I actually went on the Koei wiki the other day to look at all of the unique characters in Conquest and how they are in the other games they've been in (Samurai Warriors et.al.) It's awesome how for the most part their costumes weren't edited too much beyond adding Pokéballs or accessories that match their perfect link Pokémon.

I think I may have to do that too. I'm so stupidly in love with this game now. XD;;

Also, yes, Ranmaru <3. I saw him and was like "I cannot tell if this is a guy or a girl", and then in looking up his background in Samurai Warriors, apparently they designed him to be that way, and to have the other characters even mistake him for a girl constantly (which is why his episode is part of the Beauty Contest scenario).

I'm pretty sure I actually did that at first, too. But I love the fact that the other characters think he's a girl all the time. I have no idea why, but it amuses me to absolutely no end. Hurrrr~ <3

...And come to think of it, I also love Masamune. Though it maaaay just be cause, derp, his signature Pokemon IS Braviary, which I happen to adore. But whatever.


...Why does this game have to have so many good-looking characters? Aughh! XD

Fun fact, I don't think they were supposed to give out Ranmaru's episode on the site, because they insist it's Keiji's episode that they have on Wi-fi. Heheh.

Really? Oh pfft. That figures. I've been waiting for that episode! Not that I'm complaining about getting Ranmaru's instead... But.. Still! XD


And by the way Azu, I think you may like this game anyway. It IS a little, uh, confusing if you're not used to tactics-type games. (Arceus knows I wasn't. I was so lost when I first started playing it. XD) But it's sort of worth getting used to it, if only for the fact that it's.. Pokemon! 8D

(Besides, you get Eevee as a starter. That's ALWAYS a plus. ...Even if mine didn't end up an Umbreon. It was taking far too long to evolve, so I decided, "Screw it, I'm evolving this thing into Flareon!". ...Which turned out just fine considering I had to deal with Steel types and Ice types not too long afterwards. ....Of course I know some people would rather have Glaceon, due to the Dragon types you have to fight later, but I was lucky enough to get an Eevee swarm just before that, so I got one for Oichi (Cause screw you, Jigglypuff! I had her get rid of that thing so fast in favour of a Shinx earlier in the game, too. XD) which I got to evolve into a Glaceon. XD)

The game models, are from the game series called "Samurai Warriors" made by Koei. Thats why the character models look like them Koei and Nintendo my two favriote companys put two of my favriote series of games togther. I want this game so bad.

Finally got around to finishing the main story line (been procrastinating since I've grown attacked to my Haxorus). Finally Castle battle was pretty easy, Weilrein wiped out most of his team in the 3-4th turn (as soon as it was in range), Haxorus wiped out Zekrom in one hit, and Darmanitan finished the stubborn ones that were still standing.

The Legendary battle, was pretty quick, got it within a few turns, just played keep-away with my pokemon so Haxorus could get close enough to link.

And the final battle was slightly tougher, lost 3 of my team to Rayquaza before I took him out, Wigglytuffs and the legendary pokemons aoe attacks worked wonders on Nobunaga's clumped together team, Weilrein once again took out the majority of his team in 2-attacks.
Watched the last little clip play out and now need to decide where to start again.
Hopefully (as the end clip hints at) after you play through the other warlords stories, I will once again be able to be myself and challenge the legendary pokemon once more.

Downloaded the wi-fi event while I remembered about it.

Oh and I also made my own banner for my pokefarm A fast little sketch I did in CE4, with my tablet.

I'm trying to be patient enough to evolve my Eevee into an Umbreon. So far I've been using mostly Warlords and letting them run with their signature Pokemon. The only one I had a bit of trouble with was Yaksha since I was stupid and couldn't figure out how to get Gurdurr out of the damn box for 3 turns. XD I'm being more picky about who gets on my team now. I SHOULD be linking other Pokemon, but MEEEEEEEEEEEH. I'm trying to build Ice and Dragon types for the last battle... Even though I've yet to even conquer Avia, but Luxray should take care of all that. >.>

Err, what link level do you need Eevee to be to get Umbreon/Espeon/Glaceon/Leafeon?

Uhgggg, started my next series of conquests in Ignus with that fire guy, got him a charmander to replace chimchar, but its really slow going, everyone is just so weak I cant even hold a castle that gets attacked. Audino and piplup keep coming in and wiping out all my Pokemon, its infuriating!
Going to take forever to get through this story unless I managed to beat/befriend something useful!!

I've already ragequit Hideyoshi's story twice. I get half of the kingdom united, and then they force an event which basically doubles the Power of every other army, which means I very quickly get overwhelmed and I just want to quit and start over... I could probably do it if I could do things like get Hideyoshi and Kanbei/Hanbei to rank 2 (Hideyoshi at least has Infernape now and its overpowered fire spin, but that won't stop a Gabite and a Quagsire twice its power level...)

So after this latest stalemate situation, where Nobunaga would attack me at Terrera no matter how many times I reset, and against a team which couldn't counter him (and the stage is the worst of the banner-holding stages and I can't defend it), I'm just... I'm taking a break for now. Rubber-band AI power is not how you're supposed to adjust a game's difficulty and it's just frustrating me.

Anyway, the Eeveelutions:

Glaceon: Eevee needs 91 Attack, then fight a battle at Nixtorm
Leafeon: Eevee needs94 Defense, then fight a battle in Greenleaf.

I've found that those values happen in the 60-70% link range, but it varies per Eevee, of course.

Espeon and Umbreon are both 70% link, but then you battle in Illusio for Espeon, and Yaksha for Umbreon.

Had that event happen yesterday, but his army didn't seem to get that much stronger then mine...maybe it was because I was so spread out.
Well, I am just headed to take on the last kingdom, the ice one (uggg, most annoying terrain ever!!), I am stronger then the opposing army, so should be relatively easy. Just finished taking out the draco place, was realllllllyy easy.

So. I am REALLY not excited for the new Pokemon movie anymore.

Of course, this must sound REALLY odd to ANYONE who's seen any of my posts regarding the movie. But now that it's out in Japan, and people have seen it... I'm really not so happy about one thing.

Apparently, it seems as though they're portraying Virizion as FEMALE in this movie.

And you know what I say to that? SCREW YOU, POKEMON. SCREW YOU SO MUCH. After ALL the damn things they did to make it blatantly obvious that the trio are based on the Three Musketeers.. They do THIS.

And of COURSE, Virizion will be female in the dub because of this. I will literally GUARANTEE YOU that he will get a female voice in the English version.

And.. You know? Despite how beyond excited I was for this movie? I'm.. Just not sure if I can say that anymore. It may seem beyond silly to let something like this affect me, but dang it, the fact that Virizion SHOULD be male is a very important subject to me. I've said it a bazillion times.. He is based on a MALE character. Albeit a feminine one. But still a male character. I don't CARE if technically Virizion is a genderless species.. By any sense of actual logic, he should indeed be male. And I am absolutely FURIOUS that they'd do this.

Granted, it IS a Japanese anime, and we all know how many feminine-sounding males there are in anime. But.. Judging from what people have said (This includes someone who actually saw the movie in theaters in Japan.), it truly seems like Virizion is intended to be.. Female in this.

And even if he IS intended to be male in the Japanese version.. As I said before, I will guarantee that he'll be portrayed as female in the dub. If I'm somehow wrong, I SWEAR, I will EAT MY HAT. Like, my FAVOURITE HAT.

Considering that the shiny version of this is this ...I can see where the gender confusion comes in, not to mention the way it looks (form rather then color).

When I first encountered it in-game I thought it was meant to be a female Pokemon, that was before I knew they were based off of the three musketeers.

I can understand how...Passionate you are about things Senna...I know if one of my favorite characters was made to be something it was not [really] meant to be, I'd be mad to.

Well, Shaymin I can see as both male and female. (I don't get why people think Sky Forme in the movie was male.. Why the hell would she change GENDERS?! She just had a less girly voice. That's all.) I mean, I have my own Shaymin character, and he's male.

Besides, Shaymin isn't based on something specific, unlike Virizion, who as I mentioned is based on a male character. (From a rather classic story, no less.) So Virizion really SHOULD be male. Shaymin.. Can be either, in my mind. Especially since it's an entire species, not just one single individual.

As a side note, since it's sort of related... I have to wonder why some people view a species like it's only one individual, and stuff like that. Umbreon and Espeon have it pretty badly, since there's like.. Half of the dang fandom that sees Espeon as female, Umbreon as male and treats them as individuals instead of an ENTIRE SPECIES. Not to mention they ALWAYS ship them. Cause apparently Espeons can't be male, Umbreons can't be female.. And NO MATTER WHAT, the dang things are ALWAYS in love with each other.

Yeah. NO. 8C Other Pokemon have befallen that too, such as Gardevoir and Lopunny. There's males of those species, ya know! Yet everyone ALWAYS called them "she", as if it was one individual thing, not an entire species. (And I will say.. I adore male Gardevoir. I have one in Emerald, and he kicks ass. And I have a Shiny one on PokeFarm. <3)

Pokemon are SPECIES. There are multiples of them, even Legendaries. (With the exception of a few, in my mind. Such as Arceus, Dialga, Giratina and Palkia. Few others, but those are the main ones that I see there only being one of at a time.) And almost every single one of them can be male or female, unless it's obviously otherwise. (Though there's obviously a few I'd argue SHOULD be only one gender.. >.>)

Anyway. Of course, someone could turn that argument back on me to counter what I say about Virizion... Thing is. I do realize it's a whole dang species. I just think the species as a whole SHOULD be male-only. (And in my RP universe? It is. It's a male-only species.)

I think the reason why people tend to ship Espeon and Umbreon is whole Light and Darkness thing, yadda yadda. My trainer character has the opposite actually. Her Umbreon, Tsukiko, is female and her Espeon, Zev, is male.

The one I always thought was silly was Mr. Mime, but that was because the first gen didn't have genders in the games. XD Along with it's Japanese name being Barrier, I believe.

I still wonder who's the male counterpart to Kangskhan. oO Most gender specific Pokemon have counter parts... Like Tauros and Miltank, Nidoking and Nidoqueen, Braviary and Mandibuzz. (Disregarding the fact eggs can only be the species of their mother in game...)

I'm think about creating a Fan-Fic about my team, and in it, My Eevees (since, I have three) evoultion are: Leafeon named Eve: Female, Shiny Umbreon named Puppy: Female, Normal Espeon named Shima (She-ma): Male.
The funny thing is, both Eve and Puppy are in love with Shima....and Shima has a thing for explosives *evil crackle*
But, I see your point, the majority of the people I know who play see the same thing, Espeon=female Umbreon=Male. Ugh. Nope, Mine is based on their personality.

I wish I could find it, but a long time ago I stumbled across a cute Pokemon comic strip that had something like an "underwater" bar scene and there was a macho male Pokemon hitting on a Gorebyss, and the last panel the Gorebyss turns to the macho male Pokemon and says "I am a guy."

Dear Day Care Couple... You're flat out trolls. I send off a male skitty to be bred with my Glaceon in order to get a Eevee with Wish. Female Eevees are already a pain in the ass... what do you do? You replace Wish... YOU REPLACED IT WITH A USELESS MOVE. v.v Sigh. I should just get some of these guys some random Exp just to avoid having moves I need replaced.

Have I mentioned I HATE chaining Shinies with the Poke Radar? CAUSE I DO.

Since lately I've been trying to get a male Shiny Ralts in Platinum. Because on PokeFarm, my best friend ended up hatching a random male Shiny Ralts recently, and because she had been hatching SO many random Shinies the last little while, she decided to give the little guy to me. Because of that, I'm determined to get him in-game too. <3 (And I might add, he will be a GARDEVOIR. Yes, MALE Shiny Gardevoir. Got a problem with that?!)

But UGHHH. I've been having terrible luck with chaining lately. I've managed to get two male Shinies so far (Thank you female Lopunny with Cute Charm. XD), but they both have crappy natures and such. So I'm still looking for a good one. (I now have an Espeon in tow, so I can Synchronize the right nature. Only downside to that is I can't use my Lopunny to nearly guarantee a male. >.> And of course there's still the problem of abilities. But it's better than getting crappy nature after crappy nature, I suppose.)

I'm actually planning on using him for a Battle Subway team in Black, too. A Doubles team, which is something I've never done. He's gonna be teamed up with a Dusknoir, a Moltres and a Zoroark. *Shrugs* Cause I apparently like to throw together totally random teams. XD

The rest of the team is.. Coming together sorta well, luckily. I had to play HeartGold for a while (AKA beat the last two Kanto Gym Leaders to get to Mt. Silver..) before I could get working on Moltres.. But luckily the stupid bird decided to be SORTA nice to me. He trolled me up and down a few times, but the second time I caught him (Which was, let's say.. my 6th try? Something like that?), he had Hidden Power Grass! And according to the IV Calculator on Serebii, it looks to have around 65 base power, which is GREAT. So that part is down, which was honestly the part I was REALLY dreading, besides getting my Ralts.

Granted, the Dusknoir and Zoroark are gonna be annoying. At least somewhat. The Dusknoir has already given me some trouble.. Since I realized I DIDN'T HAVE THE TM FOR FOCUS PUNCH ANYWHERE IN MY GAMES!!! (And she's gonna be a SubPunching set~) Luckily, in my spare copy of HeartGold.. I WAS in Ecruteak City. So after facerolling the Gym there (And after me fangirling the entire way through the actual Gym battle.. Morty, Y U SO CUTE?! <3), then skedaddling to Cianwood City as fast as possible, and then facerolling the Gym there.. I managed to get the TM. XD And in SoulSilver I currently have an Adamant Duskull with an Everstone and another Duskull with 31 IVs in Attack with a Power Bracer in Daycare, for Everstone-breeding and IV-breeding respectively. Hopefully it won't take too long for me to hatch the right little Duskull.

And as for the Zoroark? Honestly shouldn't give me too much trouble, other than the fact that I think it's gonna be female. XD That could be annoying. But otherwise.. The biggest problem this team is gonna give me is THAT DAMN RALTS!!!
