Lupis, I totally say you should get Black. It's awesome! (And besides, I have over 400 Rufflets, so I can give you one if you want XD)

I like black the most. I was sad when I had to get white "because I wanted the white legendary," but then as I went to pre-order white I noticed this big black thing in the middle of the box, and was all: "what the f- piss off..."

Then I checked black, noticed reshiram on the cover, and well.. did a little retarded dance, like ash and brock in that exeggutor episode. xD

Oh and I just finished my dual-weather team, i'll have to test that out on the random match-up now ~

Just tested out my team in the random match up...4 battles, 4 losses...although one was close, like whomever got first hit wins close...But still, kinda bummed out that my team flunked so much...

There's some pretty hardcore players in there, but yeah they've made the game far too offense-oriented in my opinion. It's too difficult to rely on high-defense switch-ins and stallers, like Umbreon.. </3

It seems to favour speed and high damage, in my case i've noticed that dragonite is particularly nasty, he ravaged my team on two separate occasions, so i've taken steps to try and prevent that.

Also, if you built a team of 6v6 then you're at a disadvantage in a 3v3 match, it's better doing those with two teams of 3v3 to choose from. xD

Well, I think my "stand alone" stratagy just doesnt work, I am going to have to redo my team for more 3v3 orientation. I try to have a variety of types to choose from to try and be able to handle what comes at me, and judging from how long it takes them to pick thier 3, I can only guess that they are trying to figure out what I'd chosen.

Also had my first ever trick room opponent...nasty thing. Another team had far to many legendaries on it...5/6...it was the ghost trainer whom I almost beat, but sadly it had come down to lapras vs Flygon, and lapras seemed the faster...

If only my Haxorus wasnt glitched, I really need to get a better wild pokemon mod code, the default one has some sort of bad coding where you cannot breed them or enter them in random battles...but he has 431atk.

Is it glitched, or hacked? (you caught it, right?)

Well.. i'm getting absolutely clobbered with this team as well, 2 wins and something like 10 losses. XD; i'm being haxed to the extreme, the opponents /always/ crit me at the perfect moments, and I always miss an attack right as i'm set up for a sweep. At least 4 of those games I definitely would've won had I not been so unlucky.

Funny thing is i'm using a trick room team and it's performing horribly in here. XP

Edit: Match has begun!
Enemy tyranitar used: stealth rock
Feli's tyranitar used: Earthquake - 80% dmg!
Enemy tyranitar used: Ice beam! - Feli's tyranitar is frozen!

"OMFG!!@@!#!"

right after I posted, lmao. The game hates me. XD

Well, its one of those Random encounter modifier codes. So: Select Axew code, select shiny, select lv 1. Start game with selected cheats. walk into grass and theres a lv 1 shiny axew...however the code comes with the warning "do not breed these pokemon" and from the info found on the net, it causes the game to crash or freeze. There seems to be some sort of hidden marker on them that makes the game know its a hacked pokemon...So I need to find a new code for random pokemon encounters. Just for Gen V though, the one I have on platinum is awsome, although I cant seem to make the shiny code work with the nature code, shiny code cancels out the nature code in platinum. A minor annoyance.

However the only code I've been able to find other then the default code for random encounters, involves tossing out Xmaster balls and X ultraballs, where master ball # = pokemon, and Ultraball # = Pokemon lv. I have yet to put that one on my AR since from reading it, it replaces the first two items in the item slot of the bag.

And I've yet to really check out that program you links oh soooo many pages back (although saved on my laptop) the pokesav one.

Forgot I sent you that, lmao.

Strange, it must generate an illegal shiny PID. But if you have an AR then that's a good thing, you should be able to check your Secret ID and stuff with it. If you did wanna learn how to make legit ones yourself, then i'd recommend using PokeGEN instead - the UI is a lot more friendly.

http://pokegen.projectpokemon.org/download.php?id=7

In fact, if you wanted to try making one I could easily email you a Volcarona template. All you'd need to do is open PokeGEN, and drag/drop the file I email into one of the PC slots. Then select four attacks, put in your trainer name/ID/secret ID, and press "export." Could fiddle with the EVs or place a tick in the 'shiny' box if you like - it'll come out lv.100, re-nickname-able, and usable on WiFi. Your call. x3

(It creates a file that you can drag and drop into the AR code manager, (or you can just open the file which tells you the AR code and type that into the AR manually - but it'll probably be rather lengthy!)

That user interface is pretty nicely set up. Though I'll probably need a bit of help figuring out things like PID...

PID is the pokemon's ID, it's a looong number which tells the game whether or not the pokemon was legitimately obtained. If you make a pokemon that was hatched or caught in B/W, then you can just leave it blank and the game fills it in automatically.

Dunno if this link will work or not, but here's my Volcarona Save file - http://download1449.mediafire.com/tg20t ... carona.pkm

All you need to do is:
1. Open PokeGEN
2. File > Load > 2Volcarona.pkm
3. Right click a PC slot and press "Set"

you need to right-click a pokemon in the PC and then "View data" if you want to edit it.
once you finish editing a pokemon, you right-click a PC slot and then "set."

I'll probably be sleeping for the next 6 or so hours, but if you do decide to check it out whenever, then just compile a list of stuff that you find confusing and I should be able to come up with a few answers.

Awsome, just did all that, made it shiny, and tested it out. Wont be able to enter it in any ranoms until probably sunday. In a few hours I get to head over to my Aunts place for the night with my kid, then photo shots in the morning for my Mom's wedding...if you dont hear from me again, I did not survive the family function...
It did take me a bit to find out where to find the "code" so that I could copy it into my AR, now to just remember where I found it lol.

Well, if I dont have to worry about the PID, then I can just do the hatched thing and leave as is. I tried looking up about the PID on google @@ dizzy, to many numbers. lol.

Will check back on sunday (hopefully) to see how everyones teams are coming along.

To get the code you click the pokemon you want from the PC so that they're highlighted blue, and then: [Tools] >

Code: Select all

. It saves an .XML file and you can open it with notepad to see the code, or drag/drop it in AR code manager if you have the usb cable with your AR. Speaking of which, I only just got the AR DSi not too long ago, and it's so much nicer compared to the old AR DS that I used to have!

Have fun with the rest of the family. x3

Team Phoenix (Final, most likely.)

Varyn the Samurott, level 52
Raptor the Archeops, level 58
Kozri the Druddigon, level 54
Quinn the Tyranitar, level 50
Shade the Umbreon, level 28
Valentine the Vulpix, level 24.

Lots of grinding to be done, but that's what Nimbasa, new trainers, and audinos are for.

That sounds good, I just put Tyranitar in my last team and it's really surprising how much easier it is when using bulky offense-oriented pokemon. I think Umbreons are really hard to use in Gen-5, though! I was thinking of trying out another Mean Look/Baton Pass build, with a lot of leftovers/protect spam/wish support. x3

*nods.* Quinn is tough, she's held her own in a few fights.

And huh. I opted for umbreon over absol because I wanted something that can take a few hits. My absol was like paper.

YAY, I lived!!!! Well, I got lucky, got nominated the designated "kid watcher" well everyone else ran around like headless chickens trying to get the wedding set up.

Played some of my black in my free time, spent time just diving around and collection relic stuff and plates that I really have no use for at all, but it was fun wondering around nd trying to figure out if there was any real meaning to the writting on the walls...to bad it wasnt in unown, I would have been able to read that...or brail.
