I just wish there was someone near by whom I could have proper matches with, I have so many cards and no-one to play with T.T
Same, amplied by the fact that I dislike all of the gen 4 & 5 legendaries (well I don't mind reshi, but I plain dislike using legendaries in a deck, it takes the fun out of using evolution cards.) Ah, I kinda wanted to construct my own deck of IRL cards, but i'm in the same boat as you; no one around to play or trade with...

If you just like collecting the cards but don't want to play the online TCG, you can just ebay the online codes for money to buy more cards with. They go for roughly $0.60 - 0.90 per code, so you can recoup $20-30 from a booster box of 36 codes. It's not too bad I guess... (I like the Undaunted booster packs the most, but they don't contain any codes.)

Yeeeah, but.... Christmas is more of a happy, gift-giving, time-of-year thing - It's more fun to draw!

When you said "new years" this was the first thing that sprang to mind - http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpiklrYCR11qjindv.png XD

I think Arceus is banned on random Wi-Fi since it's considered an "Uber". There were some changes done to B/W Wi-Fi battling rules too. Most of them are restrict any kind of hacked Pokemon and apparently, the move Dark Void is not banned as well.

http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/B ... _to_change

I'm not surprised at the banning of hacked Pokemon really. =P

You can use hacked pokemon on there provided that you make them look 100% legit, been doing it for the last.. 4-ish years? xD

I'm pretty sure pokemon with illegal moves were usable in HG/SS WiFi via PalPad, though... Or it might've been D/P/Pt, I forget....

trying out the Pokemon TCGO, its so...akward! There are just so many short cut options that arent there, its...I dunno who designed it, but it needs a more user friendly set up!

Also, I hope to post tonight a winter sawsbuck for a collabe for the new years if anyone else wants to add something.

Yeah the layout can be kinda confusing, especially the deck manager and trading section - plus it's still in BETA so mine lags rather badly in multiplayer. If anything confuses you then lemme' know. x3

Right now i'm trying to figure out how to draw rocks, I did draw a jolteon in this picture but it's not really good new years material; i'll see what happens I guess. x3; it's a shame my skills aren't up to scratch, i'd totally love to draw us a background.

I tried some of it. I thought about getting into it until I heard you actually had to buy booster packs in order to build your own deck. Then I got turned off of it. =P

yeah, when you buy booster packs they have a code card in them that you can use to get points towards "buying" virtual cards/booster packs, and decks. Since I collect cards anyways, I thought I'd give the virual stuff a go.

I might pop in a few suggestions in the forum thread about a better page layout for easier navigation.

Here is Winter Sawsbuck, ready for the new year. I was trying a new coloring technique, I like some parts of it, and others I found a bit annoying. Then again, I am still trying to figure out the whole layers thing. Hopefully I will be able to get my drawing tablet later in the week, they were out of stock today...*looks at clock*...Yesterday.
I had wanted to make him a bit more festive looking, but my atemps at digitally adding stuff was less then displayable :P

I wish I was good at backgrounds too Felidire, its been a weak point for me for a long while. Hoping to develope that skill more when I get my tablet.

That looks rather nice, I dunno if i'll be able to produce something up to that standard. Drawing in hot weather makes me somewhat frustrated. XD

Yeah I think it's more for the people who actually collect the cards so that they have a means of playing a wider variety of people. I don't collect the cards IRL I just try get my hands on cheap-ish codes. If you wanted to play it I could probably spare a few cards, though it appears as if you need a deck full of legendaries and super rare cards in order to have any hope in hell of ever winning an expert match. =/

Another reason why I prefer the games over the TCG. At least in the games you can train your Pokemon to beat the crap out of the people who love to just use nothing, but Legendaries. Especially the Ubers.

Felidire, I only wish I could draw as well as you can!

I did figure out a better way of getting to the deck builder... I need to find my pre-made decks I bought and nab the codes from them so I can steal their energy! I also got a ton of booster packs and got 2 full body Zekroms...Wish I had that luck in RL boosters...

I dont really care so much right now if i win/lose matches, I am just happy right now to actually play the card game!

Hardly, I'm just an undisciplined artist who occasionally gets lucky. x3

Zekroms are worth a fair bit on there, especially the FullArt ones. I've only ever had one. To get to the deck builder I just press the "Multiplayer [PvP]" button and wait for it to load. All three buttons "Deck Builder / Collection / whatever the other one was" all lead to the same interface. You don't need to have the basic energy cards you can add as many of those to your deck as you like, but you have to actually own everything else.

I'll give you a quick list of cards that seem to be highly valued:
Kyurem > Zekrom > most other legendaries. (Kyurem appears to be worth 4 booster packs, and is by far the best card on that site.)
Leafeon, Dodrio, Weavile, Hydreigon, rare candies, double colourless energies, Chandelure, most prime cards (gengar & tyranitar stand tall above the rest.)

I think the hardest part was learning how to trade, and I lost a typhlosion and Blissey prime in the process of trying to figure the damn thing out; so if you have any of those don't cards I wouldn't try to trade 'em right away, might end up losing some like I did.

Another tricky thing is that when you're in the [Trade] tab, it'll be set to "Select Partner" - what you usually do is set it to "Public Offer" first and then - to the left - add the cards you want using the "I am offering" and "getting from?" - If you add the cards you're offering and the cards that you want, and THEN set the drop down tab to "Public Offer" - it will remove the cards you set in the "getting from?" tab, but not the "I am offering" tab (i.e. If you hit the create button after doing that, it will offer your cards in exchange for nothing, and some lucky bastard will be yelling "F*ck yea! Score!") XD

tl;dr be careful with trading good cards, it's risky and took me a few burns before I figured it all out.

"Please dont kick me" ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, your art is awsome, not only are you great at the line work, but you can make it look furry, glowy and give its eyes life! In comparison, mine looks akward and flat...it has no real depth or detail to it.

Yeah, I think I'll hold off on trading anything just yet. First I'd like to build up my own decks, and I will probably only trade things that I will either not use or have multiples of.

I also really need to find some deck code cards that I have somewhere...one for the Kokodile deck and one for the Serperior deck. Might have the Samurott deck around somewhere as well... just cant remember what I did with the deck code cards...I know I didnt toss em.

*edit* also, the deck builder can be located via a link at the bottom of (every?) page, in the black "Pokemon international" box thing, just click the "pokemon trading card game" link in that box. Its at the VERY bottom of the pages.

You can totally see the umbreon getting kicked in the back of the head, rofl. Eh, I like yours more, I can never do hard shading properly; mine always turns out looking terrible. I really need to practice on the eyes as well! x3

Hm.. Well the only Theme Decks that i've enjoyed are the "Daybreak" one, and the "RED" one that you get to use in the single-player challenge for free. (I'm unsure if you can unlock that for online play or not, but the flareon is a beast!) ... I think the Umbreon theme deck is just deplorable, I can never win, it feels like it was thrown together at the last minute, I always get stuck with a bad hand, no evolutions or completely-energy starved.

The thing is, if you really want to make fully customized deck you have to do quite a lot of trading.. Or get 100 or so booster packs and then wish for the best. I just got 12 Noble Victories packs on the site and pulled a Kyurem out of the last one, if I hadn't then then it would've been a complete waste of 12 credits! >.<; I think I might try getting 3 more and making a Kyurem/Zoroark deck...

I didn't know there was a link down the bottom, i'll have to look into that! Hopefully it doesn't lag as badly as the online deck builder.

:o Ummmm...I dont think getting kicked in the head is what Espeon should be worried about...
location location location...

I like your drawing, espeon looks so festive, I really wish I would have added something festive to mine now. I love its pose, I have so much trouble drawing things looking another direction then its body.
