Kind of lame that they didn't give us eggs for the new Chorus dragon. Even more lame that Chorus dragons don't get the Chorus gene. My poor funds... Anyway, here's my first pair of Chorus dragons. Hooray hydra, hooray no wings!
Normally I get some wacky combos here and there, but I kept it simple. I bought a(n overpriced) Nocturne egg for random colors, and got my male that way; Vermilion, Mauve, and Fuchsia were the results. I personally don't really care much for the latter colors, especially with the genes because my GOD do they make ugly color combos, so I kept it basic for secondary and tertiary. The primary color however went from a nice red to a very nice orange with cool stripes when given the Spool gene, so that was a cheap(?) and satisfying result. My female Chorus is just the Indoraptor from Jurassic World, and I skipped the headache of breeding and just bought an Obsidian/Obsidian/Sanddollar off the auction house. Thank god there's no shortage of people who want dark primary and secondary colors for cheap. I went with Crosshatch for primary because it remained simple, but gave a distinct underbelly without wasting the tertiary gene. Tertiary went to Contour because... well, Indoraptor has a yellow stripe, and this made a yellow stripe lol. I could've gone with a more vibrant yellow, but A) they were more expensive and B) I like the faded yellow look. It having red eyes was just a pure stroke of luck.
I would've loved to get a Trigore the Lasher hydra, but no such luck was on my side.
