I just really like the look of them. Most of the pokemon I choose to use are first and formost based off of how they look. If I am going to be staring at them over and over, I want to make sure the views good

Second comes stat/moves/usability type stuff.

Hey, imma just gonna sit down in this thread for a while

I like using pokemon that arent used so much because people wont know what to expect

like im away to level a Skarmory as a tank, along with someone with lightning rod, but yeah i can't use ones that i don't like the look of either

I can completely understand that, but I do like some balance in my team, that said. I love how my scyther works, but he just doesn't mesh as well as McKay or Lily do. (Fearow and Quilava respectively.)

bah! the person hasnt been back on pokefarm since sending me the challenge

I'd challenge someone here, but I'd be at a disadvantage since my team/moves are known

So I finally evolved my roselia with the movepool of:
Worry seed (To get rid of any annoying abilitys)
Leech seed (For extra health)
Giga drain (Just in case)
Shadow ball (lowers special defense and is just a good long ranged attack)
So far im aiming for special attack or more health, any suggestions on what to give my rosearade?

Hehe, so offense but Skarmory isn't exactly an odd sight. Or at least not in 4th generation competitive battling XD But! Other than that, I love the idea of using Pokemon like that.. One of my prized Pokemon in SoulSilver is my Noctowl, Insomnia. I've noticed that Noctowls are pretty much the most unused early-region bird besides Fearow (And it's not really even a "regional bird"). Stupid Pidgeot gets ALL the love in HeartGold and SoulSilver teams.. I honestly do not get why people love it so much. Noctowl's much better <3
And Umbreon, while extremely popular among fans.. Is not used very much in competitive battles. But my 4th gen Wi-Fi team? One of my best Pokemon (Though I don't use him very often.. I think I kind of underestimate him at times. ... Doesn't THAT sound familiar? >.> *Looks at Ghost*) is my little Umbreon, Rust. He's pure amazing <3

Actually I used a fearow in my main soulsilver team, I loved the bird to death, although they could use a bit more defense and health

Okay, guys. I need help.
I've been playing around with my team, and have changed it up some, and now I'm hitting quite a few road blocks I just can't figure out.
These three will stay:
Shade the Umbreon
Lily the Typhlosion
McKay the Fearow
These guys can be changed as needed:
Basil the Raikou (I'd prefer him to stay, but he can be changed if needed.)
Bayne the Gyarados
Empty Spot o'Doom
Now, here's the catch. I'm lazy and picky as hell. Meaning looks are a huge factor. As if we do find something that can be AR'ed, I'll need someone to tell me how to get my friend code and how to properly trade stuff, since I never learned how. >>;

If you're referring to Azu (Which I'm guessing so XD), it's her SoulSilver team she's needing help with.
Speaking of which.. I got nothing, Azu XD I've been far too busy working on my own team!
And speaking of that.. I've finally figured out my new competitive team! YAY!!! It's gonna be..
Garchomp (Female, no name so far, will know Outrage, Earthquake, Stone Edge and Dragon Claw, and will hold a Choice Band.)
Shiny Ninetales (Female, named Sunnie, will know Nasty Plot, Fire Blast/Flamethrower (Haven't decided), Energy Ball and Hidden Power Rock (Yes, the Shiny DID manage to have the exact Hidden Power type I needed XD), and will hold an Expert Belt.)
Shiny Venomoth (Don't know gender just yet, will be named Promethea (If female) or Nightshade (If male), will know Quiver Dance, Sleep Powder, Bug Buzz and Psychic, and will hold Black Sludge.)
Sharpedo (Dream World, undecided gender, no name so far, will know Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Crunch and Protect, and will hold a Life Orb.)
Gastrodon (Female, no name so far, will know Scald, Earth Power, Toxic and Recover, and will hold Leftovers.)
And Glaceon (Male, no name so far, will know Blizzard, Hidden Power Ground, Shadow Ball and Baton Pass, and will hold a Choice Scarf.)
.. Yep, decided to drop Rotom. But I've settled on Glaceon! *Grins*

what about a kingdra (water, ice and dragon moves, plus sniper ability), Haracros(bug/fighting), Venomoth (poison/bug), either of the Nido's (poison/ground), Gengar, or ariados?

I remember nidoking pretty fondly...Had one waaay back in my first ever Fire Red, and I loved that guy. He was really strong, he and Max the Charizard were my go-to pokemon.
Anyways, this is the proposed team now:
Shade the Umbreon
Lily the Typhlosion
McKay the Fearow
Dusk the Venomoth
Hail the Vaporeon
Havoc the Nidoking

Update tiem! XD
For how my new team is going.. I've managed to breed an Eevee with a Timid nature and Hidden Power Ground.. I'm currently breeding for a female Jolly Gible.. I now have a Dream World Carvanha (Thank you Magna and Kira~! <3), and my friend has just recently caught a Shiny Venomoth. I dunno if it has the right ability, or if it even has a workable nature, but hey, hopefully, it'll be good enough to use.
Anyway! Remember how I was at Sakura Con 2011 here in Seattle last month? Well, during the last day.. Someone had a music player out, and ended up playing the original Pokemon theme song. And at least a good 30 people ended up singing it together, including me XD It was pure amazing. And unfortunately, until now, I wasn't able to find a video, but just now...
Whee! I found eet! I'm not anywhere in the video, cause the person who did the video didn't turn far enough to the left to see me, but I was there lol

I've brought over some pokemon from platinum to White, for another team:
Growlith (s.atk/s.def)
Scyther (atk/spd)
Abra (s.atk/spd)
Flygon (atk/spd)
Lucario (atk/spd)
Duskull (def/s.def)
Today I also tested out my team agains a co-workers team ( he favoured strong but slow pokemon...Emboar, Conkeldurr, zweilous, zekrom, and I think Scrafty...his 6th spot held an egg) The fight did not start out well for me, Emboar against Bisharp, so I spent my first move switching Cofagrigus in, got hit with fire blast, countered with pyschic, his 2nd fireblast ko'd me, brought out Samurott to finish him with waterfall, he brought out Zekrom so I switched in Galvantula, he used fusion bolt, I countered with bug buzz, his 2nd fusion bolt knocked me out so I brought in Haxorus and used dragon claw for the KO. Scrafty came out and went down in one go to Dragon claw, and then I faced Conkeldurr. Got him to half health with a dragon claw but got KO'd by Hammer arm. I brought out Volcarona and did 2 quiver dances, almost got killed by hammer arm, and then 1HKO'd him with Fire Blast.
It was pretty fun, though I find myself with the same issues of always having pokemon that hit hard, but are squishy...damn clothies!
oh ya, I can now view battle videos at the pokemart, so i was able to see that one Magna

Great news! I have almost ALL my team except for Gastrodon, which I'm about to start breeding for in SoulSilver! (Thanks to needing Earth Power)
And, luckily for me.. One of the Shiny Venomoths my friend caught was male AND had the right ability! And has a workable nature to boot! (Which is Serious, by the way. Not the best, but hey, he's Shiny and has the right ability, so who cares? XD)
Now.. Off to SoulSilver! Wheee!

its very hard to fins a Atk type grass move, most are S.atk, so if you have one that is a s.atk that can learn energy ball or grass knot, I'd go with that.

Finally got to battle the trainer that chellanged me a wekk or so back. He used Unova legendaries (all 3 dragons, Meloetta, Genesect and Keldeo)
I used Samurott, Cofagrigus, Valcarona, Galvantula, Bisharp and Haxorus.
The first game I lost, bearly since I didnt realise that item use was enabled, so he revived a pokemon. I managed to get his last one down to half health before my last pokemon went down. The 2nd battle he switched out genosect for Audino, Meloetta for Volcarona and keldeo for landorus.
he knocked out my cofagrigus (after it knocked out his audino) so I used Haxorus to knock out his whole team. (Haxorus has 438atk, 249 spd and holds a quick claw)
In the first fight if I'd revived my Haxorus, I probably would have won that game as well. Atleast now I know what that item thing is now.

Note to self, remember important things such as items and SAVING while EV training. Ugh.
*Hits head against wall* First I end up realizing that I didn't give my Gastrodon a Macho Brace, AFTER I killed 32 friggen Durants. And then I evolve my Eevee, then realize, oh wait, I forgot to level him up enough to have him learn Baton Pass. I turn off the game, only to realize I hadn't saved since right before starting to train my Gastrodon. Great, now I have to do it all over again (At least I can train her for Defense RIGHT this time.. Ugh.)
On a better note, all my other Pokemon are fully EV trained, so my Gastrodon is the last one I need to train.
And, I may as well update my little team thingy:
Garchomp (Female, named Madeline, will know Outrage, Earthquake, Stone Edge and Dragon Claw, and will hold a Choice Band.)
Shiny Venomoth (Male, named Nightshade, will know Quiver Dance, Sleep Powder, Bug Buzz and Psychic, and will hold Black Sludge.)
Sharpedo (Dream World, male, named Luka, will know Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Crunch and Protect, and will hold a Life Orb.)
Gastrodon (Female, named Sydney, will know Scald, Earth Power, Toxic and Recover, and will hold Leftovers.)
And Glaceon (Male, named Izzy, will know Blizzard, Hidden Power Ground, Shadow Ball and Baton Pass, and will hold a Choice Scarf.)
So.. Yeah. Now.. Off to kill some damn Stunkfisks. Again. >.<
