GMs =/= Devs.
They have no say on what is or is not actually intended.
They're the police force, not the judges.

Most GMs no little more about the game than anyone else. They get a manual with the things the are and are not allowed to do, and the punishments they are/are not allowed to give, and how to handle unexpected problems.

This pretty much ^

I've had GMs that when I once reported a bug with my current pet wolf who I had for over a year, their response was "Well just go tame a different wolf. There's lots more available to your level". =/ Not exactly helpful GM, I could've figured that out myself.

There are more hotfixes coming in when the realms restart, so I'm hoping a blue comes out and states their stance on the situation. I think it'd be bull for players to just login to find things they worked on altered/changed. Especially for those who ran with oil-stained wolves for far longer than these recent guides have been up :(

Hey I have been stalking the thread and Community for a while now but just poped up to say a few small things.
Thanks to Acherontia for everything you have done! And thanks to everyone else in the great community.

Anyone know if it can keep the eggs on it? I don't think it can but I did give it a shot.
First attempt was a failure :< We will see later.

Yeah I saw that :/ I thought that would make it hard to do.
Ah well it was an interesting idea. It did make him keep the sculls that float around it.

Anyways Just wanted to thank you guys again for my new friend who all now need names >:/
Thinking of: "OppsIsliped" "ISlipped" For the Lone hunter, And thinking of "Hardmode"(Name of a shaman friend) "Tamed Shaman" "Spirit wolf"
My normal naming convention for pets isnt working :< Snowy (White lion), Sooty (Black lion), Woolly (Rhino) ect.
Any ideas would be great! Happy hunting!

-____- /dies

So, since this whole thread came up and someone found out about Spiteflayer and his awesome Feltaint, Ive been out and about checking his spawn now and then for him.

Literally, 2 minutes ago, i go out and I spam /tar spit as usual, and he comes up, I was so happy! I did the tame and disband macro, logged out and back in, called him out and boasted upon his beauty.
I was sitting there thinking to myself 'I wonder if this effect persists through death'
Literally, 3 seconds later; Im dead. I blink my eye, and Im dead.
I look around me, there is fire everywhere, looking up I see a huge molten tail go off into the distance. Deathwing.
I was just like -_____-; SO that concludes to my question if the effect lasts or not. - I run to my body and rez, and I rez Spite. No effect, I died on the inside q.q
Atleast I got the achievement. /twitch

It's one of the first quests. You could probably get someone to make a brand new Horde, and in five minutes get to that quest. It's how I did it. Wheedled a friend into making a moo-cow for a single pet. :D

Forgive me if I missed a post about this already in the massive log... But in regards to spirit wolves, has anyone re-checked this old posting in regards to the dire wolves in Mount Hyjal: http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... ount+hyjal? Can they be tamed yet or will this work on them? Just some food for thought. ^.~

You think if we all parade around with these guys out, Blizz will make the skins/effects permanent, like they did for the 1st Serpent? (They make that a new pet family even)
which 5 keep there buffs?
