now i cant log on and i tryied clearing my cache.. i DONT have the technical skills to do this

do i really have to play fr with constant downtimes OR pay some tech to do the above for me ( icannot afford that )

Oh look I can't even log on. That's okay, I didn't really want to play this game.

Growing pains or not, they are going to really start losing people and fast. At this rate, I have very low hopes for the survival of FR.

Edit: And when I try to see the forums to check if I'm the only one, I get 503 errors everywhere! Whoo! This is the most fun game EVER. 10/10 would FR again!

As much as I hate to say it..can they take it down again until it actually works this time?

I'm not even sure that the problem is a server problem at this point but I don't know since I don't code or anything. My fiance thinks that they went from using a decent VPS server to swapping to a not as good dedicated server. If I remember what he was saying, a dedicated server is better, but only if it's set up properly. He was also saying that it could be a databasing problem since they have that random dragon generator on the front page and everybody having to load it. But that's all speculation since they don't release the info about what they're using or anything.

They just feel very inexperienced about running the site and I feel like they should get advice from some of the people who have been running games like this for a long time as well as experienced coders to help out Akiri since every time he goes to fix something, he breaks one or more other aspects of the site and that doesn't seem like it should happen.

if you get the cannot log in error, go to the wow fr membership list, go to your clan profile, and log in from there that works.

the site still runs VERY badly. and im very tired of hearing that its MY fault that it runs badly... i did all the things they asked me to expent the coding thingie which im NOT going to do...

I love the game but tbh they did a shitty job... they had SOOOO much extra time... sierouslly...

The site IS running badly but remember .. we all and like 1900 others log in at pretty much the same time to check on our nests,breed and whatever else so the site is under quite abit of load as well.

yeah its like 6 pm danish time and there are over 2000 users online..

The amount of users really shouldn't matter if stuff was set up properly; there's other sites and games that handle that kind of load on a regular basis. Not to mention, at this point, it's a staggered log in due to the sluggishness and the errors and not everyone logging in at once.

^ This, I'd rather they get it completely operational and KNOW its working than open it up and make it so hard to log on that I can barely feed my dragons every day..

I don't know they had a shitload of time to fix things already and still mucked it up.

I don't think time will help them, I think actually getting a coding /team/ over /person/ will be the thing to do.

It would be SO nice if any of the games worked for me! I'd like to get started on gathering my 300K now please.

Dragons won't sell, games don't work. Coliseum won't load. Crashes every few minutes. Thanks for a week's worth of hard work!

Or Subeta even. Subeta used to have server problems in the past (they still sometimes do, but only when events are going on).

That sums up my feelings, Vasken. I mean, I should be upset about the shoddy performance and all that jazz, but really, I'm just upset that I can't see my dragons. ;_;
