Congratulations!

It's gotta feel so good to have your dream mount drop at last! Since resets in the EU happen on a Wednesday and not a Tuesday, I hope one of my weekly runs decides to be lovely to me and give me a slightly-late Christmas present! (Please be Ashes, please be Ashes!)

Congrats again, you deserve it!

Don't take my word for it but I think dropping snake trap when the oneshot is imminent is key? That way if you die he sits on the snakes while you res.

What Meggers said! I believe it's all to do with the timing of the snake trap.

Thanks guys!

it feels great to finally have this mount- It was such a big event that even my parents celebrated- and they hate wow xD
As for soling Bloodlord- ^ what they said. You just have to drop a snake trap directly under him a few seconds before he decapitates you. (That’s why you can see my stopwatch going in the screenie.) He will decapitate 10 seconds after the pull and then I think every 34 seconds after that. O.- I use a tank spec core hound and pop all my cds after the second rez for the damage buff. You shouldn’t have to worry much about healing your pet.
It’s honestly all in the snake trap. If you pop it too early the snakes despawn, pwait to long and he will hit you before you can lay the trap. Since you still need to kill the raptor, you have to deal with your pet occasionally running around the ring with the Bloodlord following him and that can make setting traps hard. Once you have the timing down it’s not that bad. I almost soloed him in blues but wiped at 2% when I ran out of rezzes.
I wish I could make a vid for you guys but I don’t want to pay for an in game recording program. >_>

grats oh and thank you, your post made me want to go and try solo again and after 200+ runs and 6 fail rolls I got him my very first solo.
some tips are: keep your pet on bloodlord really you can easily solo the raptor even with low gear can slow him up to, binding shot is a good trick. It makes it hard to place traps otherwise but I have 487ilvl gear and can quickly pwn said raptor. Don't use lynx rush the whole frantic movement can make it really.. hard and annoying to place the trap. For stampede make sure all your pets dont have growl on, you want the guy to stay at the rsame spot. With decaptitate you see the lil bar on dbm that tells you when its coming? ignore said bar

itll mess everything up around 20ish secs works but usually its all a matter of timing it right. I placed one after I killed the raptor make sure you place it on him and not you, itll be tricky timing it especially with traps taking a few secs to actually trigger. FD when he uses blood letting itll still hurt you but he wont get health from it. Oh and if you kill the raptor right when he kills a spirit sometimes if you are lucky he wont respawn.
The fight is mostly trial by error it took me over an hour and a half to get it right. Good news deaths only cost me 50s each time lol.

Well after some 1240 kills and like two weeks of no sprites to kill…. My next skyshard dropped.

So I figured you know what? It’s time to finish this thing! So some 500 kills later…

After so much time taunting me- she is mine!

and what a beautiful color too! The lightning really pops out against dark backgrounds too. Despite all the suffering I think I prefer this to the camping method. Speaking of which, maybe she will be my new luck charm for Aeonaxx.

So whenever I do RBGs I usually go and to some archeology while I waitfor the Q to pop. (Joining group pulls me over to a high pop pvp realm so I don’t even bother with Aeonaxx) The group broke up before I could get any solves done last night so today I log in for the Aeonaxx camp but I can’t stop thinking of the elusive Tol’vir mount. I just keep getting that urge to do “Just one more dig site. Just one more!” So I finally break down and go harvest all of the dig sites I have been saving. Guess who was waiting for me behind your everyday soap stone scarab?

I just love this guy! I love his twitching mandibles and skittering sounds! ^.^ I was lucky enough to get him in 62 solves. I had screenshots of the solve but sadly my computer decided to not save them. =( so here, have a picture of my mount looking at a baby bug.

Also ran in tothe world boss two more times this week while camping. I’m reltivly certain I will die of a heartattack before Aeonaxx ever shows up.

Congratulations. That arch. mount would be a perfect fit for my character, but I keep either not getting any Tol'vir digsites at all, or getting 10th sand castle. There's a long way before me... why can't we just use the AQ mounts outside?

I know how you feel. I always got just a *Tiny* bit jealous of players with this mount. And despite all the updates and having done all the nelf and fossil finds- I still got way more nelf sights than anything else. Drove me crazy! I usually couldn’t pull up more than one tol’vir site per round before all the night elf junk made me quit.
I wish the AQ mounts worked outside of the instance too. They didn’t even bother to reskin this guy so blizz was probably feeling a *tiny* bit lazy. >_> but I was well worth the farm. I found the ring first, then the pet and lastly the mount- keeping in pattern with what most people say they find. I hope you can find yours soon. Good luck!

*hands you my lucky digging sholve.* You can do it Soph!
Well I was in the middle of trying to tame a rather elusive tiger when I stopped and thought: “ I must go! Zg is calling me!” So I darted off into the heroic and sure enough the mount dropped! ^.^ The raptor is by far my favorite but this guy doesn’t look that bad either

The lack of armor is kind of nice. Now to just help my guildy get these guys.
And the icing on the cake? Went back to try and tame my stubborn tiger again and got him in five minuets!

Also got my oil stained wolf last night. Big thank you to my friends Sufferance and Cody for helping me tame them.
Now back to the Aeonaxx camp! >.< /foreveralone

=O Wow grats Sylvi! Another mount (including the raptor in ZG lol) that refuses to drop for me, I'm currently duo'ing with another mount collecting friend of mine as I have no hunter to solo Bloodlord on :/ I should get back to leveling my hunter...
I had a dream about Aeonaxx last night actually, which was weird... (already have him) - hopefully that's a sign that someone here is going to get him soon. Sending the luck vibes your way for Aeon
