Man xD I'm jealous. I think the person I pulled up randomly for the task and I spent 5 or 6 hours last night trying to get Kung Din. I really really want him before that other forum does something really stupid and the method gets removed permanently. :/

Also to anyone who wants a macro tamed pet but doesn’t have someone there to help them- send me a PM here on the forums and we can trade b.tags! My nelf is the only 90 I have so you will have to be ally or have an ally friend willing to invite me to your server. But I’d love to help anyone who wants one. =)

Yes. Her chain buff is just like the one the lone hunter has. She can die and keep it but RBGs and arenas can remove it.

Apparently some BG fighting can too. So my kitty's going to be an instance only kitty. :3 Thank you again for helping me get my very own chain kitty! I still haven't named him, but I'm pretty sure mine's a boy.

Quick update!
Aeonaxx is still being a jerk and I just finished a macro taming spree in which many happy hunters ended up with chain kitties and sha-toched pets before the hotfix. =)
I also managed to help some guildies get their crimson cloud serpents and a fiery warhorse! ^.^

As for myself- I am having a BLAST in rbgs. Today we hit our 1500 mark and came up a few points shy of 1600.


One team left before the bg even started so we got to run around and good off. I took a screen shot of our team chilling out in the empty bg.

I’m about 55/75 in terms of bgs needed to get my war horse. I’m getting there!

You can do it! And your mount will be pretty and awesome. Just too bad they're not account wide. But at least they're BoA so you can keep getting them and sending them to alts!

After another week of having no luck with Aeonaxx I started to get the urge to fo after a few other mounts. Shadow and Dethkiller were just a few achievements shy of their volcanic stone drakes so we all got together and helped each other get a shiny new mount. =) big thanks to help for the help! We are working on the Crimson cloud serpent now.

So Aeonaxx continues to elude me and I was starting to need a break. So I have decided to work on my argent tournament mounts and finish off the achievements needed for my Crimson Cloud Serpent. Thanks to Dehkiller and some surprisingly awesome pugs- Alani now has a friend!

I also just got my first argent tournament mount. =) I think I want the unicorn and the reskined pally mount next.

Sooooo…I um, I have an Interesting story to tell.

As I stated in my previous post, I have been camping Aeonaxx all day every day for as long as I could and I was getting sick of it. So I hop on over to stormwind to see if any ulduar/icc/ds raids are going on and...nope! But someone is looking for a 3v3s partner, so I tell them I will go.
I figure what the heck, I won’t have time to do anything else between arena matches so I may as well go back to deepholm and chill out. so I fly over to the entrance to Stone Core so I can use my mammoth to buy the regents needed to switch out my glyphs and JUST as I get off of my flying mount…guess who decides to pop in and say: “Lol hay guyz!?”
I turn around and oh my god its Aeonaxx!
I jump back onto my mount and race off twords him, hands shaking and heart pounding so hard I swear it was trying to jump out of my chest and fly away. I start spamming my hotkey to auto mount him. He is so close but I feel like I am moving so slow!
The arrow turns green and I spam my "interact with target" button even faster. “Kill Aeonaxx before his whelps overwhelm you!”
Yes! Oh my god yes! I did it! I caught him!
The moment the words came up on screen, I switched to my /target Aeonaxx /cast arcane shot macro and start spamming it like there is no tomorrow. I watch a huge chunk of his health fall away, then I realize it’s not the only thing falling.
I am plummeting towards the ground.
My heart sinks as I watch in confusion as Aeonaxx flies off into the distance. I had missed him by a millisecond again.
For the first time ever in my life I actually manage to disengage before I hit the ground, sparing myself the walk back from the graveyard. I look up into the sky, watching him leave without me just like he has twice before.
Then I notice something odd. Something that should not be. Someone is killing him but his health bar hasn’t grayed out for me. It’s still red. I try to mount up and follow him but I’m stuck in combat. I watch him reach about 1/3 health before he flies out of sight and a few seconds later I leave combat.
I was torn between holding on to that little glimmer of hope, and feeling absolutely awful about tagging him when someone else had mounted him.
I hadn’t seen the rider so I tried to contact him/her through chat.
Who killed Aeonaxx?
Were you able to loot him?
Who got the mount? Where did he go down?
No one answered. I tied to find the body but had no such luck. He probably despawned while I stood there like a noob trying to figure out what had happened.
When no one responded and I couldn’t find the body, I figured I may as well take my chances and put in a ticket to Blizz to see if I am eligible for an item recovery.
EDIT: They told me they had no record of his death. I hope the other guy got him, would be a shame if a spawn got wasted. This is so frustrating. =/

I'm gunna be honest here, as shitty as that is for you... it's also really interesting. I've been wondering for a while what might happen if someone else mounted him but someone close by actually managed to tag him first, considering Aeonaxx is attackable whether or not you're the one sat on him. Since it was your tag, he probably despawned when he got too far away from you. That really sucks. Would've been awesome if someone else killed him and you got the loot. xD Woulda sucked balls for them, but kinda amusing really. But, gah. I hope you get him next time. And properly.

I have to agree with you. I actually heard a rumor about a druid doing that to someone and they recommended using an auto target macro once you mounted him to make sure you got the first tag to prevent this. (The irony of this has not escaped me. /facepalm)
I didn’t think Aeonaxx would have despawned when he got too far away. Maybe thats why I couldn’t find a body. I think I will go ahead and submit another ticket and see if they can give me the details on what happened to him. The thought of another month of camping dose not excite me, but I have to admit the shitty situation was interesting. =/

Well I talked to a GM and he was more or less scratching his head too. He couldn’t tell me if he despawned or if someone else killed him and had looting rights. (Maybe the player was cross realm and my server didn’t record the kill? Who knows. O.o) He did try it look farther in to the problem for me though, so that was nice. It has been well over a year since I got a real GM (in under 40 minutes no less!) instead of a three day wait for a copy and paste letter so that was kind of nice.

Wow nice kill Moila! I actually have heard a lot of people saying he spawns just before a server restart- sadly I can’t be online when that happens.

Thats really weird, I've never heard of that! I hope you find your one soon then! Or they fix these kind of bugs...I've had a few weird graphic bugs in raids lately...

Damn! That's just weird! I'm about as stumped as you are. I probably would've cried a little too.

=O what a heart breaking story! Aeonaxx I was kinda lucky with, only seen him fly past once already mounted, and then was lucky enough to "fly right" when an alliance right next to me "flew left" and I went the right way to land on him.

TLPD was my heart break after heart break story.

I hope Aeonaxx stops by for you & you get the ride on him soon! He is gorgeous (and the fight was a fun one!)
