D

Exotics? Sure!
Restrictions? Absolutely none. Give me -anything-. (Well, actually, I have trouble with Cata dungeon pets that I can't solo tame. So.. That's my one restriction.)

So I had the diseased black bear skin this time, which can be found in Silverpine, WPL, and the Blasted Lands.

Let me start by saying that I've always hated the bear model - particularly their big butts and the way their mouths are always open in that snarl. I never ever thought I'd tame one, until for some reason I got a grey bear from Hillsbrad and since then, Banjo has been my go-to tank. I'd rather have him than any turtle, beetle, croc, whatever. I'm still not sure I even like Banjo's color, but there's no way I'm giving him up!

So, I went into this challenge knowing there was no way the zombie bear would be replacing Banjo, but let's give him a fair shake.

This model somehow looks more diseased than the other bears - I think it's the vibrant green of their sores that makes their diseased-ness stand out. They just look... ooze-y. I really can't say I'm a fan of the diseased look. It just kind of creeps me out, and it doesn't really mesh with Tydarus. Perhaps they'd look more at home with a Forsaken hunter?

Like I said, I love my bear tank and would highly recommend them. I like their special, Demoralizing Roar, as a way for them to build a bit more AOE threat. So although I can't really appreciate the diseased models, I'm a firm believer in the bear!

I'm going to change it up and ask for a roll for my undead hunter, Finick, who just joined the Petopians guild last week!
Finick, lvl 14 but will take anything within a couple levels. No restrictions. Help me fill out my stables!

Loethlin: Oooooooh a convention! Which one?

Xakaal: Starfist bat reminds me of my roommates creating Starrrby...the pirate version of the starfish Pokemon Starmie (that spelling doesn't look right)...they did it to make fun of my last name :S

Lupis: I'm sorry you had such trouble finding him...but you did say I could give you anything *sheepish grin*

Tydarus: The only bear model I have been able to connect with in any way is Arcturis and he's not even a real bear! :(

Happy Valentine's Day!

Since you are Undead and probably questing in Silverpine these will be easy enough for you find. I must warn you though, if you get too far in the quest chains they will phase out. Happened to me. So if you're on the quest where you have the three dudes helping you kill things, as soooon as they leave you go and tame one because they phase out shortly after that quest! I learned my lesson. Strangely enough on my baby Kormai in the Petopians guild too haha.

Ok, I had the blue raptor. After spending some time looking for this blue raptor, I tamed him, leveled him up and did some stuff with him.

Model = 7
Idle Animation = 9 I loved the jurassic park toe tap :P
DPS = 8 Not bad at all!
Swim Animation = 5 Not bad, not great.
Agro = 7 (one vs one)
Survivability = 6
Color = 2 Even tho blue is my favorite color ... on this one it just didn't click.

All in all, I think will go re-tame Takk the Leaper since I actually like that skin color the best. After searching though the raptor page for awhile :P

This time around, I had Image. Now I admit to two things...

1. Two years ago, I had a turtle for a few levels (a grey one) and adored him.
2. I am currently leveling Kelvin, my Terrorpene and adore HIM. ::grin::

That aside, I figured what would it hurt to work with one of the non on fire models.;)

On the way to do one daily, I paused in Tanrais and tamed this wee bugger-- he was so shocked his jaw dropped, amazed that someone would dare disturb his sand wallow.
Image

A few seconds later, his irritation soothed by happy application of a hug and a few Azerothian twinkies (hey, that's what the level 85 nut breads look like to me, and Kelvin has assured me that turtles LOOOOVE Azerothian Twinkies) the turtle and Arisia became fast friends. Due to his continual stretching of his head out and taking a deep breath, he was named Puffer.
Image

We raced around doing dailies, running a few of the instances that Arisia can do solo (due to a health/pain issue, I often have to stop playing for a while, at random times, hence why I cannot tame from instances) and found out the following things about Azerothian turtles who are paired with a beastmaster hunter... at least those paired with Arisia...

1. They tank nicely-- but give them TIME to get to the thing they are attacking. If you, like me, normally use a cat with dash and so have in your attack macro your first shot, that shot WILL hit before the turtle gets there and it makes it harder for the poor thing to grab aggro.
2. Turtles are ADORABLE; they have cute animations, they are quiet, they come in so many colors (including flaming!) that you can and will find the perfect match for you. The blue one isn't exactly my mug of coffee; I find the yellow and blue a bit visually "meh", but I can see others loving that combo.
3. Turtles eat bread, fish, fungus and fruit, and so at 85 you will most likely be feeding them with Twinkees and trust me, this is for the best, considering how much they like them... of course the fact they can eat what you pull up while leveling fishing makes them almost as good as bears in the "garbage can eater" critter.

All in all, I find I really enjoy using turtles, and if I didn't already have Kelvin, I most likely would have kept Puffer. As it was, after we spent a pair of days together, we took one last swim and then I sent him back to his lovely cove with the rest of his family.
Image

I would love to do a third, if you like my reports. ::grin::
Arisia, level 85, exotics are fine -- I have most of the Spirit Beasts, thought.
No instance pets, and no bugs, please!

I've been trying to decide on a Kazooie, actually! As far as I can tell, the best matches are the pink tallstrider, which I already have (and could rename), or the red and purple owl. I welcome any Kazooie suggestions though! Perhaps a parrot? WTB tameable red hawkstrider.

Arisia: Shame about your pain issues. I hope that better methods of long-term pain management get developed, and soon.

Tydarus: You looked at the (single-headed) Carrion Bird models? And yes, parrots would be a good idea as well. Both models have very expressive faces, if you ask me. Tell you what; why don't you create a new thread about this? EDIT: Sending a PM instead

So my goblin hunter is no longer my littlest hunter. I've hit 70 on her and I'm running out of stable space.

So I made another hunter! 8-)

My excuse is I've been wanting a character on the other faction, so I can sell recipes and other faction-exclusive stuff cross-faction and profit. And I can't be bothered dragging Yet Another Death Knight through the starter zone, so I might as well make a little hunter and see how the human quests have changed. Makes perfect sense, right?

I need therapy.

Anyway! This new littlest hunter only has one pet so far, the Blackrock Battle Worg (I got rid of the starter wolf post-haste; not only does every other human hunter have one, but almost every single wolf in Elwynn Forest looks like that, too, so pfft).

So I could use some random pet hunting to fill up her stables :D

Name: Ferens
Level: 17 right now, but I'm a fast leveler. I'll take anything up to level 25-30 or so.
Exotics: No.
Restrictions: No serpents, dogs, gorillas or monkeys, please.

I'm game for absolutely everything else - rarespawns, long treks, etc. Except the bloody rare parrots in bloody Deadmines, because that place hates me.

Been visiting Petopia off and on over the last three years and am relatively new to the Forums. I would like to partake in the challenge if it is still going on. I have two hunters, both level 85, and will do the challenge on either of them. They are listed below:

Name: Thelandira (Echo Isles)
Level: 85
Exotics: sure
Restrictions: Thela has a wide variety of pets already. If you want to armory her to see them do so. Or, go to http://www.jstmel.com/wowss/thelaspets.html for easier browsing of her pets (armory is sometimes buggy). I haven't run around with many of her pets so feel free to choose one she has or pick one she doesn't. Also, no rare spawns please...unless she already has them.

Name: Sheeturself
Level: 85
Exotics: sure
Restrictions: No rare spawns please. Sheet has about 12-13 pets, but I don't have a listing of them like I do for Thela.
